Cyclops' dream wedding

Scott Summers is taking a break from the X-Men and working through his grief on a Floridian fishing boat. All of a sudden Jean appears in her underwear and wants to make out. Cool cool. Next thing they're in a church getting married and both their clothes change. He looks like an idiot and Jean cycles through her various eras or identities. She asks which he loves best.

He obviously says 'all of them' to a GIANT Jean and they continue. Scott doubts what's happening but talks himself into it. He's absolutely right that his not wife can and will resurrect herself. So many times.

The priest is fucking Chuck, lol. I'm surprised he's not her father 'giving her away' too. Logan, Piotr and Kitty are in the front row but the rest of the attendees are faceless. Havok and Storm stand next to the happy couple looking awkward. He should have known it was an illusion based on Havok being the best anything. The wedding goes off without a hitch and they're pronounced woman and husband.

In a callback to the time they had butte sex, Jean lifts his visor to look at his eyes and presumably kiss him. SHE EXPLODES INTO BLOODY PULP WHAT THE FUCK. 'The bloody pulp that had once been Jean.' Not even a corpse, just salsa. How awful.

This whole production is the work of a loser called D'Spayre. They can give people illusions but can be defeated if you just ... don't believe them. Scott knows Jean is much too powerful for that to happen and snaps out of it. Lee Forrester's dad carks it though, unfortunately for him. Scott Summers must be a big hit in the demon world - they seriously follow him everywhere.
