What’s Included in Your New Chevy’s Car Warranty?
When you buy a new vehicle, you want to be sure that your investment pays off. A generous car warranty can help you to feel confident about your purchase, which is why the Chevrolet brand offers a variety of great warranties and services to customers. Today, let's have a look at what is included and which services you can get for free at your Columbus, OH Chevy dealer when you buy your brand-new car.
Bumper to Bumper Car Warranty
Bumper to bumper warranty includes almost every repair from the front bumper to the rear bumper, hence the name. For example, you'll be covered if you have an issue with your air conditioning or your transmission, and all costs will be paid for by the manufacturer. For Chevy vehicles, this type of warranty is good for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, for any 2021 vehicle you buy. That way, you can be sure that any issues or faults with your car can be resolved at no cost. What's more, there is no deductible for any problems caused due to bad workmanship or defects in the materials.
Powertrain Limited Warranty
This type of warranty will cover the costs of repairing issues with your powertrain, which includes your engine, the transmission, and the drivetrain. These components should work for many years with no problems, so the Chevrolet brand is happy to give drivers of certain types of vehicles an extended warranty on these parts. If your vehicle qualifies, you will benefit from this for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever one comes first. You can get in touch with your Chevrolet dealership to find out more and to see which cars come with a powertrain limited warranty.
Maintenance and Roadside Assistance
If you purchase or lease your new vehicle from the dealership, your first maintenance appointment is likely to be free. Depending on your chosen model, this might include a tire rotation, oil change, and a multi-point vehicle inspection. In addition, there is a roadside assistance program that offers customers free, 24-hour assistance if they break down while on the road. You can benefit from a variety of helpful services that include emergency fuel delivery, jump starts, flat tire change, lockout service, and emergency towing on non-restricted roadways, as long as you are still within your warranty period. That way, you'll never have to worry about getting stuck on the road.
Contact Your Chevy Dealer in Columbus, OH
Above, we have outlined Chevy's most important warranty policies for new cars. However, these rules change over time, and they don't apply to all cars in the same way. For this reason, you should speak to your dealer if you're not sure about what kind of coverage you have. They know all the various Chevy models and will be able to explain to you which types of warranties you can benefit from. The Chevrolet brand offers several helpful warranties to buyers of new vehicles, thereby ensuring that every driver has a great experience with their car. Call or message us today at Dan Tobin Chevrolet to find out more about this topic and to have a look at our great range of Chevy cars.

4 Signs Your Chevy Might Need a Radiator Repair
Tumblr media
Your cooling system has one of the most important jobs out of all of your vehicle's components. Your engine will melt if your radiator doesn't keep it cool, so stopping by your Chevy dealer when something's wrong is vital. Get your radiator checked out regularly, and get a radiator repair when necessary.
4 Signs You Need Radiator Repair From Your Chevy Dealer
1. Coolant Pool
A coolant pool is the most visible sign of a leak in your cooling system. A bright liquid will collect under the front of your vehicle. It's usually green, so it's hard to miss. It can occasionally be pink or yellow. The fluid has a sweet smell. If you attempt to drive while your coolant is draining away, then you're going to damage your engine. You could end up with a cracked block or a blown head gasket. Get your dealer on the phone, because you need to make an appointment right now.
2. Discoloration and Rust
Old metal sheds and other outdoor fixtures grow discolored and rusty with age. This is because they're exposed to the elements. However, your engine is not exposed to the elements, so discoloration and rust will never be signs of an aging engine. They're always going to indicate that your engine is getting wet somehow. The only way your engine could be getting wet is if one of your fluids is leaking onto it. This fluid is coolant the majority of the time. Your cooling system and your engine both require attention now, so be sure to make those arrangements.
3. Dropping Coolant Level
If you regularly inspect your vehicle, then it's easy to be able to predict when you'll need to get your fluid levels topped off. You'll know that it's very strange to discover that one of your levels is lower than it should be. That means that the fluid is leaking, and if you can't see it pooling by your vehicle, then it's caused by a pinhole in one of the pipes.
