A kiss in an alley OR What if we kissed beneath the overly romanticized portrait of myself? The more I read about TE, the more I become interested in his life after the war. I dearly love The Mint and all the little bits of information about him and his tank corps/air force friends. Inspirations: That one photo of him, another photo of him, the painting of Augustus John and a little bit Leyendecker.

So I was fortunate enough to be places again - this time Felixstowe. Once upon a time AC Shaw spent all of two weeks there while working on the boats.
The RAF hangars are all gone - the branch closed in the 60's, and the massive modern-day port is in its place now (look for the cranes and the mosaic of the shipping containers to get a rough idea), but there's a small museum in a ravelin of the nearby Landguard Fort. If one takes the ferry from Harwich, they can experience more or less the same seascape and views as the boat crews did way back when. I've also been told that long time ago, before it closed off, you could see the RAF radars from the ferry.
Felixstowe is also the last known whereabouts of The Biscuit. As you can imagine, I didn't find it during the couple hours I spent there - but I tried! Also beware of seagulls.
And then there's this twat.

These are a series of Screen Prints made for a project based on Lawrence of Arabia. There is one print missing of which i absent mindedly sold the Artists Proof as well as the only other original! Ah well. You live and learn.
