Me had an Idea.
So i create an Au.
Zuko is not dead.
The earth kingdom started the war.
And i made zuko ugly, but just this time. I think.

As a viewer I can understand a few reasons why Zuko compared Aang to Azula, but if he was to say that in front of other characters they'd be SO confused

So, I have no idea if you’re still even thinking about the spirit bending dragon au, but this scene has been bouncing around my head and I thought I might as well say it. Feel free to ignore this.
Think of a version of the bad ending in the dragon au, but a version with Druk. So basically, the idea is that Druk is a baby baby dragon at this point- younger than Azula, even, maybe just a few years old- and Ran and Shaw, not knowing about what Aang and Zuko are going to do to Azula, see that Druk finds Zuko interesting and are just like ‘okay, yeah, if you want to hang out with him when he’s old and be his companion, maybe spend a little more time with him now.
So Zuko has this baby dragon following him around, and this baby dragon is very confused. Because he can smell a dragon, he can smell his sister, but he can’t find her anywhere. Fast forward to when Aang is about to take Azula’s bending away, and Druk is absolutely thrilled. Because look, grumpy nice boy! That’s my sister! Mom and Dad are going to be so happy! Wait, no. Nice arrow boy, what are you doing? NO! STOP! SHE’S HURTING! STOP THATS MY SISTER!
Everyone in the Gaang besides Aang is trying to hold Druk back because they’re afraid he’s going to hurt Aang. Then Aang removes his hands from Azula, steps back looking exhausted, and Azula stops screaming and collapses. Druk’s roars no longer mix with his sister’s. His sister is dead. And then Ran and Shaw crash through the roof, absolutely furious.
Wow, Anon, I didn't know it was even possible to make The Bad Ending to the Dragon AU even sadder, but man, congratulations, you did it.

People's ability to depict Zuko as an absolutely terrible brother when they're attempting to depict him as a good brother never fails to astonish me.

So, just to clarify. When someone wants to sent an Azutara or other characters ideas for a draw or something like that. Please refrain yourselves of sending gore, extreme violence and sexual stuff. I may have not say restrictions, but now i do. Thanks for your atention.

For Comic!Zuko?, nah. I swear they made him lose all the brain cells that he could possibly had.
But in case it work out, that would be so interesting to see. They would be like, " are we really the good guys?, cuz right now it doesn't seem like it ".
This made me think of what could have occur if Azula drop dead. Let's remember that said boomerang is sharp, and that a god damn hit in the head can kill you, even if the obejct isn't trow with much force.
How much would it change?
What is the Fire Nation going to think of Zuko?, it would be unacceptable. Letting one water tribe men kill their princess.
But then i remember this fandom mostly doesn't give a fuck about Azula so, yeah.
And before you tell me something this thought was just a what if.

Always The Exception
A ficlet featuring beta!Azula being a little insecure about omega!Katara actually wanting her. All my A/B/O are fully @the-genius-az's fault (hope you enjoy it, I promise this not a tragedy.
Growing up, Azula has learned that being an omega doesn't make you inherently weak, look at Ozai. Being an alpha doesn't make you inherently strong, look at Ursa. Being a beta doesn't make you anyone's favorite, look at Zhao.
Zuko and Azula are just the exceptions.
Zuko isn't weak, she never believed. She always thought he should put more effort in his bending, in his studies. He had the potential. Not being a prodigy never meant he couldn't become one of the most powerful, skilled Firebenders of his generation. But he would whine about anything that Azula was ever slightly better than him, and go cry on Mother's arms, and Mother kept giving him space to become actually weak.
The firstborn alpha son constantly upstaged by the secondborn beta daughter.
Azula grew up doing everything she could to be valuable, a need that carved its way into her very bones. Carved with claws made of fire handled by Ozai, by Ursa and by everything in the Royal Family culture.
Now, twelve years after the end of the war, Azula can feel that insecurity burning under her skin. Because she's a beta among alphas and omegas, a better bender and a better fighter, there's the underlying convention that betas don't belong so high up in society.
It doesn't quite matter for them, they tell her. They make sure she knows she belongs – as a person, not a weapon the way Ozai did.
She's not sure what is going on between her and Katara. The omega waterbender had broken up with Aang, with the Avatar, with the most wanted alpha in the world, and has been getting closer and closer to her. They kissed a few times, but Azula is used to that, to being an experiment. She's not even bitter about it, betas don't mate.
"You're being very clingy," Azula comments, because Katara is, sitting on her lap with face on Azula's neck.
"You smell so good."
"I smell-" the extra sweetness finally hits. "Are you in heat?"
"Not yet."
"I'm sure you know I do not possess the needed equipment."
"Needed equipment," she repeats with a giggle. "I just want you to be here, just cuddle and hold me."
"I'm just a be-"
"No," Katara moves back, pupils blown wide but still sober. "You're the strongest bender I know, you're loyal and fierce and brave. And you're beautiful too. You're just great. Why wouldn't I want to be with you?"
"You want to be with me?"
"'Zula, I've been trying to court you for a year."
"What?"
"For a genius, you're so oblivious."
"I'm just a beta, you're surrounded by suitable alphas."
"You're Azula, that means a lot more than you think it does. Now just hold me, we'll figure the rest later, if you want to."
"I- yes. We'll figure it out later."
