surgery needed for 7 year old boy in gaza

i'm making this post on behalf of @its2shimaa. in short, she's been taking care of her sister's 7-year-old son who was orphaned during the war.

shimaa's nephew was diagnosed with cholecystitis and needs surgery to have the gallstones removed from his digestive system.

for this surgery, shimaa only needs to raise $400.

in shimaa's own words:

My friends on Tumblr yesterday I posted that my brother needs surgery for the stones in his intestines and until this moment I have not been able to obtain the costs of the surgery, knowing that the surgery will be performed by a private doctor because there are no hospitals in Gaza. The occupation has destroyed it. The surgery is expensive and every day my brother goes away, he suffers more. I swear to you that there is no type of painkiller in the Gaza Strip that relieves the pain of a patient. Please, please, look at the medical report and test your humanity for the sake of my brother. Donate to him so that he can undergo the surgery. Donate and as soon as he undergoes the surgery, I will guarantee everything for credibility. I implore you all not to marginalize my brother. My name is Mohamed Nasr, and I live in Gaza with my small family. I worked as an aluminum technician, striving hard to provide a decent life for my wife, Yasmin Al-Jamal, my daughter Elyne, and my son Nasr. We had a small but comfortable home, and our work was our source of income. But everything changed suddenly when the war broke out. Our peaceful life was shattered. Our home, my family’s house, and my workplace were all destroyed. In a few moments, we lost everything we had built through our hard work and sweat.

We were displaced and moved to a small tent in the south, far from everything we once cherished. I was injured while trying to check on my family and couldn't get the necessary treatment. My wife, Yasmin, who suffers from cancer, needs urgent and effective treatment, but we have no resources to meet this pressing need.

As we try to adapt to our new situation, we are in desperate need of urgent support. Our children, who have lost everything they knew, are now trying to meet our basic needs such as food, water, and medicine. Despite my pain and loss, I am doing my best to provide for my family, but the situation becomes more complicated each day.

A distress call from a family trapped in Gaza to stay alive

In this difficult time. The past 11 months of displacement and famine have exacerbated our suffering and unbelievable difficulties. The difficult living conditions of the displaced in the Gaza Strip worsen during the winter with the rains and the drop in temperatures, amid a severe shortage of food and clean, potable water.

My family lives in conditions we never imagined in our entire lives. We have been displaced since the occupation began its continuous bombing campaign on our area in Khan Younis and its extensive ground operations.

We came to the Mawasi neighborhood and took shelter in a small, flimsy tent that we had built using expensive nylon and some wooden planks, it's not even a proper tent

We now need to provide tarps for this tent to protect us from the rain in winter, which threatens our lives.

My name is Tahseen Alkhazendar from Gaza City - Tal-Alhawa Area . As you are reading my message, my wife, 3 little children, and I are sitting in the north of Gaza City, starving with no food, water, or money. Every morning, my wife and I feel heart broken and disabled, when our children wake up asking us for food which we don't have and unable to provide to them at this time in Gaza.

Before October 7th, I was a successful business man who owned a driving school and graduated from the business management school. I worked hard to secure a decent and happy life to my family, and did my best to raise my children with dignity, pride, and respect. However, once the aggression started on Gaza, we were forced to evacuate our house and left everything behind. I struggle every single day to secure 1 single meal for my children. Specially my older son, Ibrahim, who suffers from the Celiac disease and needs a special food which I am unable to find in Gaza at this current time.

Unfortunately everything I owned is completely lost after my house and business got bombed and destroyed. We are currently suffering slow death in Gaza, sharing a small apartment with other families and living a devastating life.
