I’ve been re-writing the same two scenes for three days now and could really use a distraction and this seems fun. Feel free to suggest any ship I’ve written about before in an ask and I’ll do a few of them!
300 words or less
Mission: Either pick a starter (or 2 or 3 or 1500) or have people ask you to write a small thing in 300 words or less in response.  You (or your followers) can pick whether you make it angsty or fluffy or smutty or whatever and who you’re writing about. Feel free to add starters!
Starters: “I can’t sleep without you here
” “I’m fine.” “It’s fine.” “I’m not okay.” “I’m okay.” “I’m leaving
and I’m not coming back.” “I never meant to hurt you.” “I never meant for it to go this far.” “This wasn’t supposed to happen.” “I’m never going to leave you.” “Shh, you’re safe now.” “I can’t remember the last time I was happy.” “I can’t remember the last time I was this happy.” “Great, how are we supposed to get home now?” “I hope you like scary movies!” “You’re not gonna cry, are you?” “I got the call last night
” “Wow, I guess you really are that ticklish.” “I tried to surprise you, but I spilled your coffee on the way over
” “Do you wanna get out of here?” “Did you hear something?” “Shh, I think I hear something.” “You smell really nice.” “I wish you would talk to me.” “I need you to talk to me.” “Can you hear me?” “Please don’t do this
” “You won’t miss me.” “I wish I never met you.” “I wish I met you sooner.” “You wanna go back to my place?” “You should think about what you’ve done.”

Guardian Chapter 21
Hey all, Happy Late Christmas! Finally, a new chapter of Guardian! If has been way to long and if you would like the update as to why check the end of the chapter but TL;DR, I’ve been super depressed and I’m finally feeling better! Hope this 10k chapter helps make up for it a little. The next chapter is like, half way written right now so expect it pretty soon (I hope) and for now, hope you enjoy this one!
Hiccup awoke the next morning and went straight to the bathroom to shower and clean away the remains of last night’s activities. The warm water felt incredibly good and Hiccup found himself zoning out and nearly falling back asleep several times. It helped that his arm no longer stung when it got wet. In fact, the cuts seemed to be healing very well, all of them closed up now with fresh tender looking skin.
Finishing his shower Hiccup dried himself off and re-wrapped his arm, something that had quickly become such a part of his daily routine that he barely noticed it. The combination of the attention from Jack and Astrid, and even his father, and the shift it had caused in his outlook combined with the ease of caring for his injured arm made it so he could almost forget about the event a month ago that had caused it all. Looking back Hiccup saw the stark contrast between himself then and now. Were it not for the nightmares that still invaded his dreams and woke him crying he would have said they were two completely different people.
By the time Hiccup was clean and dressed the aroma of cooking bacon and pancakes was wafting through the house from the kitchen. Grabbing his phone as he made his way to the kitchen for breakfast Hiccup saw a text from Jack.
Jack: Goodmorning sexy ;P You know you never answered about being busy today or not.
Hiccup: Goodmorning to you too. I think me and my dad are going to do that model today, and then I’ve got to work on my homework.
Jack: :( fine, be ‘responsible’
Hiccup: I will, you should try it sometime
Jack: I did, didn’t think much of it
Hiccup chuckled as he sat down at the kitchen table.
“Mooooooorning dad.” Hiccup yawned.
“Goodmorning son.” Stoick seemed to be in a very good mood as he placed a large plate of pancakes, bacon, and hasbrowns in front of Hiccup. An similar but larger plate joined it across the table a moment later and Stoick took his seat. “Sooo
” Stoick fiddled with his cup of coffee as he clearly tried to work up to saying something. Hiccup suddenly felt nervous as he poked at his eggs, not looking at his father. “How are things?”
“Things are
fine?” Hiccup glanced quizzically at his father as he looked up to take a drink from his orange juice.
“Has school been alright? Caught up on all of you classes?”
“Oh. Yeah school is fine and I’m all caught up with the work I missed.”
“Good. Good.” Breakfast continued in silence for several minutes more until Stoick finally broke it. “I got a call from the doctor’s. They’d like you to come in on Tuesday to, uh, check on your arm, probably take the stitches out.”
“Oh!” A relived grin spread across Hiccup’s face at his father’s words. Apparently taking his smile for excitement at the idea of having his stitches out Stoick smiled as well and was noticeably less tense as he spoke again.
“I’ve taken the afternoon off of work so we can go right after you finish school and get you a clean bill of health eh?”
“Uh, yeah, that sounds good.” Hiccup said in surprise. Stoick grinned and tucked into his food in earnest, talking about Hiccup’s experience at school since getting back and about his work and other topics of general parental concern.
“Did you still want to put together that model today?” Stoick asked as he got up from the table with his empty plate and carried it to the sink.
“Uh, sure.”
“You go get it then and I’ll clear off the table.” Hiccup smiled as he got up from the table and brought his own plate to the sink and then went to his room to retrieve the little box now thankfully devoid of its damning contents. When he returned to the kitchen he found his father drying the table with a damp towel.
Hiccup opened the box and dumped the contents on the table, separating the pieces out to get an idea of how they might fit together properly. “Alrighty, lets have a look at this.” Stoick said as he returned to the table, his hands now dry and towel free.
It turned out to be far more simple then most of the models that Hiccup purchased, clearly meant for either younger children or parents who just wanted a toy for their child and not a weekend project. Still, it took them the better part of an hour to piece together all of the little bits of plastic and secure them with super glue which Hiccup had retrieved from his room after seeing and scoffing at the atrociously cheap little tube of the stuff that had come with the model. Hiccup could have easily put it together himself, probably in a bit less time if he were being honest, but he enjoyed the activity with his dad. It had been a long time since they had done something like this, both of them laughing in victory as two particularly stubborn pieces finally came together and grinning as the dragon, which was considerably larger than Hiccup would have guessed from the box, started to take shape. When they set the final piece into place, the wing joint, and had it properly set they both leaned heavily on the table.
“Quite the sight aint he?” Stoick motioned to the dragon. Hiccup nodded in agreement. “This was nice,” Stoick continued “we haven’t done something like this since
” he let the sentence trail off and Hiccup felt his whole body go tense as he pointedly looked anywhere but his father as the silence stretched between them. “Look Hiccup,” when his father finally spoke it was hesitant but forceful “I know that I haven’t been great at talking lately. I never have been, it was always your mother who was good at that
I just want you to know that, if you ever want to talk. About her, or anything, I’m here.” Hiccup glanced up at his father and found him starting back earnestly, though clearly uncomfortable.
“Thanks dad.” Hiccup said after a long moment. His father’s speech had genuinely taken him by surprise. His father had hardly mentioned his mother at all since the day of her funeral, and had actually shouted at Hiccup the one time he’d tried to talk about her not long after. After that Hiccup had just packed away all his feeling about his mother and ignored them, not really willing to talk about them himself. It wasn’t as if he could talk to his father about what he’d really want to anyway, so he’d never seen much of a point. He’d thought about talking to Astrid but she was always practical about things and at the time he hadn’t wanted a practical response. After a while it had just been easier to ignore it all, at least until it hadn’t been.
Hiccup was spared having to figure out something else to say by the ring of their house phone which made both of the jump in surprise. “I’ll get it.” Stoick said, already moving toward the kitchen to grab the receiver.
“Hello, Haddock residence.” Stoik’s voice came from the kitchen a moment later. “Oh hello Anna. Fine, just having a little father son time actually. Oh no its alright. Oh is he really? Perhaps he can rub some of that off on Hiccup? Oh haha did you? Well whatever works sometimes hmm? Oh? I don’t see why not, let me ask him.” Stoick raised his voice a bit and looked at Hiccup who had been watching his expressions throughout the conversation. “Anna would like to invite you to spend the weekend at their home. Is that something you’d like?”
“Sure.” Hiccup said, keeping his voice controlled as he answered, despite his excitement.
“He says he’d be happy to. Alright, Hiccup can you work out the details with Jack?” Hiccup nodded his agreement. “Alright that sounds good then. We’ll have to have Jack over one weekend soon too.” Stoick said with a earnest look that Hiccup knew meant he meant it. Hiccup was both excited at the idea of having Jack over for a weekend, and terrified at the thought of Jack being around his father for such an extended period of time. He wasn’t given too long to worry though as Stoick finished up the conversation and hung up the phone.
“I don’t think I’ve ever met someone over the age of twenty with as much energy as she’s got.” Stoick said good naturedly as he returned to the table with Hiccup.
Hiccup smiled, sharing his father’s bemusement with someone as peppy and excitable as Anna North. “Jack uses passionate.” Stoick chuckled at that.
“I suppose thats an apt description. So you’ll work out the details with Jack and let me know?”
“Yeah, we’ll work it out.”
“Let me know if you need a ride. I feel rude letting them drive you around all the time.”
“I’m sure they don't mind dad.”
“Still, let me know.”
“Will do dad.”
Hiccup was right about not needing a ride from his father as it turned out. Jack made that clear when Hiccup text him later that day, after shifting over several of the models on his shelves to make room for his newest one. When Hiccup called Jack before he went to bed that night he could hear the excitement in Jack’s voice when they confirmed their plans for the weekend; Jack and Hiccup would get a ride from school to Jack’s house and Hiccup would stay there until Sunday if his dad would let him.
“Oh that reminds me!” Hiccup said when Jack asked what he was doing the rest of the week. “I’m going in to get my stitches out Tuesday. If they think they’re ready.”
“Really?” Jack’s excitement was contagious even over the phone and Hiccup was glad he was in his room with the door closed so his dad didn’t see him grinning like an idiot. “Thats great! Must be glad to put that whole thing behind you huh?”
“Mostly,” Hiccup agreed “there was some good that came out of it though.”
“Really? Like what?”
“You.”
Jack’s voice was a touch deeper when he replied “Hey now, I’m supposed to be the sappy sweet one. You’re stealing my stick.”
“I mean it Jack, I-” Hiccup clamped his mouth shut as again the words caught in his throat. At this point he was almost completely sure he felt them, so why was is so hard to just say them? “I’m really glad I met you.” He finished after a brief pause.
“I’m really glad I met you too.” Jack said. Neither of them spoke for so long that Hiccup chuckled at the ridiculousness of it, which Jack answered, and then they devolved into fits of laughter on Jack’s part and poorly stifled giggling on Hiccup’s. When they finally got control of themselves they continued discussing their week and Hiccup was dismayed to learn that between his doctor visit and previous engagements on Jack’s part they wouldn’t be able to really see on another until Friday.
Hiccup was surprised by how much that fact upset him, after all it was only going to be four days, and it wasn’t like he couldn’t just call or text Jack if he really needed to. Still, he had gotten used to having Jack around and seeing him more or less every day. “I’m going to miss you.” He said quietly, careful that his dad couldn’t overhear him.
“I’ll miss you too, but we’ll get to see each other all weekend.”
“I suppose.”
“Without your dad around.”
“Mmm, sounding better and better.”
“We can kiss as much as you want.”
“No that sounds very nice.”
“Clothings optional.”
“Alright alright, thats enough you perv.” Hiccup laughed.
“Hah, pot kettle Hiccup.”
“Yeah yeah whatever. That reminds me you should delete those if you haven’t yet.”
“Why? Its not like your dad’s going to snoop through my phone.”
“First of all, not everything is about my dad.” Hiccup snapped. “Second of all, I don’t want anybody snooping through your phone and seeing my dick.” He whispered the last words in a low hiss. “And thirdly, neither of us is eighteen so technically that was all kinds of illegal.” There was a brief pause before Jack responded.
“I suppose you’re right. Such a shame though, they were really hot.” Jack’s voice grew softer and more distant as he spoke “There, deleted forever.” He said, his voice back to its normal volume “Happy?”
“Yes I am. Thank you.” Hiccup replied tersely.
They talked for a few minutes longer then said goodnight and hung up, Hiccup regretting the tone he’d used with Jack even if he felt justified in using it. He resigned to apologize for snapping at him the next time they spoke. Much to Hiccup’s dismay that chance didn’t come around until late the following evening after slogging through a day at school and a pile of homework at home without anybody to keep him company. Jack had said that he would be practicing violin for most of the night and he tried to text back sporadically, but Hiccup quickly found that when he was practicing he was basically unreachable. Jack called that evening but their call was cut short when Stoick came in to say goodnight and Hiccup quickly hug up the phone on Jack. They said goodnight over text and Hiccup could tell Jack was not to happy about being hung up on by the brief responses he sent for the rest of the night.
