If you want to know how much a company cares for its customers (hindi lang dahil nagbabayad ka), look at non-income earning facilities in their stores like restrooms, trashbins, how they handle customer complaints and after-sales service.

Everyone's sick. Surge of flu-like symptoms everywhere.
Hybrid pa more. Sakit pa more. Kaka-sipsip niyo yan.
If we just limit the number of onsite workers to essentials ones, we wouldn't have this problem...and you know that very well. It's just that you'd rather be sick as long as your reputation and sipsip points are up.

There's no such thing as logical. There's only what matters to you.
-Chris Voss, seasoned hostage negotiator, author of Never Split the Difference
It's so true. People like to think that we make rational decisions, choices and conclusions based on principles and logic. But really we're simply trying to further our own agendas and find *logical* reasons to support what we want to happen.

Feb 2023
Unsolicited advise about LZ Sobe/rano's lack of creative freedom under her previous management:
Seems to me like a very small price to pay for all the $$ she earned.
There's this book I read called Everything is F*cked by Mark Manson where he says that there will always be problems..it's just that they're somewhat "better" problems. Humanity used to grapple with war, famine, survival. Now that we have freedom, new, upgraded problems emerge such as face mask "oppression". We will never be satisfied because there will always be problems. There will always be hope for something. It could at least help to be grateful that we don't have survival problems anymore, at least in developed countries.
But then again, I think this is why the poverty thinking in the country is still up and always fresh - because people like LZ get bashed for not appreciating her earnings - something that the country's citizens would be extremely grateful for and would go through great lengths and anything it takes to get that kind of fortune.

So it's now Feb 1, 2023 and everyone is now acting like we're back to normal. No Covid and all.
Tbh, the vaccine really did decrease incidences of death among the infected which is good.
But okay, let's just forget the small minority who are immunocompromised, have auto-immune diseases who are still super vulnerable from the disease and cannot get vaccinated.
I love how people pretend to love and respect minorities (in terms of race, religion, etc) but forget about the minorities who are vulnerable to covid who can't get themselves protected.
What an inconsistent population we have.

This world does not appeal to morals and principles. They just like to believe and appear they do.
This world appeals to connections, privileges and relationships.

Funny.
See how businesses and government work, guys.
Business: *increases prices due to decreased demand and price increase of raw materials in the global market*
DOLE: *does not increase minimum wage rates due to clamor of businesses not to increase wages, kung kailan nagtataas ng presyo ang mga pang-araw araw na bilihin, minimum wage rates are stagnant. You can buy less goods now due to inflation with the same sweldo*
Isipin niyo, kanino ba talaga kampi gobyerno niyo? Lalo't alam niyo namang panahon ito ng tanggalan nang trabaho and more work hours for those who are left employed to take on the jobs of those who got laid off.

Just when January Covid cases are declining, comes a new variant, Omicron's cousin.
You people never learn.

28k cases. New record-high since the start of the pandemic 2020.
Alert Level 3 parin? Last year ECQ ah.

But you have to realize that she already has a lot of supporters to begin with.
Oh well, when was life fair anyway?
Congrats, girl!
Magpakatotoo. Ang pagpapakatotoo ay pagpapakatotoo sa sarili mo, sa kapwa mo, WHICH INCLUDES YOUR FLAWS.

The way LGUs handle this Vax drive (and how they make it hard/easy for people to take advantage of this Vax) really tells you a lot about their mayor's leadership skills.

It's January 2022, right after Christmas, New Year festivities
DID YOU SERIOUSLY NOT EXPECT COVID CASES TO RISE?!
Sige fine, make your employees go back to work on-site kahit na kayang kaya naman i-wfh. Let's see how stupid you are.

Sige, ipilit niyo pa yang "new normal" na yan. We will never reach the end of this of stupid fucking pandemic kung di niyo matiis na hindi maglakwatsa.
Clearly, you don't understand "delayed gratification"
Please naman, realize that your small act of staying indoors will mean leaps and bounds of progress in ending this crisis.
Just let the frontliners do their jobs and be the only group of people who work outside.
ENTER CORPORATE OFFICES WHO FORCE THEIR EMPLOYEES TO REPORT TO WORK ON SITE when clearly, kaya naman gawing wfh ang trabaho WOW.
To think corporate offices are supposed to be the elite, privileged ones who have more facilities and resources to facilitate wfh are the same people who stupidly decide to make their employees go to work.
Congestion -> contagion -> more covid cases.
So, how should we summarize 2021?
Money > health
If you're a decision maker who sits in power deciding these things, don't you ever have the fucking guts to complain if you or your relatives contract/die of covid. Remember, while vaccines are highly effective, there's a 0.000001% chance they're not. And you might be that 0.000001% of people who don't survive. That, you'll never know. So fucking pray. Money can't buy you everything.

Go ahead, keep believing the lie that things are "back to normal"
Karma is a bitch. Let's hope you or any of your loved ones don't die of COVID.
Remember, while vaccines are effective, they're not fool-proof.
