Tempos presents "In Close Proximity," Through acrobatics, aerial arts, dance and theater, Tempos will explore both the connections and boundaries that we have with ourselves, each other and the spaces we move through. Developed in collaboration with musicians Zak Boden and Sean Daly. In this show the traditional relationship between dancers and musicians is flipped on its head: the musicians follow the dancers one moment, and then it's back to dancers keeping time with the music.

Portland's dance maven and renowned choreographer Jayanthi Raman brings an illustrious team of international dancers and musicians to the Newmark Theatre for an evening of musical dance theatre. With an international cast of 14 professional dancers from Delhi, Chennai and the U.S., the performance features Indian dance forms Bharatha Natyam and the martial arts-based dance form Chhau, as well as local Modern dancers in an elegant contemporary dance production.