Tuesday Hiccup was already feeling bad for having been rude to Jack twice without being able to properly apologize and the pop quiz they had in physics did nothing to improve his mood, even if he was pretty sure he’d aced it. He was in such a bad mood that he only remembered he was going to get his stitches out today when he arrived home to fine his father there waiting for him. The ride to the hospital was short and quiet, just like the wait in the hospital lobby. After just a few minutes of waiting Hiccup was shown into a small room while Stoick waited outside. A doctor came in and removed his bandages, asked him a few questions, and examined the pink lines that ran up and down Hiccup’s arm. Apparently they looked good because he declared Hiccup ready to have the stitches removed. A nurse with a pair of tiny scissors made short work of them and washed his arm with something out of a bottle that stung a little bit on the new skin. In total he was in the room less than ten minutes before he was back with his dad, the lines along his arm thankfully covered by his shirt sleeves.
Stoick suggested that they stop for food on the way home to celebrate and they got take out which they ate while watching reruns of America’s Funniest Home Videos, another things that they hadn’t done since before Hiccup’s mother died. When Stoick hugged him goodnight that night it still had the underlying awkwardness that his father always had with displays of affection, but perhaps a bit less so.
Wednesday and Thursday passed both slowly because of Hiccup’s excitement over the weekend, and quickly do to how busy he was with homework. Jack was mostly unreachable for the two days as he was “catching up on all the practice I’ve not been doing lately” and Hiccup spent most of the evenings doing homework and talking with Astrid. Hiccup was surprised by just how much he was missing Jack by the time Thursday evening rolled around and he laughed at himself for acting like a lovestruck teenager, even if that was what he was. The fact that he didn’t really get to talk with Jack properly didn’t help either. He had known Jack for a month and it already felt weird, wrong even, not to see him for days at a time like this and seeing him briefly in hallways or across classrooms at school only made it worse.
When Hiccup’s alarm went off on Friday morning he practically jumped out of bed, already super excited for that evening. He got ready quickly, packed a coupled of changes of clothes and his toiletries into his backpack, and headed off to school feeling so giddy he was surprised he didn’t catch himself skipping at some point. God, he seemed determined to play the lovestruck teenager to the tee. His phone buzzed as he was heading to school and he grinned wide when he saw Jack’s name.
Jack: Morning Hiccup!
Hiccup: Morning :)
Jack: God I can’t wait for the schoolday to be over already
Hiccup: Me neither
Jack: Is it weird that I’ve really missed you, even though its only been like four days?
Hiccup: If it is then I’m a weirdo too
Jack: Awww, you missed me?
Hiccup: Well, yeah, obviously.
Jack: Gah! The next eight hours are going to be hell!
Hiccup: I know! I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it! If I die promise you’ll take care of my cat.
Jack: Not funny Hiccup.
Hiccup: Come on, it was just a joke.
Jack: There is nothing remotely funny about the idea of you dieing. Maybe its crazy to say this after so little time but I don’t know what I’d do if something happened to you.
Hiccup: That might be a little crazy, but its also incredibly sweet. And now you’ve got me blushing right before I go into school.
Jack: I’d say I’m sorry but you wouldn’t believe me :P I’ll see you in a few hours Hiccup *hugs* meet me after school at the little park three blocks north of the school, alright?
Hiccup: You ass :P *hugs* Yeah I know it, I’ll meet you there.
Hiccup’s conversation with Jack carried him all the way to school, making the walk take no time at all and leaving him grinning and bright red from more than the fall nip in the air as he walked into the building and headed to his locker. Jack was right about the day, the clock was moving so slow that Hiccup would have sworn it had gone backwards a couple times just to torment him. After lunch the minor amount of focus Hiccup had had was completely gone and he gave up with taking notes completely and instead alternated between staring at the clock and doodling absently on the blank page of his notebook. He would probably regret his distraction when he was working on his homework later, but there was nothing to be done about it. When the final bell for the day rang Hiccup said a quick goodbye to Astrid, grabbed the schoolbooks he would need for the homework that had been assigned, and then had to stop himself from flat out sprinting down the road to the park where he was meeting Jack.
As it turned out, it was good that he hadn’t sprinted since when he arrived Jack was nowhere to be seen and he would have hated to use all that energy for nothing. He shot Jack a text letting him know he had arrived, and then sat down on one of the park benches to wait. After five minutes without a response he sent Jack another text, which also went unanswered. At nearly ten minutes he was starting to get a little irritated with just sitting here waiting. His irritation vanished when he saw a car pull up to the curb a few feet from him. Its windows were so darkly tinted that he couldn’t see its driver, but there was no doubt in his mind that this car was Jack. The car was sleek, its dark blue frame curving gracefully forward and coming to the slightest point at the front of the car. It was a gorgeous car, and it probably cost more than Hiccup’s entire house, including furniture. If Hiccup had any doubt this was the right car, it was banished a moment later when the passenger window rolled down and Jack looked out at him, grinning form ear to ear at the awed look on Hiccup’s face.
“Jack?” Hiccup asked in disbelief, still ogling the car.
“So, what do you think of my baby?” Jack asked, gesturing to the car surrounding him.
“Its
insane,” Hiccup finally decided on. Jack laughed.
“Well come on, get it!” Jack reached over and opened the door for Hiccup as he rolled up the window. Hiccup quickly stood, walked over to the car, and slid into the passenger seat. As soon as Hiccup was seated with the door closed Jack was pulling him into a kiss, which Hiccup let himself fully enjoy, remembering how impossible it was to see anything through the windows from the outside. “I missed you.” Jack said with a grin when they finally broke apart.
“I missed you too.” Hiccup mirrored Jack’s grin.
“What do you say we get out of here huh?”
“Sounds good.”
“Be sure you buckle up.” Jack warned as he slowly pulled away from the curb, the car completely muffling any sound from outside.
“So this is your car?”
“Quite the beauty, isn’t he?”
“I’ll say, I’m still a bit taken back by it, although I can’t say I’m all that surprised. How long have you had, uh, him?”
“Mom and dad gave him to me as a 16th birthday present with the understanding that if I get so much as a parking ticket I lose all car privileges until further notice.”
“I guess they wouldn’t want you to be tempted to do anything dumb in a car this nice.”
“I’ll have you know that I am a very responsible driver.” Jack insisted, and Hiccup had to agree. Jack never looked away from the road and kept both his hands firmly on the wheel. He didn’t speed or weave through traffic like Hiccup usually saw with sports cars and he always signaled and slowed down well in advance of any turn. By the time the reached Jack’s house Hiccup had to admit that Jack may have been the single most careful driver that he had ever seen. “Its so nice to have a car again!” Jack practically sang as they pulled into the garage. “Look, I managed to get you all the way to my house without someone making an embarrassing comment or sexual innuendo at my expense.” Hiccup laughed and nodded his agreement.
“I suppose that is a first, isn’t it?”
“Plus we don’t have to inconvenience one of my family and deal with them being around as soon as you get here.” Jack pulled out his phone and smirked “Sorry I was late, I was getting the car from where I park it during school, and I just saw your texts since I don’t touch my phone while I’m driving.”
“Its alright, I just didn’t know what was going on while I was waiting there.”
“I was going to tell you, but I decided to let it be a surprise, and oh boy was it worth it!”
“You’re an ass.”
“If enjoying it when you make adorable faces makes me an ass, then guilty as charged.” Jack’s phone buzzed and he read it then tapped out a response. “I told my mom we were home and she said to help ourselves to any food, or ask the chef to make it. Her and my dad will be busy all night but she says they would enjoy doing another movie tomorrow if we’re agreeable.”
“Yeah that sounds fine we can- wait did you say chef?” Hiccup said before he would stop himself. Jack colored and looked away.
“Well, yeah. There’s a whole staff on staff here. Wow that was redundant. What I mean is that there is a whole kitchen staff, and a cleaning crew and all that kind of stuff that maintain the house. The kitchen that you’ve seen is the ‘family kitchen’ its where we eat when we want to eat as a family and where we can do our own cooking if we want to, but there is also a full commercial kitchen that mostly gets used when mom or dad throw a banquet, but they’re there if we need anything too.”
“Wow, okay then.”
“Is that going to be weird for you?” Jack’s apprehension was clear on his face and in his voice.
“Huh? Oh no. Well I mean it is weird, but I’ll just need a sec to digest it. So you have people that cook for you and clean your room and stuff?”
“Hah I wish, no none of the staff are actually allowed in any of our rooms, and mom insists that we keep them clean ourselves. She comes in every couple weeks to make sure that I’m keeping it clean and yells at me if I’m not. So no, the cleaning staff if just for the non-personal rooms in the house.”
“Well at least you’re that much of a normal kid.” Hiccup teased as they finally arrived outside Jack’s room.
“Hey I’m plenty normal!” Jack protested as he tossed his book bag on his desk.
“You’re really not though,” Hiccup said then, seeing the expression on Jack’s face, quickly added “and I’m not talking about the giant house and rich parents thing. Not a lot of people would have done what you did for me.”
“I assure you there are plenty of people who would have jumped at the chance to seduce you Hiccup.” Jack smirked as Hiccup rolled his eyes and his entire head along with them for good measure.
“You know what I mean. Sure people probably would have called 911, but not many people would be concerned enough for a complete stranger that they’d check up on them in the hospital afterwords.” Hiccup set his backpack down by Jack’s. “And I think you’re vastly overestimating the amount of people that would give me a second glance, much less try and ‘seduce me’ really I-” Hiccup was cut off as Jack grabbed him by the shoulder and spun him around, not forcefully enough to hurt him but not about to let him turn away either. Cradling Hiccup’s face between his hands Jack forced Hiccup to look him in the eyes.
“Hey, stop that.”
“Its the t-”
“I said stop talking bad about yourself, because I don’t take very kindly to people talking badly about things I care about. Okay?” Hiccup smiled at Jack, the now familiar warm feeling that he’d come to associate with Jack filling his chest.
“Alright.” He agreed then added “That was pretty smooth.”
“Wasn’t it though?” Jack laughed as he pulled Hiccup to him for a kiss. It was a passionate kiss and Hiccup wasn’t sure how long it was before Jack pulled away. “God I missed you so much.” He said as he kissed his way down Hiccup’s chin to his neck.
“I missed you too.” Hiccup practically hissed as Jack nipped at his earlobe then returned to kissing his neck. Kissing back up Hiccup’s neck and then his chin Jack locked their mouthes together again and slipped his hands under Hiccup’s shirt, his cool hands running up and down the skin of Hiccup’s back and leaving goosebumps in their wake. Hiccup’s shirt rode up higher and higher as Jack continued to run his hands along his back until finally Jack broke their kiss just long enough to remove it and toss it on the floor. Hiccup hadn’t realized just how much he had missed Jack until he had him in his arms again and he kissed him hungrily when suddenly he felt something soft but firm press against the back of his legs and he fell backwards onto Jack’s bed with Jack right behind him, their fall barley causing either of them to miss a beat with their kiss.
With Jack lying on top of him Hiccup could tell that the other boy was just as excited as he was. As though reading his mind Jack’s fingers migrated from his sides where they had been rubbing small circles to his jeans and firmly grabbed their button, but didn’t go any farther. Jack froze their kiss but didn’t pull away, clearly waiting for Hiccup to tell him if he should stop or keep going. Hiccup wrapped his arms around Jack’s neck and pulled him closer for a deeper kiss, hoping his meaning was clear enough for Jack to understand. It was. In no time Jack had pulled his pants down to his ankles, using his foot when his hands could no longer reach without breaking their kiss something both of them were loath to do. His underwear soon joined his pants and Hiccup moaned into the kiss when Jack’s cool hand wrapped around him.
Jack chuckled at Hiccup’s whine when he pulled back from their kiss and began kissing his way down Hiccup’s neck again, bringing out small gasps from Hiccup as he nipped and sucked at the soft skin. He didn’t linger there to long, but instead of heading back towards Hiccup’s mouth, Jack continued on the other direction. He stopped briefly to lavish some attention on Hiccup’s nipples, earning a surprised gasp for his efforts before continuing on his way.
Hiccup continued to breath in heavy pants and sharp intakes of breath as Jack continues to kiss and nip his way down his body, his muddled brain not realizing Jack’s clear final destination until he felt warm breath on his erection. “Jack?” He said with surprise, overtaken by a sudden sense of nervousness. He leaned forward a bit in order to look properly at Jack who was kneeling on the floor next to the bed, his mouth just above Hiccup’s erection.
“Do you want me to stop?” Jack’s voice shook slightly with his own nerves when he spoke. It was clear that he would stop if Hiccup asked him to. Hiccup might have told him as much too, if it hadn’t been for the nervous quaver in his voice. Knowing that Jack was also nervous about what was about to happen, that Jack was feeling just a venerable and open as he was, was a comfort for Hiccup and it calmed his nerves enough to shake his head.
