A pre-web technology that has been replaced is that of disposable cameras and film cameras. Overall, the process of developing film was very popular and convenient to capture moments as they happened. This pre-web technology brought aesthetic visuals of grainy scenery with a vintage vibe that made a comeback in recent years in the form of some of my favorite apps like Fuji cam, Kuji cam, VSCO, and even major brands like Canon and Kodak have taken advantage of this trend by creating an app that makes it possible to re-create the film experience right into your smartphone. People of all ages have begun to replace this pre-web technology with these apps as it makes it much easier than going through the time consuming process of developing film when newer generations aren’t aware of the proper procedure.