4. Temperature Gauge Rising
Unfortunately, your vehicle can't scream "danger!" when it's getting too hot. It can only let you know by making your temperature gauge's needle point towards hot. Make an emergency stop. It doesn't matter what you're doing when this happens. Getting to the side of the road and shutting your vehicle down should be your priority right now. Neglecting to pull over can only lead to a nightmarish situation. This nightmarish situation is the fifth sign that your cooling system isn't doing its job.
5. Steam
White steam means your engine is burning up and ready to melt. The steam will rise from your hood, so pull over and make sure you pop the hood as quickly as possible. You need to let all that steam escape, and your engine needs a breath of fresh air. Call a tow truck, because there's no way you're going to be able to drive until your vehicle is fixed up. Please call Dan Tobin Chevrolet during one of the emergencies described above. Our expert technicians are ready to repair your vehicle whenever needed.

Tumblr media
Columbus, OH has the moderate temperatures and beautiful landscape to be a wonderful area to enjoy any number of healthy and fun outdoor activities.
5 Great Outdoor Activities to Enjoy Near Columbus, OH
1. Explore the Local Trails and Parks
Columbus has great trails for both hiking and biking. You can find paths of whatever length you're comfortable with in the area around the city, as well as some excellent ones in Columbus itself. Taking the Olentangy Greenway Trail along the river is a perfect way to see some of the city's neighborhoods, as well as the Ohio State University Campus. If you're looking to add a little variety to your exercise, try stopping by the 35-foot outdoor climbing wall at Scioto Audubon Metro Park. Or maybe dial-up the excitement by booking a zipline tour at ZipZone Outdoor Adventures.
2. Take-In the City's Cultural Scene
Near downtown Columbus is German Village, a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood whose appearance has changed little since the 1800s. Whether you decide to book a guided tour or to explore the brick streets on your own, you'll find the area full of historical buildings as well as independent shops and restaurants to visit. For a taste of the modern Columbus, try taking a stroll around the Short North Arts District. Located just to the north of downtown, Short North is full of murals, galleries, boutiques, and restaurants.
3. Visit the Local Beaches and Waterways
Several of the parks in the Columbus vicinity are on lakes or reservoirs with beaches. While not all are suitable for swimming, any of them are a great place to visit on a warm day, maybe with a packed-lunch and a Frisbee. In Columbus itself the Olentangy and Scioto are popular relatively gentle rivers that are popular with kayakers and canoeists. You can even give paddleboarding a try if you like.
4. Bring the Kids for an Outing
From splash pads to playgrounds, many of the city's parks have areas that cater to children. These parks can be a great way to get the kids out and active for a couple of hours, but there are also areas that are intended for longer visits. Consider planning for a longer stay at:
•         The Children's Garden at Franklin Park Conservatory
•         Slate Run Living Historical Farm
•         The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
5. Get Some Fresh Air and Fun During Winter
Even in winter, the Columbus area seldom becomes bitterly cold, so many trails are still enjoyable in cooler months, so long as you dress for the weather. And the cold weather opens-up some new options like sledding and, if it stays cold enough for a few days, ice skating. If you're a hard-core athlete or just looking for a relaxing diversion, Columbus has plenty to do outside, both within the city and just a short drive away.  The great part is that much of it is available year-round and is healthy fun whether you're alone or with friends and family. While you're exploring the Columbus area please visit us at Dan Tobin Chevrolet to take a look at our fantastic selection of vehicles.

4 Essential Services You Can Find at Your Columbus Chevy Dealership
Tumblr media
If you want to keep your car in prime condition, you have to keep up with its service schedule, making sure to get key systems checked and fluids changed on a regular basis to avoid any unwanted issues. Fortunately, you can find all the services you need at your friendly Columbus, OH Chevy dealership. Read on for a list of some of the top services to get.
