Facebook Messenger now enables high-resolution photos
Tumblr media
Facebook Messenger has announced that it has taken the resolution of the photos sent to recipients. If you did not know, messaging applications such as Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and Wattsapp apply a kind of quality compression before photos reach the person to whom they are sent.
Here are some comparisons that show the difference
The Facebook Messenger resolution has been "2K" for a while - or 2048 x 2048 pixels. A new update will allow you to send files up to 4096 x 4096 pixels. Many phones these days use 12MP cameras, the largest of which is between 4000 and 4048 pixels. So if you send files from an iPhone X, Pixel 2, or Samsung Galaxy S8 or Note8, your receiver should get them in full quality. Facebook also mentioned that photos will be sent "as soon as before", so there should be a new kind of file size reduction.
The feature with the highest resolution images (Facebook calls "4K images") are now circulating on iPhone and Android for users in the US, Canada, France, Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea . Facebook will continue to release 4K images in other countries "in the coming weeks".

Elon Musk creates the world's largest battery
Tumblr media
Lithium-ion batteries empower your phone, laptop, and your camera. But the news is now that Elon Musk will supply South Australia with energy.
Tesla CEO revealed on Thursday that his company has just fulfilled its promise to build and install the world's largest lithium battery within 100 days.
In a Twitter bidding, Musk said that if his company failed to meet the deadline to build the Powerpack system, he would undergo an approximate $ 50 million bill and the South Australian government could had it free of charge. Tesla crossed the line for about a week to save.
Designed to maintain renewable energy, Tesla's battery has a capacity of 100 megawatts. After thorough testing, the system will be paired with the Hornsdale wind farm 120 miles north of Adelaide, operated by the French renewable energy provider Neoen. Mega-battery will maintain excessive energy generated by wind turbines and be used as and when required.

Mobile phones: iPhone X vs Samsung Galaxy X. What are the latest rumors?
Tumblr media
Samsung is not the only company that is designing for mobile phones. It looks like Apple is making its iPhone palerable as well.
A report a few weeks ago said that Apple is working on a revolutionary iPhone design that is so secret that it had to join LG instead of Samsung to develop its screen. Why? Because Apple fears Samsung will steal the design.
The report says this mysterious iPhone will debut in 2020 sooner and will offer users an OLED touch screen in a new design. The iPhone X also has a palette but is folded down and can not be seen when using the phone - this is the deception that makes framing the screen impossible, as Apple can hide screen controllers in the part bottom of the panel.
Turning to the report, it also says that this new iPhone can be palpable.
Before the Thanksgiving Day, you can read the new patent application describing a flexible display device. Apple filed a patent on September 22, 2016, which means it is a relatively new invention.

Google Photos featuring new features for the benefit of the users
Tumblr media
The latest Google Photos app update brings 'performance improvements'. This, however, adds a special feature - Photos will now hide the videos you see in order to reproduce them later without using your database traffic.
Since these videos need to be stored somewhere, they will use your phone's storage, but storage is free and data traffic is not. Also, cleaning your 'cache' is not a lot of hard work if you need to free up space.

Apple increases the megabyte limit on the size of apps that can be downloaded from the App Store
Tumblr media
With today's official launch of iOS 11, Apple has also announced in their Developer Blog that it is increasing the size limit of apps that can be downloaded from the App Store over a mobile connection.
The limit is now 150MB, increasing from 100MB that was before iOS 11 officially came.
Consumers should be able to decide which applications to download and if they want to download a 400MB game using their mobile provider they should be able to do so freely. Apple does not seem to agree.
Though, it is more likely to be a matter of responsibility where Apple does not want to be held accountable to users who are sneakyly downloading large apps to a data network, only to find additional data data in the bill them.

iOS 11 with multiple problems
Tumblr media
iOS 11 is packed with features (including very secretive) but after some error reports, the Upgrade Guide advised iPhone users in particular that they should not keep upgrading. It now seems a wise move because iOS 11 is causing a problem.
A new report from the Wandera mobile security firm exposes the issue: iOS 11 a battery killer.
Through common battery life complaints, iPhone and iPad users often post online after iOS update, while Wandera has revealed concrete evidence of serious degradation. This was done by monitoring a "sub-category of 50,000 moderate and heavy users of the iPhone and iPad" in its networks running on iOS 11 and iOS 10.
The result: The battery life of the iOS 11 update is going twice as fast as the ones that have iOS 10.
By breaking down this, Wandera reports that the iOS 10 iphone can be used for 240 minutes on average before the battery dies. Meanwhile, the iPhone that works with iOS 11 lasts only 96 minutes on average - a massive drop of 60%.

