Another PLA/Inuyasha AU but…

So, @spacefinch has done a Pokémon LA/Inuyasha AU , but what if I asked… what if there was a third person dragged into a space time distortion along with Akari and Ingo…. (Don’t worry, thanks to wibbly wobbly timey wimey, they became their own ancestors so Emmit isn’t depressed)

Date: 4 years before the start of the Pokémon version of Magic School Bus.

Scenario: a little girl was sucked into a space time distortion. None of her friends realized that she was gone due to aforementioned wibbly wobbly timey wimey. But she was sent into a Hisui 9 years before the Galaxy Expedition Team came to survey the region. She was almost killed by the wild Paras before she was rescued by a mother Ursaluna. The Ursaluna decided to raise the girl, though the Diamond clan indirectly helped raise the girl by giving her clothes… she just preferred wearing Ursaring skins.

8 years after Ursaluna adopted her, the girl stole the Kumatsuki, a sword sacred to the Diamond Clan, that is not only powerful, but came with a curse of turning the wielder of the sword into an Ursaluna on the night of a full moon.

On the day Akari appeared in Hisui, she ventured to the Crimson Mirelands, along with a group that felt like a DND party. At the same time, Ms. Frizzle’s class were on a field trip back in time to see extinct Hisuian forms. Of course Inuyasha has sniffed that a nearby Ursaluna was coming. And then…

The present day Wanda meets her time-displaced self.

Wild Kratts/Pokemon AU ideas

So, what would a WK/Pokemon crossover be like? I’m going to answer that question!

- Obviously the Wild Kratts Team would be Pokémon Rangers and helping out wild Pokémon. They also don’t get involved with the big “evil team” plots.

-All of the Wild Kratts Team members are from Unova (which not only is based in New York City, but also parts of New Jersey as a reference to the Kratt Brothers’ homestate), but Aviva is part Paldean.

-The Pokemon Ranger Organization is responsable for providing the team with their tech such as the Tirtouga HQ, though Aviva is still an excellent inventor, so she invents stuff like the Buzz Bikes and Amphisub.

-At first when the team where starting out, they used the capture stylus to help (along with the Kratt Bros’ Pokémon as they competed in Unova’s gym challenge), but then Aviva decided that it would be better if the Kratt Bros used the adaptions of the wild Pokémon to help them with their missions. And thus, the Pokémon Power Suits are born. (More of them later)

-Obviously Martin is a Water Type specialist and Chris is a Grass Type specialist.

And now, time for the villains:

-Zach, Donita, Gourmand and pre-redemption Parsley are very much similar to their canon selves, though they target Pokémon instead of animals. They also see any type of Pokémon, wild or trained, to be tools for their plans, so often they steal Trainers’ Pokémon.

-The villains are funded by Ghetsis, as he sees them as a good way to use the released trained Pokémon and to prevent any Trainer uprising. This means that N hates the Wild Kratt Villains.

-The Team Rocket Trio also hate the villains ever since Meowth was used in one of Zach’s plans, so they’re willing to help out the Wild Kratts Team in any mission. The Gym Leaders, Elite Four, SubMas Twins, and the Champions are also willing to help out the Wild Kratts team if their Pokémon are stolen by the villains.

And now… the big one… the Pokémon Power Suits!!!

-The suits function very similarly to the canon Creature Power Suits, though they transform the user into the final evolved form of that Pokémon. Any Pokémon that has branched evolution like Eevee, a separate disk has to be made for each branched evolution.

-The first PPS disk programmed was the Swellow disc, based on the bros’ Swellow.

- Thankfully, Fossil Pokémon are revived, so PPSs of them are possibly. Also inanimate object Pokémon also get their own PPSs.

-The regional forms get their own PPSs similar to the Arctic Wolf Disc being separate from the Gray Wolf Disc. Any Hisuian Form or Hisuian Evolutions also get separate discs, though those Pokémon are extremely rare.

As for the teams… @spacefinch did really good ones. Also the Wild Kratts Kids are in the AU as Trainers, and the Pokémon Protags are considered Wild Kratts Kids. Also if you’re asking if the “Wild Field Trips” AU can be done in the Pokémon World… Of course it can!