“Hell no.” He added with a smirk after a seconds thought. Jack returned his smirk with one of his own that somehow managed to look both dirty and innocent at once. Hiccup was debating if he wanted to say something else witty but was only able to manage a gasp as Jack leaned forward and took him into his mouth.
Like most teenage boys, Hiccup had wondered for some time what it would be like getting a blow job, though he hadn’t imagined he’d be having that question answered any time soon. His nighttime imaginings had given him the right general idea, but they could not do justice to what Jack was currently doing to him. The wetness was much less strange than he thought it would have been and rather than painful the occasional brush of a tooth against him sent a jolt of sensations through his body that made him gasp. Just when Hiccup was starting to be able to think clearly again the sensations surrounding him changed, becoming more constricted as Jack leaned down father until Hiccup felt Jack’s nose press against his groin. Jack made several short bobs of his head that had Hiccup grabbing at the blanket. Hiccup’s brain was brought back to attention by a gagging sound and then Jack pulled away completely and coughed several times.
“Are you ok?!” Hiccup practically yelled without realizing how loud he was speaking. Jack grinned and tried to laugh which ended up turning into a cough. When he caught his breath he responded, still grinning.
“Yeah I’m fine. I guess I’ll need to work on that.”
“I don’t know, you seem to have a lot of natural talent.” Hiccup teased.
“Really? Well then just imagine once I’ve had some practice.” Before Hiccup could respond Jack had taken him back in his mouth and resumed his tender ministrations. Before too much longer Hiccup felt himself getting close to release.
“Jack,” He moaned, bucking his hips slightly “Jack I’m-ah fuck-I’m gonna-fuck!” Hiccup bucked his legs again as the first wave of his orgasm hit him. Jack bobbed his head forward, taking Hiccup all the way into his mouth and stayed there until the last pulse of Hiccup’s orgasm has passed then pulled slowly away letting Hiccup flop sticky and spent onto his stomach. Pushing himself forward Jack flopped down next to a panting Hiccup with an egregiously self satisfied smirk on his face.
“Where
did that
come from?” Hiccup panted. Jack shrugged.
“I don’t really know, I didn’t plan it or anything. I mean I’ve totally been wanting to try that but I wasn’t planning on jumping you the moment you got here.” Jack looked away a little guilty. “It was just the kissing was really hot and I had the thought and sorta just went with it.”
“Well, I’m glad you did.” Hiccup gave Jach a smirk of his own.
“So I take it you enjoyed yourself?” Jack asked, his self satisfied grin back in place.
“That seemed pretty self evident. Now” Hiccup said as he rolled over on top of Jack and slipped his hands under the hem of the blue hoodie “its your turn.” Jack’s grin was surprised as he looked up at Hiccup.
“You don’t have to.”
“I know, you’re not the only one who’s been thinking about trying it. Besides, I can’t let you show me up can I?” Hiccup had removed Jack’s hoodie and was working on the button on his pants. His nimble fingers made quick work of it and he slid Jack’s pants down freeing Jack’s erection to jump to attention and greet him. He raised an eyebrow at Jack “Going commando?” Jack just shrugged, his face and neck flushing pink.
“Its comfortable.”
“If you say so.” Hiccup didn’t waste any more time with idle conversation. Positioning himself similar to how Jack had he slowly lowered his mouth down over Jack’s erection. Jack was a bit thiner and a bit longer than he was and Hiccup’s nose was still an inch or so away from Jack’s groin when he felt Jack hitting the back of his throat, causing him to let out a contented sigh. Hiccup rolled his tongue around getting the taste of Jack. It tasted similar to the skin on Jack’s neck or back, or anywhere else really, but it was different too. Hiccup wasn’t quite sure how to describe it but he knew that he liked it, a thought that had him blushing in embarrassment. Hiccup bobbed his head up a down a couple times experimentally, taking to care to keep Jack from scraping against his teeth as much as he could, which earned him a contented humm. Taking that as encouragement and thinking back to the techniques he’s seen during late nights alone on his computer Hiccup sucked in his lips when he pulled back the next time. Hiccup froze when Jack let out a loud moan then, trying not to grin, started moving faster and sucking harder. He was rewarded richly for his efforts as Jack gasped and moaned loud enough that Hiccup was grateful for the room’s soundproofing. Fingers came down to knot themselves in Hiccup’s hair as Jack’s legs jerked underneath him and he bucked up into Hiccup’s mouth nearly causing him to gag a couple times. With a final bob Hiccup heard Jack practically shout and felt his whole body tense up as he spilt over his tongue. The thick liquid tasted bitter and a little salty and vaguely minty.
Hiccup climbed back up to lay next to a heavily panting Jack and grinned. “So how was that?”
“Fuuuck Hiccup
” was all Jack managed between breaths.
“I was surprised with how loud you were but thinking about it now, I really shouldn’t have been.”
“What is that
supposed to mean?”
“Nothing. Just that I really should have guessed you’d be a screamer.” Jack’s mouth dropped open and he gapped at Hiccup. Hiccup knew he was blushing fiercely over what he’d just said, something that he might have thought but certainly would never say anywhere else, but there was something about being here with Jack that just made him feel safe and comfortable. “If you’re going to sit there with your mouth open like that you might as well put it to good use.” Despite how turned on all of Jack’s moaning had gotten him, and the hard-on he was now sporting as a result, Hiccup had meant the comment as a joke.
Hiccup’s grin as Jack raised his eyes turned into a shocked expression of his own at Jack’s “If you insists.” Before Hiccup could say a word Jack rolled over, positioned himself over Hiccup, and took him into his mouth for the second time. Any protests Hiccup might have been about to make vanished completely from his mind as Jack started to swirl his tongue and then he was completely at the bastard’s mercy.
Several minutes later Hiccup lay panting and feeling way too exhausted considering it couldn’t be later than four thirty in the afternoon. “You are a bastard.” Hiccup’s grin stole all the venom from the word as he looked up at Jack who was looking down at him with a look of admiration that made Hiccup feel slightly uncomfortable and decidedly unworthy.
“Is that any way to thank somebody for two amazing blowjobs?”
“Little full of yourself there aren’t you? I don’t think I ever mentioned the work amazing.”
“You certainly did, not more than two minutes ago.”
“Well I can hardly be held responsible for anything I say with my dick in your mouth can I?”
“Where has my innocent little Hiccup gone?” Jack opined, then grinned when Hiccup’s cheeks colored. “Ah, there he is.”
“Do you really miss the me that couldn’t hold your hand without blushing and wanting to pull away?”
“Not in the slightest.” Jack said seriously “You only make comments like that when you’re happy, and I love seeing you happy.”
“I don’t know if its that I’m happy
” Hiccup contemplated, the backpedaled when he saw the hurt expression flash across Jack’s face briefly. “No no no, I don’t mean that I’m not happy, because I am. God Jack I think I’m happier right now then I’ve been in years, and not just because of the two amazing blowjobs. Being here, with you, away from everything else, away from school and my dad and everything, it makes me feel safe-like I don’t have to worry about anything.” Jack looked at Hiccup for a long moment then pulled him into a tight hug.
“You’re not allowed to stay sweet stuff like that and get me all emotional, its cheating.” Jack held Hiccup so long that he started to doze off to the sound of Jack’s quiet, rhythmic breathing.
Hiccup woke to the world shifting around him with the exhaustion of their earlier activities gone and pushed himself into a sitting position. “Ah crap I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you but my arm was completely asleep.” Jack rubbed the offending arm trying to encourage its circulation.
“Its fine, how long was I out?”
“Fifteen, maybe twenty minutes.”
“Good thing you woke me up then, I don’t want to spend any more of my time here asleep than I absolutely have to.” Jack grinned and guided Hiccup’s lips to his for a quick kiss.
“Well then, wanna play a game? I just picked up the new Final Fantasy.”
“Sure, I can watch you play and point out all the times you mess up.”
“Ha, sounds like a very boring time for you because I never mess up.” Jack got up off the bed as he spoke and started toward his closet to retrieve them game. After a moment Hiccup tore his gaze away from the glorious sight that was a naked Jack Frost walking away from him and glanced at Jack’s clothes lying on the floor near his bed, completely ignored, and then to his own and his mind went to war with itself.
Jack was clearly very comfortable in his body, Hiccup was not. Hiccup didn’t think he had any reason to be self conscious in front of Jack, after all Jack clearly liked the sight of him, clearly liked the unsightly freckles that made Hiccup so self conscious and clearly didn’t mind the bright pink lines going up and down his arm. Plus Jack would be disappointed if Hiccup came over to the couch with his clothes on. Sure he wouldn’t show it because that was the way Jack was, but he would be. And again, there really was no reason for it, after all Hiccup had just given the boy a blowjob for christ’s sake! The time for being self conscious and embarrassed was pretty well over. Except that he was still self conscious and embarrassed despite knowing how silly it was.
Hiccup shook his head to clear the cacophony of conflicting thoughts and tried to boil down the issue. Yes, he was feeling self conscious about being so casually naked around someone else, but he didn’t want to be. Jack clearly trusted him, even if he was more comfortable then Hiccup was with being naked, and Hiccup trusted Jack and he wanted Jack to know that. He didn’t want to force himself to do something for Jack’s sake though. He knew that Jack wouldn’t want him to do that and he wouldn’t want to feel resentful towards Jack about it later on either. At the crux of it all, Hiccup knew he felt self conscious of being naked like this, but he also knew he didn’t want to, and by his reckoning the best way to get over something was to do it. Taking a deep breath Hiccup stood, gave his clothes one last glance, and walked across the room to take a seat at the large couch in front of the screen that had flicked to life with a PS4 home screen.
Jack grinned at Hiccup as he reappeared carrying a controller and Hiccup smiled back sitting as casually as he could. Jack sat down right next to Hiccup his skin nice and cool where it brushed Hiccup’s. “I’ve been looking forward to trying this for a few days now but I haven’t had the time.”
“Really?”
“Well, you know I’ve been practicing a lot. I usually practice two hours a day, but I’ve been pretty bad since I met you.”
“Am I being a bad influence?” Hiccup’s tone was joking, but he was honestly wondering if he should impose some kind of limit on how often Jack came around to make sure he kept up with his responsibilities; he didn’t much like the idea.
“Hah, hardly. I’m just the one who’s been neglecting it cause I have poor time management skills. Its not like I haven’t practice in the last month, I’ve just been missing more days than I strictly should. That and my mom is less strict when you’re around. I think she likes you.” Jack’s words made Hiccup feel all warm inside and he wanted to reciprocate the sentiment.
“My dad likes you too.” Hiccup knew what he’d said was a mistake the moment the words left his lips and he was proven right immediately.
“Yeah, until he finds out who I really am, the he’d ban me from you’re house and lock you in your room until you leave for college.” Hiccup bit his lip as Jack closed his eyes and let out a sigh through his nose.
“I’m sorry. I-”
“I know Jack, its alright. I know that it bothers you what he thinks about people like you and-”
“People like me? Hiccup I could give a shit what your dad thanks about me, I couldn’t care in the slightest whatever ignorant backasswards thing he thiks about me. What I care about if what it does to you and what he might do to you. Because you are a people like me Hiccup, in case you forgot.” The anger and hurt in Jack’s face was clear and Hiccup was torn between anger of his own and guilt. Because Jack would have hated his father for his views with or without Hiccup, but Hiccup knew that the reason Jack always got so angry about the topic was in fact because he cared about Hiccup. Worse though was that fact that Jack hadn’t been hurt until Hiccup had stupidly said what he had said. Why did he always manage to put his foot in his mouth and say something that made him sound like the worst part of his father.
“I’m sorry Jack, I didn’t mean to say that.” Hiccup whispered, his voice thick.
“I know you didn’t,” Jack pulled Hiccup onto his lap and into a tight hug “I forgive you, and I’m sorry for what I said too.”
“I forgive you too.” Jack put his thumb under Hiccup’s chin and Hiccup allowed his lips to be led to Jack’s. They kissed for a long time, taking refuge in the intimacy and the closeness and letting it wash away the residual anger from their brief fight. They kissed until Hiccup felt something hard poking him on his right butt cheek. Pulling away Hiccup looked downward and then back up and Jack and raised an eyebrow.
“Ignore that, its got a mind of its own.” Hiccup chuckled and slid off Jack’s lap, taking a moment to appreciate Jack, and the erection that he was secretly proud to have caused, when something struck him and he froze, squinting at Jack’s crotch.