4 Essential Services You Can Find at Your Columbus, OH Chevy Dealership
1. Fluid Checks
Cars rely on many different fluids, including brake fluid, engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, and so on. Each fluid has a role to play, and if any of them leak out, get contaminated, or start running low, drivers can start experience all kinds of issues with their vehicles. You can notice poor engine performance if your engine oil is old and dirty, for instance, or unresponsive brakes if the brake fluid is leaking. You may be able to check many fluids on your own, but if you'd prefer to leave this task in the hands of an expert, you can request a fluid check at your local dealership. There, a mechanic will be able to inspect each of your vehicle's main fluids and let you know if there are any issues or if any fluids need changing or refilling.
2. Tire Inspections
As you drive around from place to place across different roads and surfaces, your car's tires wear down. The treads will slowly wear away through friction, and the tire pressure levels will also change throughout the year. Plus, there's always a risk that you might drive over something sharp, which could puncture the rubber and cause some serious problems. So, it's a good idea to get your car's tires inspected by a professional at the dealership. A trained mechanic will be able to look at each tire, inspecting closely for any punctures or problems and adjusting the pressure levels, too.
3. Multi-Point Inspections
Cars are quite complicated machines, with a long list of components and systems. Issues can arise with many different parts of your car, from the chassis to the steering wheel, brakes, seatbelts, tires, and so on. Keeping track of all those different parts is almost impossible for the average car owner, so you might want to request a multi-point inspection at your local dealer. As the name implies, a multi-point inspection is when a mechanic looks at multiple parts of your car. They'll inspect lots of different areas, from hoses and fittings to brake pads and side mirrors. Then, they'll give you a full report of their findings and let you know if they've found any issues that need fixing.
4. Engine Diagnostics
If you've noticed that your engine isn't performing quite right, you may want to get an engine diagnostic. This process involves the use of special equipment to connect with your car's computer and learn about the general health and status of the engine. This is one of the best services to get if you spot the "Check Engine" light on your dashboard, or if you feel that your engine is slow, unresponsive, less powerful than usual, or excessively noisy. The mechanics at your local dealer are ready to provide all of these services and many more to keep your car in the best possible condition. Call Dan Tobin Chevrolet today to schedule your next auto service.

4 Reasons to Get Your New Car from Your Columbus Chevy Dealer
Tumblr media
Are you thinking about buying a new car? You have the choice of purchasing from a third-party seller or going to your local dealership. If you're looking to have the best experience possible, here are just a few reasons why you should go to your Columbus, OH Chevy dealer.
4 Reasons to Get Your New Car from Your Columbus, OH Chevy Dealer
1. Quality Products
If you're spending any amount of money on a car, then it's important to make sure that that car is of good quality. Sadly, many third-party dealerships offer less-than-good quality vehicles that won't necessarily last as long as you'd like them to. It's a different story when you buy your car through your local dealership. When you go this route, you can trust that all of the vehicles on the lot are of impeccable quality. Expect your car to last a long time when you buy from your dealership.
2. Fantastic Customer Service
It's not just the quality of the products that are important to your dealership. They also want to make sure that your overall shopping experience is the best it can possibly be. Not all third-party sellers can say the same thing. They may resort to some not so honest tactics to sell their vehicles. But your local dealership is committed to you as a customer. They have a reputation to uphold, and that means that you'll always get top-notch customer service. Because the staff at your dealership are experts in Chevy vehicles, you can also count on always getting the best advice.
3. The Time You Need
Purchasing a new vehicle is a really big decision. If you're buying your car from a third-party seller, then it can also mean that you need to make a decision quickly. Unfortunately, fast decisions don't always lead to good decisions. In fact, they tend to lead to the opposite. When you work with your local dealer, however, you'll be given all the time you need to make a decision that works for you. Having trouble deciding on a car? Most dealers will let you take a day or two to sleep on it and really think over your choices.
4. Warranties
You can't always trust that you're getting good quality when you buy your car from a third-party seller. You also won't be able to count on the dealer to provide you with a warranty. This means that if something goes wrong with your vehicle, you'll be the one responsible for paying for any repairs it needs. When you buy your car at your local dealer, your dealership will offer you a warranty. This will help keep you and your wallet safe if something unexpected happens to your car. Shopping for a new car is an exciting experience. But if you want to make sure that you're getting the best products, customer service, and the time and financial safety you need, then it's best to head to your dealership. Are you ready to start shopping? Come visit us today at Dan Tobin Chevrolet.