Pokémon and WK fan here! I think it really sucks that there’s a lack of crossover material with these shows similar to Magic School Bus and Wild Kratt lack of crossover material. Though with the MSB/WK stuff, it’s easier to conceptualize it since well… both shows are edutainment shows that teach science… and we know Ms. Frizzle would know the Wild Kratts team and the Kratt brothers being older brother figures to the MSB kids. But with WK/Pokémon… Pokémon is a monster collecting RPG where the focus is beating the champion and stopping the latest evil team from destroy the world while Wild Kratts is about a group of scientists learning more of the diversity and adaptations of animals while protecting them from villains who what to extort those animals for their greedy plans… while using the Creature Power Suits to do that and making sure that animals are living free and in the wild… something that contradict the Pokémon formula because canonically, Wild Pokémon want to be with Trainers if said trainer is willing to prove themselves to that Pokémon.

My solution to this: have the WK villains not only go after wild Pokémon, but also trainers’ Pokémon (including Gym Leader, Champion, Frontier Brain, and even the Team Rocket Trio’s Pokémon), showing they don’t care if the Pokémon is trained or not, they will use them for their plans, and such the Wild Kratts team in the Pokémon world will help trainers get their Pokémon back from the villains. Show that the villains only treat Pokémon as means to their ends instead of their friends and animals.

Also… the Dex entries of Pokémon can be used to reveal some Creature Powers of a Pokémon species and… come on, CPSs based on Pokémon would be really awesome and I wish more people can do fanart of them!

So, there is a way for Pokémon/Wild Kratts crossovers to happen, you just go the creative about them.

Not to be a jerk, but am I the only one who finds the lack of Wild Kratts x Pokemon crossover fics weird? I can't find any on AO3 that don't include other fandoms, and these two are the only ones I can find on FFN. You'd think a plot where the Wild Kratts are sent to a world with supernatural creatures would have great fic potential, but evidently that potential hasn't been tapped into all that much. I'd write one myself, and I'd like to one day, but I'm working on a bunch of other fics right now.

So... writers, please help a guy out?

Edit: Also, the reverse plot where a Pokemon Trainer is sent to Earth and comes across the Wild Kratts has equally good potential.

Well… I’m having this with Wild Kratts.

love how when i get a new interest, i’m like “oh god it’s happening again” and i’m stuck like that for about a week until everything explodes and any interest i’ve had prior is completely dwarfed for an unknown amount of time

Yeah… the only reason the villains were able to team up together was because their common distain of the Kratt Bros, and the likelihood Zach proved Donita and Gourmand with their tech. As soon as Paisley Paver’s redemption happened, it affected the villains heavily. Donita and Gourmand can no longer trust working with Zach because to them, he lost a great ally, and now they’re willing to all types of torture to him, and Zach considering replacing his Zachbots with chimpanzees shows that he doesn’t want to repeat the same mistake again. Paisley’s redemption affected Zach so much that there might be a point where he will lose it. 200th episode is coming and I get the feeling that Zach is going to come up with a very big plan.

After rewatching most of the series, i have come to a very heartbreaking fact about zach. In all of the episodes where he teams up with the other villains, they seem to get along relatively well with each other, but zach to them is like a huge nuisance. 

LIKE,,,donita and gourmand get along well enoug but just because he cant think of an idea they are like “…”

But what really sells this for me is that

HE WILL CONTINUE TO ASK THEM TO JOIN HIM FOR STUFF.

I genuinely think he is incredibly lonely and really just wants attention and friends, thats why he is the way he is. This is the same dude that talks to his zach bots for fun and will lay out his evil plans to them. Why? BECAUSE HE WANTS SOMEONE TO LISTEN TO HIMMM

Finch Rambles: Pokemon/Inuyasha Crossover

Yes, the time-traveling through a spooky well still exists. However, in this AU, the spooky well is near the Lost Tower in Sinnoh.

Kagome lives in Hearthome City (which was but a small village a few hundred years ago). Her starter Pokemon is Staravia.

Like Pokemon Legends: Arceus, this AU does take place in Hisui (or at least the parts in the past do). However, there isn't a whole lot of overlap with the PL:A storyline.

Notes on Looker's appearance in this AU:

He probably fell into Hisui from a time rift or Ultra Wormhole.

He doesn't have a whole lot of his memories, but he does remember bits and pieces of his life in the modern world.

Has two Pokemon: his iconic Croagunk and a Hisuian Sneasel. That's it.

Besides Inuyasha and Kagome, he's the only person who can freely travel through the Spooky Well.