“You dye your pubes?!”
“Well
yeah? It looks weird otherwise!” Jack replied half self conscious half bemused. “Wait you just noticed that?”
“Well
yeah. So?”’ Hiccup echoed.
“So you were just half an inch away from them!”
“Well I was preoccupied at that point!”
“What’s the big deal anyway?”
“Nothing I guess, I was just surprised. So like, why?”
“I told you, it looks weird otherwise. I got sick of shaving it every other day and the guys in the locker room were giving me shit about the curtains and the drapes so I just dyed it one day. Of course that first time it burned like hell cause I used normal dye. It looked good though so after that I looked into special crotch safe hair dye and the rest is history.” Hiccup was very proud that he managed to keep himself from laughing through Jack’s entire story. Not lest because he knew Jack had just as much right to mock him for having not noticed on the multiple occasions he had seen Jack naked. Besides, Jack was right it did look good, much better than it would have brown in any case Hiccup thought.
“Thank you for sharing.” Hiccup said, almost managed to keep his voice level but failing at the very end.
“Screw you.”
“I’m a little tired right now, maybe later.” Jack just groaned and turned to the screen, finally starting up the game which they enjoyed for the next couple hours. Jack let Hiccup take over part of the way through until he got stuck on the first boss fight.
“Let me give it a try.”
“No, I’ve got this bastard!”
“Hic that was your 6th try
”
“I’m going to get him this time!”
“Fine, but if not then you have to give me the controller so I can oneshot him for you.”
“Fat chance!” Hiccup scoffed, but after several minutes his seventh try ended just the same as his previous six.
“Hah, my turn. Now watch me beat its ass in one go.” Jack practically preened as he took the controller from a glaring Hiccup.
“I bet it murders you.”
“Nope, first try guaranteed, just watch and see.” Jack resumed the game and entered the fight with Hiccup sitting smugly next to him waiting for him to die. When Jack had gotten the boss down to 1/3rd its health bar while taking only minimal damage himself Hiccup began to get a little nervous. He glanced at Jack in time to see Jack shoot him a smug smirk before jerking his gaze back to the screen. Wanting to wipe that smirk off Jack’s face Hiccup got a smirk of his own as he got a devious idea.
Ignoring the pointless nerves in his stomach Hiccup turned sideways and slid onto the floor, burying his face in Jack’s groin before the other boy realized what was happening.
“Hey what are you-ah!” Jack gasped as Hiccup started sucking. Jack may have been soft but he didn’t remain so for very long as Hiccup worked, drawing loud gasps and moans from Jack, right up until he heard the sound of the game pausing. As Jack slid lower onto the couch to give Hiccup easier access Hiccup pulled back and began to stand up as he reached for the controller in Jack’s hand.
“Oh, are you giving up? I’ll just take this back then.” Jack glared at Hiccup to met his gaze with a challenging one of his own. Hiccup reached for the controller again but Jack jerked it out of his reach.
“Wait, no. I’m not giving up, what would make you think that.”
“Oh good, I’d hate to think you were a quitter.” Hiccup knelt back down so close to Jack that when he exhaled he heard a sharp intake of breath from Jack. Hiccup resumed his efforts as soon as he hard the sounds of the game resume and soon the sounds of shouts and runts from the speakers were interspersed by ones from Jack. Hiccup could tell Jack was getting close and he could still hear the sounds of combat from behind him. Desperate he redoubles his efforts. Jack shouted as his whole body tensed up and Hiccup tasted him spill across his tongue for the second time that night. Pulling back Hiccup looked up to see Jack’s head thrown back as his thin chest rose and fell rapidly. Turning to the screen he saw with satisfaction that Jack had, in fact, died. “Awww too bad. Better luck next time.” Hiccup said in the most innocently sweet voice he could muster. Raising his head back up Jack glared at him.
“You are suck a god damn cheater.”
“Whaaaat? You were ahead of me from earlier and I thought it was the perfect time to pay you back. We’re even now.” Growling Jack lunged at Hiccup and started tickling him mercilessly. Somewhere in the ensuing struggle Hiccup ended up on the floor with Jack on top of him blowing into his belly like he was a baby, which made Hiccup laugh so hard he was almost crying. From there it wasn’t long before Jack attention shifted from Hiccup’s belly to the erection born of their earlier actives as Jack began reciprocating said activities.
“I don’t thing
I’ve ever gotten off
so many times in one day
much less a few hours.” Hiccup panted after Jack was done with him. “Then again I’ve never been naked in a room with my hot boyfriend for several hours before either.” He said when he finally caught his breath.
“Happy to be of service. Plus now I’m ahead again, so you have an excuse the next time you need to cheat at a video game.” Jack waggled his eyebrows and Hiccup slapped his arm weakly.
“I could get used to this.” Hiccup said as he curled up onto Jack’s lap, ignoring the other boys erection poking him insistently, and rested his head in the crook of Jack’s neck. They stay like that for several minutes until the moment was ruined by Hiccup stomach which growled loudly.
“How about I call down to the kitchen and have them make something?” Jack suggested. Hiccup ignored how weird it was to have someone saying that while in their own home, and nodded.
“That would be good. Apparently sexual exploration works up quite the appitite.” Hiccup laughed as Jack choked.
Jack walked over to his forgotten clothing to retrieve his phone and Hiccup joined him, grabbing his own from his pants. While Jack dialed Hiccup saw he had a massage from Astrid and a missed call from his father. Groaning he steeled himself and called his the redial option. The phone rang once before Stoick picked up.
“Hello? Hiccup?”
“Hey dad.” Hiccup tried his best not to sound guilty. “Sorry I missed your call. I, uh, had my phone plugged in in Jack’s room cause it was dieing and we were away from it so I didn’t hear it.” Hiccup lied.
“Ah. Well I take it you arrived at Jack’s safely then?”
“Yeah dad I’m here safe and sound.”
“Good, good. I hope you have a good time then. Behave yourself, don’t be a bother to Jack’s parents and be sure to thank them for having you over.”
“I know dad I know. I know how to be a good guest.”
“After seventeen years of teaching you’d better.”
“I’m seventeen now dad, you couldn’t have been teaching me since I was a baby.”
“Of course I was! I-” Stoicks next words were drowned out when they mixed with Jack saying something.
“Hold on one second dad. What was that Jack?”
“I said, chicken, pasta, or burgers?”
“Ummm, pasta actually sounds really good right now.”
“Pasta it is then.”
“Sorry dad, Jack was just asking what I wanted for dinner. His parents are busy with work tonight so were sort of on our own for dinner.” It was a complete lie at least.
“Really? Are you sure its alright you being there if they are so busy? I can always come pick you up if they need.”
“Yeah dad I’m sure, Anna wouldn’t have invited me if it wasn’t. Besides, me and Jack are seventeen, its not like they need to make sure we don’t stick out finger into electric outlets.”
“I don't know, you never really grew out of the sticking your fingers into dangerous things phase, you just found bigger dangerous things.”
“Geeze dad, I’m not going to cause trouble. I promise that if I’m going to electrocute myself I will have the manors to do it in my own.”
“That’s my boy.” Stoick laughed.” Very well, as I said be good and have fun. I will see you Sunday.”
“See you then dad.”
“Goodbye Hiccup, I love you.”
“I love you too dad.”
“What was that about?” Jack asked as Hiccup hung up the phone.
“He just wanted to make sure that I got here safe and to tell me to have a good time.”
“Ah.” Jack was quite for a moment before he spoke again. “I’m sorry I’m always so harsh towards him, I know he cares about you. Anybody who cares about your safety and happiness can’t be all bad, at least not in my book.” Hiccup smiled and hugged Jack.
“Thanks.”
“Dinner should be ready in about forty-five minutes.” Jack said as they headed back to the couch.
“Ugh, so long! I’m going to waste away!”
“Oh come on Hiccup you like, just had a snack. I’m sure you’ll be fine.”Hiccup glared at Jack who returned his look with one that was far to proud of the joke he’d just made.
“Honestly I’m surprised there wasn’t a ‘I’ve got some meat you can snack on’ comment at that, so I guess I should count myself lucky.”
“Oh you should talk, I’m not the one who’s been cracking the sex jokes all day Mr. Sudden-Dirty-Mind! I mean I usually am but you’ve been stealing all my thunder, I’ve got to take it where I can get it at this point.”
“Well you’ve certainly been doing that haven’t you?” Jack froze with his mouth open as he went back through what he had said and then just nodded in acceptance.
“I pitched that one right over the plate for you.”
“You kinda did.” Hiccup agreed.
“At least Aster wasn’t here for that.”
“Agreed. I mean mostly because were both sitting here naked and I’m sure we’d never hear the end of it.”
“No we would not.” Jack confirmed.
Jack went back to try again with the boss while Hiccup read Astrid’s text.
Astrid: Hey, you wanna hang out this weekend some time? You can bring your boy toy with you.
Hiccup: Actually, Jack invited me over for the weekend so were hanging here. :/
Astrid: Wow, going to leave me for Jack again are you?
Hiccup: Well, I mean, I don’t wanna be one of those people who ditches their friend for the boyfriend, and I do totally love you, but like, have you seen his ass?
Astrid: WOOOOOW OK that’s where were going with this? Fine you whore, I’ll find my own fun.
Hiccup: Its my body Astrid and I’ll do whatever I want with it and you can’t judge me.
Astrid: Wait, did you two really?
Hiccup: No! Well I mean kind of?
Astrid: THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN KIND OF?!?! YOU CAN NOT  ‘kind of’ FUCK HICCUP, EITHER YOU DID OR YOU DIDN’T! You need to cut this kind of crap out right now! I swear you’re going to be sitting on the boy’s dick like ‘oh well we sorta kinda did something’
Hiccup: GOD ASTRID STOP we didn’t do any like actual sex stuff.
Astrid: So then you didn’t put anything in anything else yet? :P
Hiccup: Well that’s not true, strictly speaking.
Astrid:
Hiccup I swear to god, either tell me or don’t but if you keep playing coy like this I will call Jack and asked him if he was the bottom or the top.
Hiccup: Don’t you fucking dare! Although we haven’t actually talked about that yet?
Astrid: That’s it, I’m going to kill you.
Hiccup: He just gave me a blowjob.
Hiccup: And then I gave him one.
Astrid: OMG Hiccup!
Hiccup: And he gave me another one
Hiccup: And then I gave him another one
Astrid: Wait what?
Hiccup: And then he gave me another one.
Astrid: JESUS HICCUP YOU’VE BEEN THERE FOR ONE EVENING! You’re going at it like a starving man on a gogurt.
Hiccup: Thank you for that wonderful image. You are an artist with your words. And its not my fault!
Astrid: I try my best. And how is it not your fault? I assume he didn’t make you suck his dick, cause if he did he knows I’ll kill him.
Hiccup: He’s really hot.
Astrid: Oh my GOD Hiccup!
Astrid: Who are you and where is the real Hiccup?
Hiccup: Idk, maybe he got sucked out through my dick.
Hiccup: Seriously though, it is really weird. Like, super weird. But also amazing? Like I never in a million years thought that I would ever be doing this with someone, well, ever really, but certainly not before I left the house permanently. But I really like doing it now? Its legit amazing and not just because the sex is good (it is good though, boy’s got some skills! [god I can’t believe I just typed that]) but because its with him. Like, I feel really really comfortable with him, like I can be myself and not worry about anything. I’ve been naked basically since I got here and I was kinda nervous at first but I’m mostly over that now and I just. It doesn’t feel like I’m me? But also like I’m finally me? Does that even make sense?
Astrid: Kinda? Like its so weird because its so different from what you would normally ever do but its also something that you’ve always wanted to do?
Hiccup: Yeah, thats a good way of saying it.
Astrid: Whatever the reason, I’m super glad to hear you talking like this Hiccup. I suppose I can forgive Jack for taking my best friend if he makes you so happy.
Hiccup: He really does. Like, I think I love him.
Astrid: Woah. Like, love love?
Hiccup: Like love love.
Astrid: Wow, thats intense. Isn’t it kinda soon, you’ve been dating what, I month?”
Hiccup: Almost exactly actually, I just realized tomorrow will be one month. And I don’t know? Like, I used to think that you had to know someone for years to know if you loved them or not. But now? Like I’m always thinking of him and he makes me feel warm and safe and welcomed whenever he’s around, and it feels wrong when I don’t see him every day, and I just. I don’t even know?
Astrid: Well you certainly sound like a love struck teenager :P
Hiccup: Thanks, that’s exactly what I was going for -.-
Astrid: Are you going to tell him?
Hiccup: I don’t know? I want be sure before I do.