4 Reasons Drivers Love the 2021 Chevy Suburban
Tumblr media
There are many options when it comes to buying an SUV. However, it can be difficult to determine which one has the best quality of them all. This is why Chevy took an extra step to ensure the 2021 Chevy Suburban provides all the comfort and luxury you deserve.
4 Reasons Drivers Love the 2021 Chevy Suburban
1. Power at Your Disposal
There are different engines available when you purchase the new Suburban. All of them are as powerful as they get, and you'll have a 6-cylinder diesel engine as well as two V8 gasoline options to choose from.
Plus, you also have AWD features as well a rear-wheel-drive that takes your new SUV to another level. Therefore, your Suburban will be able to overcome almost every challenge you put in front of it. You will be able to transport a full cargo space and even tow another vehicle without any issues.
2. Incredible Towing Power
When it comes to towing, the 2021 Suburban is one of the best vehicles you can choose. This SUV can easily tow 7,500 pounds, and with an equipment upgrade, this number rises to 8,300 pounds.
In comparison, a regular full-size SUV can tow up to 6,500 pounds while only exceptional mid-size pick-up trucks are able to tow a load of 8,000 pounds. This makes the Suburban a whole new type of SUV, a versatile vehicle that can cover all your transport needs.
3. Ample Cargo Space
If there is something you want in an SUV is a large cargo space and the new Chevy Suburban does not disappoint. In total, it can contain 145 cubic feet of cargo. This is a considerable upgrade from prior Suburban models.
This is why the rear suspension was specially designed to be able to sustain such a large cargo area. The goal is for you to be able to do what you need to get done without facing any obstacles at all.
4. Truly Outstanding Stability
The Suburban might be fully loaded but your stability will not be hampered. This is partly thanks to the power-assisted steering systems. As a consequence, you won't feel any type of vibration, regardless of how fast you're going.
Changing lanes when you are on a highway or wide roads is easier than ever as the centered weight of your ride allows you to do this safely, regardless of the cargo you hold. The goal is for both you and your vehicle to be stable at all times.
This new Suburban model brings about a whole new level of comfort, safety, and possibilities. You will have an adaptable vehicle that can help you in your everyday tasks as well as your special cargo needs at any time. This can be a perfect match for you, your business, your family, or all of the above! Adaptability is the name of the game here. Visit Dan Tobin Chevrolet to take a look at this beautiful ride. It might just be just what you've been looking for!

4 Essential Features of the 2021 Chevy Colorado
Tumblr media
Chevy is known for manufacturing sturdy, practical trucks that appeal to an array of drivers. The 2021 Chevy Colorado is no different. This small pickup is perfect for people who want it for both everyday use and mildly heavy-duty tasks. It's an excellent family vehicle, and it also works well as a work truck for some professions.
4 Essential Features of the 2021 Chevy Colorado
1. Base Engine Is Easy to Maintain
The Chevy Colorado has a powerful but simple base engine. The simplicity makes it desirable for users who want something that's easy to maintain. It's a four-cylinder engine that puts out a hefty 200 horsepower, and that's plenty of power for most drivers. It's enough power to get you through the day, but it can also help you with hauling a decent load of 5,500 pounds. It has a fuel economy of 26 mpg, and it's generally a low-maintenance engine. There are other engine options available. For example, there's a V6 engine with 308 horsepower, and that one can let you haul 7,000 pounds. It's an excellent and efficient engine with a fuel economy of 25 mpg.
2. There Are Off-Roading Trims Colorado Z71
This Colorado trim was made specifically for off-roading, and it has standard four-wheel drive to help with that. It also has hill descent control and a heavy-duty suspension system. These features can help with rougher roads and steep, hilly areas.
