sorry for being gone for so long omg! I hadn't even realized it had been almost a year! work has been so busy for me the past year and I've just had a lot going on. I haven't even done any personal art! I had eye surgery earlier this summer too and have been dealing with a bit more photo-sensitivity than I expected...

anyway, that's to say I can't promise too much but I do want to try to get back into doing some art again! I want to get back into Eir's blog as well, I've left her unconscious for over a year, oops!

neven... i don't understand you at all. you are nothing like i was taught to believe about your kind, and yet there is something familiar about you. perhaps something even... dear, to me. you are not by my side by choice, i know, but ever since you were assigned to me, i feel something has changed. maybe i am defective. what is it that makes you special? maybe someday i'll have the courage to chase that feeling, or to say this while you are awake.

“It’s nice to meet you, Hestau!” Ruru smiles. “I don’t have any money on me, but I hope you’re able to collect a lot of coins!”

"Oh wow!" Ruru exclaims. "You have so many cool things!" The azurill's eyes sparkle in delight. "I'm Ruru, what's your name?"

"Thats a nice name, hello, hello Ruru! Is there anyth-"

It interrupts itself before it can start trying to make a pitch for Ruru to buy something, the question they asked sinking in.

"Wait, have I not introduced myself yet? Oh no, no, how could I forget something so simple?"

The Gimmighoul lightly hits its hand against its forehead several times as it talks, like it was attempting to discipline its own brain.

"I'm Hestau! Nice to meet you!"

It's an egg hidden amongst a flower bed, housing a Flabebe with an unusual taste in flowers. The snapping jaws of their chosen flower will do just as good at protecting them once they hatch as the egg that shields them now.