Astrid: That makes sense. Good luck figuring it out.
Hiccup: Thanks. I think our food is going to be done soon so I’ll talk to you later.
Astrid: Talk to you later. I’d tell you to have fun, but since you apparently can’t go an hour without going down on each-other that seems pretty much assured, so instead remember, deep breaths and watch your teeth! ;P
Hiccup: ..l..
Hiccup looked up to find Jack looking at him. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah, why do you ask?”
“You just had this super serious look on your face while you were texting, thats all.”
“Oh, it was just Astrid. She wanted to hang out this weekend but I said I was busy here and then she asked what I was doing and so that turned into a whole thing with her giving me shit.”
“Why Hiccup, I didn’t think you the kind to kiss and tell!”
“I figure if I tell her the truth it keeps her from assuming way more and trying to figure it out for herself. Just saves everyone a lot of trouble.”
“Fair enough, now-” Jack was interrupted by a knock at the door which opened a moment later to reveal Pitch walking in with two black boxes stacked one on top of the other.
“Hello Jack, Hiccup, I was heading to the record room and so I volunteered to bring these up to you.” Pitch looked around the room and saw Jack’s head poking up from behind the couch, facing him. “Where’s Hiccup?”
“Oh, he’s over here, he’s just, uh, laying down, that’s all.” Hiccup raised a hand from where he was cowering behind the couch and waved.
“Hi Pitch.”
“Is that our dinner?” Jack asked.
“Yes, here you-” Pitch said as he started walking toward the couch.
“Over there is fine, we’ll get it in a minute.” Jack gestured to his desk with his head. Pitch stopped and raised a quizzical eye at Jack and then surveyed the room. His gaze fell upon the discarded clothes, still lying by Jack’s bed, and he turned around to face Jack again with an eyebrow raised incredulously.
“Really Jack, if you are going to try and be sneaky at least don’t leave the clothing strewn about in plain view.” Hiccup thought he might die as he lay there, his face burning. “I do hope you are at least being safe Jack I-”
“Oh my god get out!” Jack shouted and threw a pillow at Pitch.
“Well, is that any way to treat someone who has brought you food.” Pitch said in a falsely offended voice as he placed the boxes on the desk and made for the door. As soon as it closed Jack jumped up, ran over to it, and locked it with a satisfying click.
“I am so sorry about that.” Jack said as he came back to Hiccup who was still lying behind the couch, hiding. He pulled Hiccup, who was shaking slightly, into his arms. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, yeah I’m fine I just
for a second when door opened it was my dad.” Hiccup said simply.
“I understand. But remember you’re safe here, you don’t have to hide. And the door is locked now so you don’t have to worry.” Hiccup nodded into Jack’s shoulder and stayed there with Jack rubbing small circles on his back until his racing heart had finally calmed back down.
After that they retrieved their food and ate what Hiccup was pretty sure would qualify as a five-star dish of pasta while watching a random show on Netflix. After that Hiccup curled up next to Jack while he played the game for a couple more hours and then the two of them crawled into Jack’s bed together. Lying there tucked into the crook of Jack’s arm, with his skin pressed against Jack’s and the soft beat of Jack’s heart in his ear Hiccup thought he might have never been happier. Despite their little fight, and Pitch’s terrifying interruption, today may just have been the best day of his life.
Hope everyone enjoyed the chapter. I swear it didn’t start out all smutty, it just happened! So a quick update on me. I’m pretty blessed to be the kind of person who is usually pretty happy, like me default mode is usually happy. The down side of that is when I do get down, it’s more like crippling depression where I have a hard time finding the motivation to shower much less do anything else and that’s basically what’s been happening the last few months, combined with a lot of life stuff keeping me busy and eating up all the motivation that I had. I’ve been coming out of it for a bit but I still wasn’t feeling the motivation until on the same day I had someone leave a wonderful note about the last couple chapters on Deviant Art and Rise of the Guardians (god I love that movie) was randomly on TV and I wrote this monster in like, a 7 hour writing haze. If not for Christmas I would have gotten it out probably on Friday. Anyway, that’s where I’ve been, sorry it’s been so long :( I want to thank everyone who’s still reading Guardian for sticking with me, and to all the new people I see following it, welcome aboard! Special thanks to the people who leave comments, reviews, and send asks, you really are the thing that keeps me going as demonstrated by the fact that this chapter exists right now.
I love you all! -CyXandrix

I’m incredibly grateful that me default emotional state seems to be happy, but when my depression kicks in it really kicks in. Especially love the cycle of “literally can’t find the motivation to do anything, oh now I feel guilty cause I didn’t do anything so why should I bother now?”
I really hope this passes soon. I miss enjoying writing, or reading, or TV.

Why doesnt anyone ever talk about one of the funniest moments in OS when Officer Jenny thought Brock was the one who stole Ash’s Phanphy Egg and she even tries to fucking imitate Brock’s voice complete with a sinister flashback?

Miscommunication Chapter 1
Confession time! I’ve been slowly slipping into Klance hell since I first watched Voltron months ago, so I guess this was really inevitable. Still, I blame @fangirltothefullest for reblogging the idea for this fic at just the right time of night to catch my creativity in a strangle hold! So here’s the first chapter of what hopefully won’t be to long of a story in which Lance accidently asks Korra and Asami on a double date with him and Keith that turns out not quite what they hoped and it goes exactly where you think it does.
“Is that her?” Lance pointed at a group of freshmen girls sitting at a table across the courtyard. “What? No, and stop pointing she’ll see you!” Keith hissed, looking up from his physics text book to glare at his friend. “Well then point her out to me! Come on you’ve been crushing on this girl for like, a month. “Its the forth day of class Lance, I only met her three days ago.” “Someone has to know your name before you’ve met them, otherwise its just stalking.” “I am not a stalker!” “Whatever you say buddy, now come point her out to me!” Keith closed his book with an exasperated sigh and leaned over to see past Lance. “She’s right there.” He gestured vaguely in the direction of the far corner of the courtyard. “She’s the one with the black hair. “Keith, there are
one two three
seven, seven girls over there with black hair. You need to narrow it down.” “She’s the one with the red undershirt. Sitting next to the girl with the dark brown hair and the blue tank top. “Oooh, the one with the oh my god boots!” “The what?” “You know, boot that when you see someone ware them its just, Ay dios mio!” Lance fanned himself with his hand as he spoke. “Yeah, sure.” “Oh wait, I know the girls she’s with!” “Wait you what?” “Yeah, thats Korra. I met here in that weightlifting class last semester. Well maybe met isn’t the right word, I spotted for her while she was lifting. She’s scary strong for someone her size.”  Lance appeared to be deep in thought for a moment before he looked at Keith and waggled his eyebrows “Just my kind of girl!” “Wait what? Lance what are you doing? Lance get back here!” Keith stage whispered after Lance as he got up and headed toward the two women, ignoring the angry hissing behind him. “Hey, Korra right?” Lance said as smoothly as he could, slipping down into a seat next to the surprised looking woman. “Yes?” She asked, the word drawn out in cautious suspicion. “I’m Lance, we had a weightlifting class together last semester.” “Oh yeah, I thought you looked familiar.” “Nice to meet you Lance, my names Asami” the other woman offered Lance a hand and he shook it enthusiastically. “Is there something I can help you with?” Korra said, clear in her voice that she was just being polite in asking. Ever the optimist, Lance pressed on. “Actually there is, at least I hope there is.” He leaned in a bit closer, turned slightly in his chair, and pointed at Keith. “You see that cutie over there? Dark hair, red Jacket?” “The one who just flipped us off?” Asami asked, clearly suppressing a laugh. It took some effort but Lance managed to keep the smile on his face. “Yes that would be him, and don’t worry I’m confident that gesture was meant just for me. Anyway, so I’ve been trying to get him to get out and have some fun for, well for what seems like forever but he’s super shy and nervous. Would the two of you possibly be interested in going with us to The Castle this Friday? Kind of a double date thing?” “Oh, uh, I’m not sure if-” Korra started, clearly surprised by his request. “I think it sounds like fun. Its been ages since we actually went out and did anything.” Asami said. Korra turned to look at her for a moment before turning back to Lance. “Alright then Lance, sounds like you got yourself a double date.” Lace grinned broadly, genuinely shocked his ploy had worked. Keith was gonna owe him big time! “Awesome! You want us to pick you up?” “We’ll meet you guys there, say seven?” Asami answered the question which had been directed at them both. “Cool, cool, I’ll make the reservations then. We’ll both see you two on Friday.” “Oh, one question!” Asami called as Lance turned to leave. “Hmm?” “Whats the cuties name?” “Oh! His name’s Keith. Keith Kogane.” “Alright, we’ll see you and Keith Friday at seven.” Asami smiled as she waved to Keith from across the courtyard. Lance saw him cock his head as he approached. “What was that!” Keith hissed as soon as Lance regained his seat. “We’ve got a double date at the Castle Friday at seven. Your welcome.” Keith’s dumbfounded expression was so perfect Lance actually tried to whip out his phone and take a picture before he recovered. “Wait really?” “Yes really?” “How the hell did you pull that off?” “Cause I’ve got game buddy, its that simple. Oh, and she thinks you’re cute.” “Maybe I’ll have to stop mocking your ‘game’ then - wait she does? Really?” “Yeah, lucky for you she obviously had poor taste.” Keith punched Lance in the arm, but it was worth it. Leaning back he sighed “Honestly, sometimes it hurts being this good.” “Yeah well, lets see if you can follow it up on Friday huh?” “Keith, buddy, my man, this was the hard part. From here on out it’ll be smooth sailing.” Keith grunted in reply, but Lance noticed that he was smiling for most the rest of the day.