Colorado ZR2
There's further off-roading power in this trim. It features the same off-roading features as the trim above, but it has further features that can enhance your experience. Rocker protection and special shocks are there to aid performance and durability, and there are locking rear and front differentials that provide incredible traction. This trim is perfect for taking on roads with dirt and sand on them.
3. Teen Driver System
We mentioned earlier that this is an excellent family vehicle, and the teen driver system helps prove that. This system was made with new drivers in mind, and it lets you control elements of your teenager's driving experience. For example, you can set a limit on how fast your teen can drive, and the Colorado won't accelerate beyond that speed. You can also view highly detailed information on your teenager's driving habits. This is perfect for examining their bad habits and teaching them to break them accordingly. You can view this information on your phone, so you're never too far away from being able to keep an eye on your teenager.
4. Safety Features Available
The Teen Driver System isn't the only safety feature that the Chevy Colorado has to offer. There's also an optional safety package that can benefit any member of the family. This package includes common safety features, such as lane departure warnings and forward collision alerts. These safety features work well when paired with the Teen Driver System, as they're an excellent tool to help teach your teenager how to drive safely. Come and see us at Dan Tobin Chevrolet if you're interested in the Chevy Colorado. Take it out for a test drive today.

Test-Drive the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500
Tumblr media
If you're looking for a versatile work truck that also works great as a daily driver, the 2021 Chevy Silverado checks all the boxes. It's lightweight yet offers extraordinary dependability, performance, and functionality in one affordable package. Whether you want this truck as a workhorse or just to run to the store, it's the perfect choice.
Take a Close Look at the 2021 Chevy Silverado
As soon as the latest Silverado hit the market, both critics and customers agreed that this was a reliable truck with a high amount of versatility. It's one of the most popular trucks in America for a reason: it packs a ton of power and work capabilities into a newer, bigger, and lighter body.
Excellent Value
With a starting MSRP at $29,300, this truck is one of the most affordable options for a truck. If you want all the extras, you're looking at $53,900 fully equipped. However, that's still a fair price for the best trim and options available on the Silverado. Even if you don't want to splurge on the higher trims, the base model is more than capable enough and has many extras that allow you to customize this truck to your exact needs.
Multi-Flex Tailgate
One of the best new features on this truck is Chevy's new multi-flex tailgate. This available upgrade allows the tailgate to fold in—count 'em—six different directions! This incredible versatility makes loading or unloading a breeze. It doesn't stop there, though. You've also got LED lights, electrical outlets, and a step to make the tailgate one of the best features on the pickup.
Power and Performance
Chevy has built its name on producing powerful, work-ready trucks, and the '21 Silverado fits the bill. You can pick your choice of engine options, including turbocharged or diesel, both of which have plenty of horses. Towing capacity depends on your personal preference but reaches all the way to a massive 13,300 lbs, with payload maxing out at 2280 lbs. This truck is also is perfect for drivers of all styles. A four-cylinder turbocharged engine offers zero to sixty in just a tad over five seconds for those who love to go quick off the line. For a smoother and quieter ride, then the diesel engine is most the best choice. You might also think that a truck of this size couldn't have good fuel efficiency, but you'd be wrong--the diesel engine gets a whopping 33 miles to the gallon. That's not too shabby for a half-ton pickup!
Advanced Driver Assistance
The onboard infotainment screen is perfect for assisting with towing and reversing with a range of camera angles. You also get a trailer length indicator and a jackknife alert. This allows you to stay safe while performing complex maneuvers. If you're all about connectivity, the infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The '21 Silverado combines the perfect amount of power and efficiency with workhorse capabilities, making it one of the most popular choices for a pickup truck in America. Whether you want it for work, everyday driving, or its towing capacity, the Silverado won't let you down. Head down to Dan Tobin Chevrolet in Columbus, OH, today and take a close look at the brand-new '21 Chevy Silverado.

With an EPA-estimated range of 259 miles on a full charge, you'll be well on your way to wherever your travels take you next while other vehicles are stuck at the gas pump. The 120-volt portable charge cord makes it easy to keep your Bolt going no matter where you are.
