I consider myself a Christian. I’ve been following what’s been going on in Palestine since the festival massacre, where Hamas terrorists specifically attacked, murdered, raped and took hostage civilians. When Israel attacked Hamas in Gaza in response to rescue the hostages and put an end to the terrorist group that has declared death to ALL Jews, I have watched in sadness and empathy the death and destruction of Gaza and her people, but the simplistic response of the protesters and their anti semitic rhetoric has me horrified. Let me put this into perspective: during WWII the United States dropped 2 atom bombs and fire bombed Tokyo for a CIVILIAN death toll of between 300,000 to 400,000. The total civilian death toll on Germany from allied bombs was in excess of 800,000. These numbers didn’t result in protests, hate speech. And while a number of Nazis and Japanese soldiers were tried and convicted of war crimes the remaining innocent civilians were left to become the staunch defenders of civilization that children have become. Now we’ve become defenders of those that sponsor terrorism against innocent civilians who were praying for joy, peace and understanding between both sides of the current war between the terrorists and the Israeli army. 6 MILLION innocent Jews were executed and hundreds of thousands of innocent Chinese were massacred during WWII. And while we gave a pass to the people who promoted and followed both Hitler and Hirohito in starting WWII we never shed a tear for those hundreds of thousands innocent enemies who died during that war. And now we have the gall, the temerity to blame the entire Jewish population for the Israeli army finally trying to stamp out the terrorists who consider all Jews as someone to kill with no thought except how fast with as much pain and suffering as they can bestow . Nobody is saying how the people of Gaza voted Hamas to govern them. Nobody has wondered how Hamas could have built the tunnels under Gaza and into Israel AND Egypt without the innocent population of Gazans knowing and applauding it. How can we compare people are forced to dig out terrorists from under Hospitals because they use the population of innocent to hide behind to those that seek out unarmed festival goers to kill, rape and kidnap and video tape their beastialty with out qualm but with glee. Where is our justice, our humanity that we can vilify the victims and defend those that started this holocaust?

I’ve been tracking what Is happening in Ukraine since before the Russian annexation of Crimea and their proxy annexation of the eastern regions of Ukraine. This all began with a similar proxy take over of the northern parts of Georgia. The western powers were not interested in making a big issue in Georgia so I believe that this gave Russia freedom to do the same to Ukraine. When the US does nothing when Russia shoots down civilian aircraft both near Korea and in Ukraine is it any wonder why China assumes that we won’t do anything when the send surveillance balloons into our airspace and the think that they can get away with threatening our ally Taiwan and we won’t respond? Are we going to allow escalations continue until we go to war with both Russia and China or are we going to state what our limits are and stand by them? What do you think will happen if China invades Taiwan? The Covid pandemic tripled the price of cars in the US because we couldn’t get micro chips and Taiwan is a huge producer of microchips. The problem is that this has been going on for decades and we are now finally doing something about it. Unless we get ahead of it instead of reacting to it we are going to have World War 3!

You forgot to mention those of us who fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Those of us that believe the government should stay out of our lives except to insure that everyone’s rights are honored. And I mean everyone’s.

Unfortunately, laws are written by people. And in this country the people who write the laws are the most powerful people in the country. And it is human nature to come up with reasons to keep power. Making it an us and them argument makes it easy to convince us that these immigration laws are in our best interest. America was founded by immigrants. The immigrants I know come here for the American dream, they fight for themselves and their families. The contribute to their community, as a well as to their new country. They want to be a part of this country. Their children get good grades and go to college. It’s sad that we let the people in power convince us that these people working to better themselves and become American are not the same as us. They become entrepreneurs and create jobs for other Americans. These are people you want as your neighbors and friends. We should be welcoming the vast majority of them, not isolating them. It’s when we tear away their chance for the American dream when they become something else. If you feed their dream, you’ll feed yours as well and when we start recognizing that we are all Americans then we won’t have to fear anyone.

Racism

You can't change people by saying that you hate them. You must set an example for them. You can't gain their respect without showing them that you are worthy of it. Look beyond their infantile behavior and realize the good in them. Pointing out only their faults just exposes your own prejudices.

Racism is "taught" hate. You don't fight it by hating back. Teach them the truth. Remember MLK.

Then they cry racism when Black/Latinx/Asians/Native people start their own fraternities and sororities.

I just finished listening to this raving lunatic taking about her culture and how my country suppressed her culture. If her religion wasn't based on someone who began suppressing everyone not of his tribe from the time he picked up his first sword I might have some sympathy. At least my religion was based on one of the oppressed who taught love instead of hate.