*******************************************************************************************
“So how do I look?” Keith asked when he arrived at the door to Lance’s dorm room, pulling self consciously at the collar of his shirt. “You look good dude!” Lance said honestly, admiring the way Keith had made his hair look somehow less mullety without actually changing it at all. He hadn’t seen Keith this dressed up since the 10th grade. “Really?” Keith clearly did not believe that he looked good. “Yeah dude, I’d totally bang you if I were into that.” “Gee thanks. Might mean more if your standards were higher than ‘two legs and a pulse.’” “Wow, rude. Is that any way to talk to the guy who got you a hot date for the evening?” “I think I’ll wait to thank you and see how the night plays out first.” “Hey, I can’t be held responsible if you fuck it up for yourself.” “Now who’s being rude?” “You started it. Besides, all you have to do is stick close to me and let my coolness carry your awkwardness.” “You’re such an ass sometimes, you know that?” “Yeah but its why you love me.” “Pht, yeah whatever. Lets get going or we’ll be late meeting the girls.” The Castle was the premier dining location for everyone at New Republic University, located just off its campus it was only a ten minute walk from the dorms. The old building was actually an old church, and it looked it with its weird pointed roof and new stained glass windows. They two of them arrived at 6:47 and went in to get their table. Lance was glad he’d called ahead and gotten a reservation as the place was absolutely packed with college students. Some were obviously there on a date like he and Keith, others were clearly just out with friends celebrating the end of another week of classes. “What can I do for you two handsome young men?” Asked the owner of the place, Allura, as they walked in. She was tall with long hair dyed a platinum silver with a bit of face paint, prosthetic ear tips, and a flowing gown that completed her costume as princess of the castle. “We’ve got a reservation under McClain.” “Lets see, McClain, McClain, ah, here we are reservation for four.” She led them to a table against the far wall, next to one of the large stained glass windows. “Can I get you two anything to start off with?” “Uh, just some water would be great.” Keith said, his mouth suddenly quite dry. “Sure thing, I’ll send some over. Coran will be over to take your order once the rest of your party arrives.” “Thank you.” Lance said as she hurried away back toward the entrance of the restaurant. The wait for the others wasn’t a long one, but it was long enough for their waters to be brought over and for lance to completely shred his straw wrapped into tiny little pieces. Keith elbowed him when he saw Korra and Asami entering the building, both dressed quite nicely in evening dresses, Asami’s a bright red and Korra’s a light blue. Lance quickly swept the straw wrapper bits into his hand and hid them in his pocket as the two women arrived at the table. “Sorry were a little late, I forget how busy this place can get sometimes.” Asami said as they arrived. “Don’t let her fool you, we would have been here ten minutes ago if she hadn’t insisted on finding the perfect pair of shoes to match her dress.” Korra teased as they sat down next to once another, across from Lance and Keith “Totally worth it though.” She said to Asami who grinned and looked away. Not knowing exactly how to respond to whatever that had been Lance smiled and said “Not a problem at all ladies.” “Good evening, what can I get you young people tonight?” Asked the server Coran, a tall man with red hair and a fabulous mustache to match and makeup and ears just like Allura’s. “Oh, um, we had a chance to look at the menu, but I think they’ll need a minute.” Lance said, gesturing to the girls. “Actually, we’re good.” Asami said and proceeded to order the steak and potato dinner special. Lance laughed in his head at Keith having to pay for the most expensive item on the menu. “I’ll have the mystery dinner.” Korra said, drawing shocked looks from Lance and Keith and exasperation from Asami. The Castle had great food, but everyone knew to steer far away from the mystery dinner which was usually some bizarre creation of Coran’s as he tried out new recipes. “Why are you getting that?” She asked, then sighed when Korra replied. “Cause I’m not a little bitch, thats why.” Sensing a challenge Lance ordered the same thing, earning him a thoughtful look from Korra. “I’ll just have the four cheese lasagna.” Keith said as he handed his menu to Coran. “Ah, so he does speak!” Korra said as Coran walked away. “Don’t mind her, Lance told us that you’re a bit shy.” “Oh, did he now?” Keith turned to glare at Lance. “Sure did! You know me, always watching out for you.” Lance put an arm around Keith’s shoulder’s and shook him playfully. “Asami gave that up a long time ago.” Korra said with a smirk. “I haven’t given it up. I just learned to pick my battles.” Asami smiled at Korra. “I’ll always watch out for you.” Lance was about to say something when Korra leaned over and kissed Asami on the cheek, then on the chin, and then the neck which finally caused her to lean away and push Korra by the shoulder. “Were in public!” She said, but her voice was happy with laughter. Korra laughed as she pulled back and reached over to twin her fingers between Asami’s. Lance stared with a smile still frozen on his face, trying to process what he had just witnessed. He was beginning to have a sinking feeling in his stomach, one which was heightened a moment later when Asami spoke. “Its nice to go out with another couple, a lot of single people I know get weirded out by any kind of PDA.” “Yeah
” Lance said automatically, his head nodding without his consent. He was replaying the conversation he had with the girls and paired that with what they’d just said. Shit. Shit shit shit shit shit! They thought he and Keith were a couple, he and Keith, he and KEITH, a couple! Lance couldn’t think of anything more ridiculous! His brain tried to work through what to do, or look at Keith for help, or at least do something other than sit their grinning like a moron. It failed dismally. Luckily for Lance, Coran arrived at that moment and placed a bowl a dinner rolls in the center of the table. “Thank god I’m starving!” Korra reached forward to grab a roll and flinched, leaning back and reaching behind her. “Shit, I think something came undone on your fancy dress.” She looked at Asami pleadingly. “Excuse us for a minute.” Asami said as she stood and helped Korra stand and led her off toward the bathroom. Lance had never in his life been so thankful for cheaply made clothing than at that moment. As soon as the girls were out of sight Keith turned to Lance. “What. The. FUCK?!” He hissed! “I don’t know!” “They think were a couple!” “I know!” “How did this happen?!” “I don’t know!” “You said you got us dates! You said you got me a date with Asami!” “I know!” “Stop saying that!” “I can’t, I don’t know what else to say!” “Say something useful!” “I can’t!” “Well what are we going to do?” “I don’t know!” “I swear to God Lance! How did you manage to try hooking us up with two lesbians?” “I didn’t know - last semester Korra told me I reminded her of her ex-boyfriend! I thought she was straight!” “Well clearly she not! And now they both think were gay! We have to get out of here.” “Well we can’t just leave. We already ordered, plus what kind of assholes would we be if we just vanished before they came back?” “So we tell them this was a misunderstanding when they get back and go from there.” “No we can’t do that!” “What? Why not!?” “Because Keith, think how awkward that would be?” “So what do we do then huh? Pretend you and me are a couple?” “I can’t be that hard.” “I think I’d rather die.” “Wow dude, harsh. I don’t think I’m that bad
” “Oh my god we are not having this conversation!” “Fine. We’ll fake it for the rest of the dinner, and then never speak of this night again?” “Fine.” Keith grudgingly agreed just as Korra and Asami reappeared from the bathroom and walked back over. “Sorry about that, apparently I don’t know how this new dress works.” She said with a mock grimace. “Its fine, those things are a giant pain in the ass if you ask me.” “You have some first hand experience?” Korra asked. “Wha me? Oh no no no. I have two older sisters and two younger sisters. I’ve help put on more than my fair share of dresses in my life.” “Really? That must have been quite the adventure growing up with that many siblings.” Lance shrugged “Sometimes, other times it was awful, you know how siblings are.” “Not really actually, I never had any growing up.” “Me neither.” Korra added. “What about you?” She asked Keith who was sitting low in his chair with his arms crossed. “Oh, uh, I was raised in an group home, so no siblings but I did live with other kids.” Keith said flatly, his tone a bit sharp. “Oh.” Korra clearly didn’t know what to say to that and was clearly a bit offended at his tone. “Hey,” Asami looked at Keith with an understanding smile. “You don’t have to be nervous here. I know people say it a lot, but genuinely, nobody here cares. Besides, even if somebody did Allura wouldn’t stand for it, she’s super cool like that. Unless your an asshole like I said, then she’d kick your ass.” “Yeah man, relax,” Lance said and, trying to sell this whole couple thing, reached over and grabbed Keith’s hand, lacing his fingers through Keith’s. “Try to have some fun alright?” He asked genuinely. Keith softened a bit and sighed, sitting up in his chair and removing his other arm from where it still lay over his chest. “You two are adorable. How long have you been together?” Keith and Lance both went red at her comment and pointedly refused to look at one another. Finally after a moment of embarrassed silence Lance answered her. “We’ve actually known each other since we were like twelve.” They had in fact been best friends since they were twelve with Keith coming over to Lance’s so often that it had sometimes felt like he had two brothers instead of just his one biological one. He gave an ironic chuckle as he suddenly remembered one time in junior year in High School his oldest sister actually asked if he and Keith were dating. The idea was just as ridiculous then; Lance had never thought about Keith in that way, and that hadn’t changed in the past three years. “Thats so sweet! Childhood friends turned lovers. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say it like that.” Asami said when she saw both Lance and Keith stiffen at her words. “She a bit of a hopeless romantic.” Korra said, affection so clear in her voice that Lance felt a little pang of jealousy. Not for Korra specifically, but just for someone to speak to him like that. Without really thinking about it he squeezed the hand he was still holding and to after a second Keith squeezed back. Lance felt his chest do a little flip at the gesture, which surprised him, but he was distracted from his thoughts then as their food arrived. It turned out that the ‘mystery meal’ was some form of thick green goop which Lance and Korra both deemed inedible. Shaking her head Asami pushed her plate over and shared her meal with Korra and after a couple minutes of shooting sad glanced at his plate Keith pushed his lasagna over to share with a very grateful Lance. As they ate they talked about school and Lance discovered that Asami was in her last year of the schools engineering program and Korra was finishing up a communications major with hopes to one day be a peace negotiator. Both girls were very impressed with Keith’s place in the aerospace program and nodded understandingly when Lance said he was still finishing his Gen. Eds. while figuring out exactly what he wanted to do since his mother had threatened to disown him if he followed his first dream of flying in the Air Force. Keith and Asami also discovered that they actually had three classes in common this semester but only one in the same session and talked for a bit about a recent lesson while Lance and Korra discussed their favorite video games. As the meal drew to a close Lance found Keith leaning against him much like Korra was doing with Asami, their fingers still intertwined, a fact that he hadn’t realized until that moment. When the checks came Asami grabbed them both and handed them, along with a credit card, to Coran. “My treat.” She said, waving away any protest from Lance or Keith. “Its the least I can do, after all you guys came up with the idea and I had a really good time tonight.” “It was a lot of fun.” Korra agreed. “We should do it again sometimes. Maybe we can have you over to our house?” Lance agreed that the night had been a very good one, if not what he’d expected, and he found himself agreeing without really thinking, then corrected himself. “If you want to that is, uh, hun?” he said to Keith who Lance could tell was exorcising considerable restraint not to comment on Lance calling him ‘hun’. “Sure.” Keith finally said, actually sounding genuine about it. “Great! Here,” Asami handed Lance her phone “put your number in here and I’ll call you later to set it up.” “Oh, uh, okay.” It took Lance a moment to enter his number into the phone, which was much newer than his own. “Great, I’ll call you soon then.” Coran returned with her card and they all stood to leave. The four of them made their way out of the restaurant, waving goodbye to Allura as they did so, and out to the parking lot. Lance wrapped an arm around Keith’s shoulder and Keith leaned into him while they waved to Korra and Asami who got into a bright white Jeep and drove away. They were gone for several long moments before either Lance or Keith seemed to realize it and they hastily stepped away from one another. “See? That wasn’t so bad.” “At least its over now.” Keith said, not looking at Lance. “I don’t know about that,” Lance said pointedly “remember we agreed to see them again.” Keith gave a noncommittal grunt and Lance nodded in agreement. It looked like he’d get plenty more practice pretending to have feelings for Keith.

Guardian Chapter 20
New chapter woo! And it hasn’t even been a month! Not too much has changed since last time, just working hard on writing. Special thanks to everyone who leaves comments and asks and reviews and all those things. There have been times I don’t think I would have been able to find the motivation to keep going with Guardian without you! Y’all are amazing! Hope everyone likes this chapter and I’ll talk to you next time!
The next day of school he and Jack left from different exists like they had planned and took separate routs to Hiccup’s house. The walk felt lonely, but Hiccup’s resolve had only been strengthened when he walked past Snotlout on the way out of school.
“Awww, did you boyfriend dump you? Poor little Fuckup.” He’d said as Hiccup strode past him, pointedly ignoring the larger teen.
Hiccup’s rout was a bit shorter than Jack’s and so when he arrived Jack was nowhere in sight so Hiccup went to unpack his book bag at his desk in his bedroom. Sooner than he’d expected there was a light knock at the door and Hiccup ran to open it for a grinning Jack.
“Hey there hot stuff.” Jack said quietly as Hiccup stepped aside to let him in and closed the door behind him. As soon as the door closed he reached over and pulled Hiccup into a kiss, which Hiccup happily reciprocated. Why couldn’t everything be as simple as this? Just standing here in the privacy of his empty living room, kissing the person he was pretty sure he was falling in love with, without having to worry about who might be watching. Of course it couldn’t be like that. In a matter of hours this very spot would no longer be the safe haven it currently was. Jack’s house was a safe haven like this, but it was an incredibly long walk from the school and Hiccup couldn’t arrange a ride there or back on any regular basis, so his house would have to do.
Jack grinned as they broke apart “I’ve been waiting all day to do that.”
“Well I’m glad you did wait.” Hiccup snarked without thinking, then blanched. The memory of their fight the previous day was still fresh in his mind. The panic that was flowing through him, the guilt and horror as he realized the words that he was saying, the gut wrenching cold in his chest as he saw Jack walking away from him, angry and hurt over something he had said. Hiccup wasn’t sure if he was imagining the sudden brittleness of the air, or the ever so slight fall of Jack’s expression, but a moment later it was gone and he could almost believe that he had indeed imagined it.
“Well I thought about jumping you in the hallway, but I thought the administration might take issue with that. I mean Pitch is good, but I don’t know if even he could get me out of that scott free.” Hiccup laughed, the tension draining out of him as Jack’s easy expression and playful attitude.
“Yeah I’d rather not graduate High school with a public indecency charge on my record.”
“Hah! No, your glory is for my eyes only.” Jack said as he pressed his lips back to Hiccup’s, his hands slipping under Hiccup’s shirt and ridding the fabric up toward his head.
Hiccup grabbed Jack’s wrists and pulled away from their kiss. “Closes say on at my house.” He said, then immediately felt guilty and Jack’s momentarily disappointed expression. The tension from the previous day seemed to return in a heartbeat. “I’m sorry Jack I really am, its not that I don’t want to because I do, I mean you can probably tell that pretty obviously right now, but were at my house and my dad could come home and what do I say to him if were shirtless or-” Hiccup babbled, not willing to look Jack in the face, afraid of what he might see there. He didn’t have a choice a moment later however as Jack grabbed his face, one hand on either cheek, and made Hiccup look at his face which was calm with a slightly amused smile.
“Stop apologizing, okay?”
“But I keep telling you no and-” Jack’s firm voice cut Hiccup off.
“Hiccup, when I said yesterday that I wanted you to be happy and that I was willing to make some sacrifices for that, I meant it. Would I love to be able to kiss you goodbye without making up a reason to be alone first? Yes. If I could I’d show you off to the world so they would know what a lucky guy I am. But I can’t do any of those things if I scare you away by forcing you to change, or your dad bans me from your house. Sure someday I wanna kiss you in front of all our friends and family, but right now I’m just happy to kiss you in your empty kitchen.”