2. Go Eco-Friendly in Style
While it may have been enough to deliver the next generation of electric vehicle with the impressive efficiency you read about above, Chevy went the extra mile by making the Bolt as stylish as the rest of their impressive lineup. Fun colors like Cajun Red and Kinetic Blue add some distinctive style and individuality to your vehicle, each bringing its own look to the streets.
3. Outperform Expectations
During this new technology's development, some electric vehicles haven't delivered the same thrilling ride as conventional vehicles. Prepare to have your expectations for what an electric vehicle can give you change with the new Bolt. Going from zero to 60 in just six and a half seconds, the Bolt can keep up with any competitor and let you get an efficient and eco-friendly ride that's still a whole lot of fun.
4. Drive with Peace of Mind
With all the latest tech going into the Bolt's engineering, you can rest assured that the same innovative design was carried over to the features that keep you and your passengers safe. The available rear camera mirror and HD Surround Vision systems help keep you aware of your surroundings in even the trickiest situation. Features like those led to the Bolt being given a five-star rating from the NHTSA.
5. Embrace the Future Affordably
Getting a greener ride that still gives you the sporty performance you enjoy shouldn't mean breaking the budget to get there. With the Bolt, you can take your ride into the future for a price you can afford. An MSRP as low as $36,500 shows Chevy's commitment to deliver a vehicle that embraces all the latest technological innovations while still making it available to as many drivers as possible. Considering the Bolt for your future car? We can answer any questions you may have about this exciting electric vehicle when you stop by. You can also schedule a test drive to experience the exceptional performance the Bolt offers yourself. Come find your next vehicle at Dan Tobin Chevrolet!

How Do You Know When Your Car Needs a Brake Repair?
Tumblr media
Keeping your vehicle's brakes in good condition is important not only for road safety, but also for maintaining your car's longevity. Thankfully, you don't need to be a mechanic, or even a car enthusiast, to identify most instances when your car is in need of brake repair. If you can keep a few warning signs in mind as you drive your vehicle, you will be able to stay ahead of the curve and know when your brakes are in need of service.
What to Look For
The first thing you can do is make a visual inspection. Looking through the empty spaces between your wheel's spokes, you should be able to see a circular, metal rotor. Attached to the rotor will be a chunky, hinged component called a caliper. What you're looking for is the cushioning between the caliper and the rotor, known as the brake pads. Your brake pads should always have a thickness of one-quarter inch; anything less is a sign that your brakes may need new pads.
What to Listen For
You also want to keep an ear out for high-pitched, screech-like noises that can occur when you apply your brakes. If you hear this sound for the first time, there is no need to panic. Brake pads are actually designed with these indicators so that drivers can more easily identify low brake pad levels. Keep in mind that you may also hear a screech in your brakes if your vehicle has recently been exposed to excessive moisture. If that's the case, the sound should disappear after engaging your brakes a few times. However, if you hear these sounds regularly, and if you can visually determine that your brake pads are low, it's time for a replacement set of pads.
Other Signs of Imminent Brake Repair
Changes in Your Brake Pedal
If you notice that your stopping times have significantly increased, or that you need to press your brake pedal farther toward the floor than normal, you may have a problem with your braking fluid. If you see a small pool of fluid when your car is parked, this could be a brake fluid leak. After checking your brake fluid and verifying you don't have a leak, if you are still experiencing a soft brake pedal you should plan to get your car in for service quickly. This could be a sign of air or moisture in your main brake lines and this needs professional attention to prevent further damage.
Feeling Vibrations
The presence of increased vibrations in your steering wheel and your car as a whole may indicate a problem with your rotors. Rotors can become warped under extreme braking conditions, such as excessive downhill braking. If you're feeling more vibrations than normal as your vehicle decelerates, it's time to service your brakes.
With these simple tips in mind, you'll know when it's time to service your brakes! Visit us at Dan Tobin Chevrolet today and let the professionals help you find and maintain the perfect vehicle for you.
