Majd Al-Habeel @youseffamily has known little of life without suffering. After losing his home to IOF bombardment, he and his parents were forced to live in a tent. This wreaked havoc on Majd’s health, as he is diagnosed with a serious respiratory illness that limits his ability to breathe. Living in a tent leaves one exposed to dust, dirt, debris, vermin, mold, fungus, and harsh weather—the worst possible environment for a child with his condition.

His family requires mutual aid to provide for Majd’s life-saving care, as well as to procure food, water, medications, other supplies, and clothing and gear for winter. They are a little over two-thirds of the way to their current listed goal, with still a long way to go. Please help this family out and give sweet Majd a better chance at life.

A Teenager Fighting for Survival, Not Just for His Exams

My name is Yousef. I’m 17 years old and from the northern region of Gaza, one of the most dangerous places right now, where hunger, danger, and disease are everywhere. I should be focused on preparing for my high school exams, but instead, I’m fighting to keep my family alive.

My father is elderly and no longer able to work. My mother, a strong woman, does everything she can, from lighting fires to cook to washing clothes by hand, tasks that are physically exhausting and costly because we have to buy wood just to cook our meals. My two siblings help wherever they can, scavenging for anything that can feed us, just to make it through another day.

But for me, it’s overwhelming. I used to be a dedicated student, always achieving “Very Good” grades. Now, I barely have time to study because I’m constantly trying to help my family survive. I’m torn between my dream of completing my education and my duty to keep my family alive.

We’re not asking for much, just enough to eat, enough to survive, and maybe, just maybe, enough for me to focus on my studies again.

We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but we live in constant fear that the war will end our lives before it ends itself. We pray from the depths of our hearts for peace to return, and for this nightmare to end before it consumes everything.

I am Falestine, Jad Al-Haq, I am 37 years old, married, and I have a eight-month-old child named Youssef. I gave birth to him during the war during very harsh conditions that no human being can bear. I moved from the hospital immediately after giving birth to the tent in which we were staying after we were displaced to it after the Israeli bulldozers completely bulldozed my house. and my suffering did not start from here. Rather, it began since the beginning of the war, and I am still suffering. I cannot provide enough milk for my baby or diapers. Even medicines and vitamins are not available.

I ask you for your urgent help in disseminating the link to my family and communicating it to people interested and able to help us.  I didn't want to do it, but the tragic situation we are living in is what pushed me to do it.  I feel sad and helpless, after we had everything, we are now homeless on the streets, living in a tent next to a dilapidated public toilet and there is sewage, dirt and waste everywhere, we sleep on it!  We suffer from terrible heat, insects, scorpions, the danger of death, bombs and missiles, in addition to hunger of course, the danger of pollution and terrible diseases, especially the digestive, respiratory and reproductive systems!

.  My father and mother could not bear it any longer. My father had a stroke after losing his home and his place of work, and my mother suffers from chronic diseases and needs treatment.

  Do you have the right to imagine that when you spend your life building for yourself and your children to live a decent life, all of this disappears in the blink of an eye, and now when you reach the age where you should rest, you are forced to start again!!?  But the most important thing now is to try to survive and protect your children from all the factors of death that surround us!  I ask everyone who has humanity or conscience to feel our situation and put themselves in our place.  How can someone who has lived with dignity all his life accept this?  We are slowly dying every day.

Major update on Nour’s condition

First, I want to thank you all so much for your incredible generosity. Because of you, we were able to raise $4,000 USD in just 2 full days. I cannot put into words how remarkable this is. When we received word of the refund, that we lost more than $3000, Nour’s family and I were completely without hope. But you all accomplished the impossible.

It is only because of what you accomplished that I now believe we can meet our next goal.

Nour was able to undergo surgery. It was long and extremely difficult for the doctors. The surgery was ultimately successful. However, Nour’s condition is not resolved. The immediate danger has been met, but now Nour requires a new medication and diet to survive.

This medication will cost $2000 USD every week. Her new diet requires she consume 2 eggs a day, so 14 every week. As of right now, the average cost of eggs in Gaza is $8 USD. 2000 + (14 x 8) = $2,112 USD a week