Hiccup felt all the nervousness and tension he’d been feeling vanish at Jack’s words and Hiccup pulled him into a bone crushing hug “I-” he started, but the words stuck on his tongue, not yet sure if they were ready to be said. “You’re amazing.” He said instead, nuzzling his cheek against Jack’s chest.
Jack shook his head. “Hardly.” He kissed the top of Hiccup’s head and they stood there, much like the had the previous day only both much happier.
**********************************************
The rest of the week passed both quickly and slowly for Hiccup. Days at school seemed to drag by painfully slowly while the evenings he spent with Jack felt like minutes in comparison. Snotlout seemed to get bored of making fun of Hiccup and Jack now that the two weren’t leaving the school together every day, and Hiccup wasn’t giving him any sort of response to his teasing. It didn’t seem like he’d spread his theory over the school either, or at least people weren’t talking about it as far as Hiccup, Jack, or Astrid, who had been recruited to help scout out the situation by Hiccup, could tell. He had told her all about his fight with Jack and in the end she’d said she was staying out of that one because she couldn’t decide who she thought was in the right. She agreed that Jack had been ‘very inconsiderate of Hiccup’s feelings’ but she also seemed genuinely shocked when Hiccup told her what he’d said, her expression making him feel ashamed of himself all over again.
Astrid had been quite excited when Hiccup brought up the idea of the Zoo trip, and evidently so had Sandy, because the two of them were currently sitting in the back seat of a Jeep with Hiccup in the passenger seat and Jack driving, heading down the freeway.
“So where did you get the Jeep?” Astrid asked as they sped down the freeway, Jack going slightly faster than was probably necessary. “You don’t usually drive to school, so I’m assuming its not yours.”
“No, its my brother’s old Jeep. He let me borrow it for the day.”
“Well that was nice of him. And you make him out to be a total ass.”
“Yeah well don’t give him to much credit he’s making me earn it.” That wasn’t completely true; all it had taken to get Aster to agree to let Jack use his old Jeep was an evening of ice cream with Jack while the latter told all about his fight with Hiccup. By the end Aster had basically insisted Jack take the car. His mother on the other hand had taken quite a lot of convincing to lift his driving ban even for a day and in the end he had had to agree to spend a weekend very soon going over college brochures with her.
“It is a good thing you are allowed to have a car at all, after what you did.” Came the robotic voice of Sandy’s sign language translator.
“What did he do?” Came Hiccup and Astrid’s question at the same time.
“Its not really a big deal!” Jack said louder than necessary for the small vehicle.
“He left when he was not supposed to and drove nine hours to meet a stranger from craigslist.” Sandy’s translator was nearly drowned out as everyone in the car spoke at once.
“You bastard! Don’t make it sound like that!” Jack shouted at Sandy, who was shaking with silent laughter at this point.
“Excuse me?” Came Hiccup’s incredulous reply.
“Wow, you whore!” Astrid shouted.
“Okay okay okay! Let me speak!” Jack shouted over everyone until they were quiet. “First of all, it was not a hookup,” He pointed at Hiccup “even it if was don’t be judgmental,” he pointed at Astrid “and three,” he pointed at Sandy “you’re an ass.”
“I was under the impression you liked ass.” Came Sandy’s monotone reply and Jack sighed, knowing he should have seen that coming.
“So what did you drive that far for then huh?” Hiccup asked, appearing genuinely curious.
“The guys was selling a huge collection of vintage records! Including the entire works of the Beatles signed by the band! He wanted to meet in person because he wanted to make sure they were going to someone who really appreciated them. Quizzed me for like and hour before he’d let me take them.”
“Really? You have to let me listen to some of them sometime.” Astrid insisted, much to Jack’s surprise.
“Really? I didn’t take you for a fan.”
“Oh yeah, my dad has a whole bunch of them and would play them when I was little so I grew up listening to all the classics.”
“Sure thing, we’ll have to find time for that.”
“So I assume that’s why you don’t have your car?” Hiccup asked when Jack and Astrid finished.
“Yeah, I had asked Sandy to come over to cover for me, but my mom caught me sneaking in while she was on a conference call. Stupid international business hours.”
“I thought some of the people in charge of the group homes could yell, but oh because, because, because, god damn it, but oh b-o-y was I wrong. Sorry, this newest update is a large improvement, but it still has some bugs obviously.”
“I still think they are pretty amazing like, who even comes up with an idea like that?” Astrid commented.
“Incredibly smart people who probably knew someone who needed it.” Jack said from the front seat.
“Or someone got tired of writing things down for people who do not know sign language. I would guess it was that one.” Said Sandy which made everyone laugh.
“Yeah, it was a pain trying to actually talk with Sandy when I didn’t know sign language.” Jack remarked casually.
“Wait you actually know sign language? You never mentioned that.” Hiccup asked, interested.
“Jack begged me to teach him soon after we met. It was rather sweet.”
“Really? Taking on all that work? Doesn’t sound like the slacker I know.” Hiccup teased.
“It probably helped his motivation that he had a crush on me.” Sandy grinned maliciously as the words came out of his speaker.
“Dude!” Jack exclaimed incredulously.
“You had a crush on Sandy?” Astrid asked, sounding amused. Hiccup too wanted to know more, for entirely un-jealousy related reasons of course.
“Well yeah,” Jack started sheepishly before getting defensive “but I was like twelve! And he was my only friend.”
“It was very cute.”
“Remind me why I invited you again?” The irritation ins Jack’s voice was playful.
“Witty stories and my winning personality.” Sandy responded without missing a beat. “Also guilt because you were ignoring me.”
“You were getting ignored too? Glad to know I wasn’t the only one.” Astrid piped in.
“We should have left them behind.” Jack stage whispered to Hiccup who answered in the same way.
“Yeah, what was I thinking?” Both Jack and Hiccup laughed at the insulted noise and rude gesture that came from the back seat.
**********************************************
“So where to now?” Jack asked as the group stepped out of the primate house and into the bright afternoon sun.
“Lets see
” Hiccup muttered, consulting a slightly crumpled map “Oh, we haven’t seen the ‘Waterways of the World’ building. That sounds interesting.”
“Ooh that one’s got fish and those kinds of things from all over, there’s this one thats just
well I’ll let you see it.” Hiccup smiled at Jack’s enthusiasm. His excitement had been infectious their entire trip making the already enjoyable trip that much more fun. Jack noticed Hiccup staring at him and gave him such a genuine smile that his own small smile grew to mirror it. Hiccup looked away, feeling his cheeks warming slightly.
“I swear, the two of you are sickeningly adorable together,” Astrid remarked, having obviously observed the entire scene. Hiccup’s face shifted to alarm as he glanced around to see if anyone had overheard.
“Calm down,” Jack nudged Hiccup with his shoulder “were an hour away from your dad or anybody who knows him.”
“In the middle of a zoo! All it takes is one person, its not worth it.” Hiccup closed his eyes as soon as he finished, knowing he’d said the wrong thing. He tentatively looked at Jack who’s smile was smaller and more subdued now.
“Your right.” He said simply as he turned and lead the group off to their next exhibit.
The Waterways of the World exhibit did prove to be fun, in no small part thanks to Jack who had gotten his excitement back as soon as they entered the dark building lit almost exclusively by the giant tanks that lined the walls. Hiccup enjoyed see all the different kinds of fish and other underwater life almost as much as he enjoyed watching Jack’s excitement at showing them the next tank. His favorite fish turned out to be a seven foot monstrosity that looked like somebody had sewn the head of an alligator onto a particularly large fish body. Hiccup’s favorite was a small tank set into a wall filled with tiny fish no bigger then a quarter that came in every color of the rainbow. The swirling multicolor mass was mesmerizing to watch.
By the time they were leaving the exhibit everyone was smiling again, laughing at a comment Jack made about one of the fish’s resemblance to one of their teachers. They were all left blinking in the sun after the darkness of the Waterways of the World building as Hiccup dug into his pocket for the map again.
“Hey look at that! I didn’t know they still had these things.” Jack was walking over to a set of bright red photo booths tucked away in a shady corner around the side of the building they’d just left.
“Oh wow, I thought the phone camera kinda killed these.” Astrid was saying as the rest of them walked over.
“Hey,” Jack started to say as he looked at Hiccup excitedly. Hiccup bit his lower lip and looked around apprehensively. When he looked back at Jack he felt guilty to see the other boy frowning. “Come on!” Jack said suddenly and grabbed Sandy by the hand pulling him toward a booth. “This is way more fun than taking pictures on a phone.” Sandy looked helplessly from Hiccup and Astrid as he was pulled into the booth. A couple minutes passed and a they emerged from the booth holding a strip of photos showing the two of them making weird faces at the camera before devolving into a fit of giggles. “See? Told you it would be way more fun. Your turn!” Jack trilled gleefully as he pulled an unsuspecting Astrid into the photo booth with him. A minute of laughing and several muffled exclamations of pain later the both emerged, Jack rubbing his shoulder while Astrid held their photo reel. The small pictures showed the two of them posing for the picture, Jack kissing Astrid in the cheek, Astrid’s surprised expression, and then several of Jack in a headlock.
“You should get those framed!” Hiccup laughed as he looked over the pictures.
“Don’t think your getting out of this!” Jack practically threatened as he lunged for Hiccup and pulled him into the photo booth.
“You’ve got a death wish.” Hiccup smirked, brandishing the photos he was still holding.
“It was worth it to get you in here without raising suspicion.” Jack smiled back, clearly quite proud of himself.
“Very Clever.” Hiccup snarked then, more earnestly, he continued. “Thank you. Its not that I don’t want to do this stuff with you.”
“I know Hiccup, and I understand.”
“Because I really do. Want to do stuff like this I mean. I just wish I-” Jack interrupted Hiccup’s pseudo-apology by putting a finger over his lips.
“I know, but the most important thing to me is that you’re comfortable.” Hiccup swallowed suddenly nervous as he was overwhelmed by now familiar emotions that he still didn’t entirely understand, all directed at the boy smiling earnestly at him in the suddenly very small booth. He opened his mouth to say what he wasn’t quite sure-no, he knew exactly what he wanted to say, had wanted to say since he’d nearly blurted it out after his first weekend with Jack’s, but the words stuck in his throat just like they had every time since then.
“Alright,” Jack was saying as he swiped a credit card in the booth’s little control panel and pressed a couple buttons. “It will count down and then we just do whatever for the pictures. Hiccup?” Jack turned to look at Hiccup who was still staring at him open mouthed. As soon as Jack’s face was turned toward him Hiccup leaned forward and kiss him, pulling Jack even closer to him in the already small booth. The kiss was short but intense and when they broke apart Jack was looking at Hiccup with a surprised grin. “What was that for?” he whispered.
“For being you.” Hiccup whispered back, bringing a hand up to brush Jack’s cheek gently.
The moment was interrupted then by a loud buzzing sound as the booth dispensed their photos which showed the two of them kissing furiously and then pulling apart and gazing at one another.
“Ooops,” Jack couldn’t hide his guilty grin as he evaluated the pictures. “Don’t worry, I’ll get rid of these.”
“No!” Hiccup practically shouted, surprising both Jack and himself. “No,” he said again at a more normal volume “I’ll take them.” Jack look at him for a moment then smiled and nodded. Leaning over he gave Hiccup a light peck on the lips and then slipped out of the booth. Hiccup stared after him, clutching the photo strip gently in his hand, and wondered how he had fallen so in love with someone he’d only known for a month.
*************************************************
“How was the Zoo?” Stoick asked as Hiccup walked through the front door, muting the TV and heaving himself out of his chair.
“It was fun.” Hiccup was smiling as he put his shoes away and went to the kitchen to get himself something to drink.
“That’s good. Some more college brochures came for you today, I put them up on your desk.”
“Oh, thanks dad. I’ll take a look at them.”
“Whatch you got there?” Stoick gestured at the small box Hiccup was carrying.
“Oh,” Hiccup raised the box so his father could see the cover which sported a model of a blue and white dragon. “I got this from the zoo’s gift shop.” That wasn’t entirely true. Jack had gotten it for him after seeing him eying it when they went into the shop just for fun. Hiccup would have protested, but Jack had somehow bought it without him seeing and surprised him with it in the car.
“Really? Thats great!” Hiccup was surprised at how excited his father was over the simple model. “Why don’t you crack it open and we can take a look at it?” Stoick took a step toward Hiccup and it took all Hiccup had not to jerk the box away while his stomach twisted violently as he thought of the photo strip hidden within it.