Snowden: Through an SMS, the government gains access to photos, messages, and everything on your mobile
Tumblr media
Edward Snowden is known as a man who brings in public information that "is not supposed to be known".
He never hesitates to impress us with different facts, and has recently shown some information that will encourage you to think twice about your safety, Telegrafi says.
Snowden has been living in Russia for many years now and can not return to the US because he is waiting for him in prison since in 2013 he discovered secret ball information as the National Security Agency (NSA) conducted various monitoring activities.
For years he has shown how agencies and governments around the world use a secret method to access wise individuals phones. This, according to him, can only be done through a message.
Snowden has told the BBC that smartphone owners can not do anything to prevent it. Even when your cell phone is stopped, they can ignite it; your conversations may be intercepted; your photos are not secure, etc.
The technology that enables this is known as 'Smurf', and there are different types of this method.
- "Dreamy Smurf" can make your handset light up and stop without knowing you at all.
- "Nosey Smurf" can hear everything around you.
- "Smurf Tracker" can know exactly where you are without any difficulty.
It is worth noting that these are not the only tapping technology, but only three of the main ones Snowden has mentioned, the Telegraph reports.
The 34-year-old has also mentioned a tool known as "Paranoid Smurf" ("Smurfs" in Paranoia), which shows it serves as a method to protect the manipulation that agencies make to you.
For example, if you want to send the phone to the service because you have noticed that something strange is happening lately, any cell phone expert will find it difficult to understand what is actually going on.
As the agencies have gained access to your cell phone, Snowden says they can see who you are calling, whom you exchanged messages, what you searched online, the places where you were, the 'Wi-Fi' networks in which you were connected, etc.
Among other things, they can also photograph you through your cell phone.
So all these data can only be received by an agency through an SMS that is sent to you, but you do not see it.
Regardless of the phone you paid for yourself, Snowden says someone else checks the phone software!

Tumblr media
A new feature of Google Search has been observed recently. For those to whom it appears, the feature should know that the same allows you to compare the specifications of the two devices, displaying a comparison chart.
As you can see clearly from the above footage, you need to put a question like "Pixel 2 vs Pixel 2XL" and Google will feature a quick comparison chart.
You can expand the table by pressing the blue button and there is also an opportunity to highlight the differences.
The California based company, Mountain View, has to officially launch this feature (which is said to only work for two devices at this time), so more details are expected.

Galaxy X will bring revolution to the world of smart phones
Tumblr media
Samsung has had a pretty good year, where in 2017 has brought some of the smartest smartphones right now.
Both Galaxies - the Galaxy S8 and the Note 8 - have stunning designs, advanced technology cameras, 'Edge' features, and these features keep these two phones away from competition, the Telegraph reports.
But it looks like there will soon be a new device that will shade both of these devices.
Named to be called 'Galaxy X', Samsung is expected to bring the best handset in the world.
Some sketches discovered by 'LetsGoDigital' show that the Galaxy X can be folded in half, making it small enough to keep it in the pocket, but it can be unraveled again to enjoy the giant screen size.
The design of this cell phone is quite similar to the old mobiles, when the revolution of smartphones had begun.
Galaxy X's internal features have not been detected yet, so it remains unclear how fast it will be.
Regarding the launch date, some reports have suggested that Galaxy S may come next year, but 2019 is more convincing.
However, despite the fact that Galaxy X will not come in the coming months, Samsung fans will be able to enjoy the Galaxy S9 in the first months of 2018.
The Galaxy S9 is expected to be presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, while expecting to have a new dual-lens processor, and the Fingerprint scanner is expected to return to the front of the screen.