“No!” he said a bit louder than he intended. Hiccup felt bad as his father’s face fell. “I’m pretty tired already and I’ve got homework still. We could work in it tomorrow?” Hiccup amended.
“I’d like that.” Stoick practically beamed after Hiccup as he made a hasty get away to his room.
The moment he closed the door behind him he opened the box, took out the photo strip, and hid it in the first place he could think of which ended up being his pillowcase. With the photos hidden away he finally let himself breath normally again and wondered why he had ever decided to keep them in the first place. If he father ever found them, well he didn’t want to think about what would happen in that scenario. Sighing deeply he sat down at his desk and pulled out his heavy chemistry book to start on his homework.
The assignment was difficult and before Hiccup knew it his father was coming in to say goodnight which Hiccup returned absentmindedly, stuck in the middle of figuring out a complex chemical reaction. By the time he finished his homework it was nearly midnight and Hiccup was exhausted. He stood up to go get a drink of water before bed when he noticed the flashing of his phone from where he had put it on his bedside table. Evidently he had silenced it at some point and not realized it as well because when he opened it he saw several missed texts from Jack.
Jack: Hey :) I had a really great time with you today. You going to be busy tomorrow?
Jack: Hey would you wanna come over next weekend? I can have my mom call and invite you?
Jack: Your a butt.
Jack: You can’t ignore me forever!
Jack: Seriously I’ll just blow up your phone. You have been warned! >:D
Jack: HEY!
Jack: HEY!
Jack: HEY!
Jack: HEY!
Jack: HEY!
Jack: HEY!
Jack: HEY!
Jack: HEY!
Jack: Hiccup? I’m getting kind of concerned now. Is everything ok?
Hiccup felt guilty as he saw that two missed calls from Jack had come in after his last text and he responded as quick as he could
Hiccup: Sorry! I silenced my phone apparently and was busy doing homework >.< I had a really good time with you today too :) and I’d love to come over this weekend. Hiccup was only halfway to the kitchen when Jack’s responses came in.
Jack: Homework

Jack: HOMEWORK?!
Jack: YOU IGNORED ME, THE FANTASTIC JACK FROST, FOR *HOMEWORK*?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Jack: I take that as a DIRECT ASSAULT ON MY HONOR!
Hiccup covered his mouth as he laughed so he wouldn’t wake his dad.
Hiccup: It wasn’t on purpose. You are much more interesting than chemical formulas I promise.
Jack: I should hope so! Although if the most you can say for me is “more interesting than chemical formulas” then I need to reevaluate my choices because I’ve done something horribly wrong!
Hiccup: I did say “much more”
Jack: Oh, “much more” well my mistake, that is high praise
Hiccup: Damn straight! You better be grateful.
Jack: Oh I am, I fall to my knees before you and praise your kindness.
Jack: And while I’m down here
 ;P
Hiccup blushed as he walked back to his room, glancing around to be sure his father hadn’t materialized out of the darkness over his shoulder to read his texts.
Hiccup: You are such a perv!
Jack: Am not! I’m just a mortal man who’s no match for your temptation.
Hiccup: What do you mean my temptation? Last I checked I was insulting you.
Jack: Your very presence is a temptation!
Hiccup: I’m nowhere near you

Jack: STOP OVER THINKING THINGS I AM TRYING TO FLIRT!
Hiccup: Oh is that what that was?
Jack:
wow, mean!
Hiccup: ;P
Hiccup: I’m sorry, you are an excellent flirter and I’m completely head over heals for you.
Jack: Tell me something I don’t know :P
Hiccup:
I’m going to bed
Jack: No don’t go I’m sorry!
Hiccup: Ha, its fine. I really am tired though, so I am going to go to bed.
Jack: :( fiiiiiiiiine
Jack: Goodnight Hiccup :) sweet dreams!
Hiccup: Goodnight Jack, I’ll talk to you tomorrow :)
Hiccup was smiling as he stripped off his cloths and slipped into bed, nestling his head into his pillow, only to feel the corner of something hard poking him in the cheek. The photo strip, he’d completely forgotten about it. Pulling it out of his pillowcase he looked at the images, looked at Jack kissing him and the look in his face when they’d broken apart and he remembered kissing him then, and other times. His mind now running away he remembered Jack’s joke and thought about that white hair level with his waste as Jack knelt in front of him. He could feel himself responding and he reached down under the covers. His thoughts continued down the same pathways as he played with himself, glancing now and then at the pictures still in his other hand. Feeling suddenly daring and reckless Hiccup put the photo strip down on his bedside table and grabbed his phone. The night air was chilly as he pulled down his blankets to expose his erection. Fumbling slightly with his phone Hiccup snapped a picture of himself and worked to sent it before whatever this excitement was deserted him.
Hiccup: Trying to sleep but I keep thinking of you on your knees.

Hiccup lay there grinning and giggling, hardly able to believe what he’d just done, as he resumed where he’d left off, holding his phone in his other hand, anxious to see Jack’s reaction. He didn’t have to wait long as his phone buzzed less than a minute later showing Jack’s name.
Jack: Hiccup! You naughty naughty boy! Now look what you’ve gone and done!
     Attachment - Img2296
Hiccup swallowed as he opened the attachment and found a picture of Jack holding his own erection, it standing in stark contrast with the darkness of Jack’s room behind it. Hiccup felt his whole body flush with heat and he started moving his hand faster as he looked at the picture and thought about last time he’d seen it in the flesh. He was getting close when his phone bussed again, somewhat unexpectedly.
Jack: You’ve got quite the mess to clean up over here.
     Attachment - Img2297
Hiccup opened the attachment and wasn’t surprised to see a wide shot of Jack’s chest and lower body. His dick lying spent against his stomach with shiny wet patches splattered all over his stomach and chest. That was the limit for Hiccup who closed his eyes tight as he climaxed, moving his phone safely out of the splash zone. Several moments later he lay there panting, his softening dick still in his hand. Grinning mischievously he pulled his legs out from under his blankets, careful to move his upper body as little as possible, so he lay completely exposed on top of his covers. Bringing his phone back in front of him he snapped a picture of his freckled chest and stomach covered with his own come.
Hiccup: How about we just call it even?
       Attachment - Img7
Jack: Hah, fair enough.
Jack: Sooo, I’m just gonna say it, that was really hot.
Hiccup: Agreed.
Jack: What exactly brought it on? If you don’t mind me asking.
Hiccup: I’m not sure exactly.
Hiccup was quickly coming off the post orgasm high and thinking about his actions. While Jack was right, that had been incredibly hot, it had also been pretty dumb. For starters he and Jack were both still seventeen, so technically taking and sending those pictures was a felony. Second, he really didn’t want pictures of his penis out their in the world. Not that he thought Jack would ever betray his trust and share them, even if they ended up braking up someday, bit still it was a bad idea. He would ask Jack to delete them the next time he saw him, and let Jack see him delete the photos to, if he wanted to risk having them on his phone that long.
That thought made Hiccup think of other photos that were risky to keep around. He looked over at the photo strip. He should just get rid of them. Tear them up and throw them away, or maybe set them on fire just to be sure. Neither of those ideas appealed to him though. For whatever reason, he wanted to keep the strip of little photos.
“Either way, I need to get cleaned up.” He mumbled to himself as he slid off his bed, taking care not to smear himself on any of his bedding. Cracking his door open he peaked out and, when he was sure his father was still asleep, sprinted across the hallway and into the bathroom where he did the best job he could cleaning himself up. He had started to dry in places and what he really needed was a shower, but that might wake his dad and frankly he was to tired for that right now so he made do with damp toilet paper. Sneaking back into his room he saw Jack had text him back.
Jack: Well whatever it was hold on to it for next weekend! ;P
Hiccup: Hah, go to bed you perv.
Jack: Psh, you don’t get to call me a perv anymore! Goodnight :) *hugs*
Hiccup: I’ll call you whatever I want! *hugs* Goodnight :)
Putting his phone down Hiccup once again looked at the photo strip. He did want to keep it, but he couldn’t risk his father finding it. Thinking for a long time he finally got out of bed again slipped on his pants and snuck down to the kitchen, and grabbed a role of duct tape from the junk drawer. Back in his room Hiccup closed his door behind himself and grabbed a sheet of scrap paper from his homework. Folding it he created a little envelop with the duct tape which he slipped the photo strip into. Lying down on his back he eased open the bottommost door on his desk and taped the makeshift envelop to the underside of it. He slowly closed and opened it several times to be sure it didn’t stick then nodded in satisfaction. There should be no way his father would ever find them now.
Getting back to his feet Hiccup stripped of his pants, slid back into the warmth of his bed, and fell asleep almost immediately.

Guardian Chapter 19
Well it has certainly been awhile hasn’t it? Sorry about that, things have been insanely busy around here with my last semester of college and graduating and all the things that go along with that! But of course you're here for this long overdue chapter! I’ll put a bit of a personal update at the end of it for those that are interested. Hope you enjoy this one!
Astrid: So how was your weekend with tall pale and handsome? Hiccup: Astrid I’m trying to finish my homework before it gets any later. Astrid: I didn’t text or call you once all weekend! I’ve been good, I deserve answers! How was it? What’s his family like? Hiccup wasn’t sure how to answer the question. He was still in the process of trying to work that out for himself now that he was home and could look back on the events of the weekend subjectively. After some time he decided to just tell Astrid the truth. Perhaps she could help him work it all out. Hiccup: Honestly? It was like a dream. Astrid: Wow, not like you to get all sappy Hiccup :P Is Jack melting your sarcastic jaded shell? Hiccup: I was being serious. It was so weird and different, I almost can’t believe it actually happened? Astrid: What on earth happened this weekend? Your talking like he took you through his closet to Narnia. Hiccup: Nothing that extreme. It was just things like, okay so Aster, Jack’s brother, and his boyfriend bicker all the time, and joke about sex and stuff, and the rest of the family either just ignores it or joins in! And its not weird! Which really is the weird part. Astrid: So they are a lot more laid back and open than your dad? I think that was kinda already assumed. Hiccup: I guess. It was just so comfortable? Comfortable is a good word for it, and I just felt so comfortable there. Like I didn’t really feel self conscious, at least not too much, not even when we were naked. Hiccup hit send and then immediately regretted it as he saw what he had sent. He’d just been talking his thoughts through and didn’t really think about what he was saying. Oh well, can’t undo it now. He braced for Astrid’s texts. Astrid: WHEN WERE YOU NAKED?!?! Astrid: I thought you said that you weren’t ready for sex?! Astrid: Did he pressure you into something? I swear if he did I’ll kill him for you. Hiccup: No Astrid don’t kill him, that would make me very sad. He didn’t pressure me into anything. Besides, we didn’t really have sex, not really. Astrid: How do you ‘not really’ have sex? Hiccup: Well I mean, there was a lot of, uh, rubbing, and like thrusting? But nothing actually went *in* anything. Hiccup: God I can’t believe I just typed that
Astrid: Yeah me neither. :P My little Hiccup is growing up so fast! Soon you’ll be married and living together and maybe even putting things in other things! Hiccup: OH MY GOD ASTRID can you STOP?! Astrid: Why? Its obvious you have a good time and its fun to tease you about things that make you happy. Mostly because its good to see you happy. Hiccup: I did have a good time, as crazy as it was. It almost feels weird being back home now. Getting back to the way things usually are. Astrid: Well if life on the real world is so dull you’ll just have to go back wont’ you? Any plans to go back? Hiccup: I did get invited back whenever I want, so I guess I’ll have to just makes plans mostly. Maybe next weekend, I’ll have to ask Jack. Astrid: You should get him to invite me too! I don’t have anything next weekend and I miss you. Hiccup: I don’t know, he might not want to. Astrid: What? Why not? Hiccup: His family are pretty private. It wasn’t technically a lie but Hiccup still felt bad saying it, still he wasn’t about to tell Astrid the truth about Jack’s family, at least not without his express permission. He knew that she probably wouldn’t treat Jack any different, but it was Jack’s business who he told and who he didn’t. He did feel bad though that he hadn’t really seen Astrid in a while and he didn’t want to become one of those people who ditched their friends as soon as they started dating someone. Astrid: Lame. Fine, abandon me for your boy-toy. Hiccup: OMG Astrid he is not a boy toy! Astrid: Looks good enough to be one. At least I assume the rest of him does based off what I’ve seen. Hiccup: Wow, I’m surprised at you young lady! It is completely none of your business how incredibly hot Jack is or is not without clothes on. Astrid: Your right, thats between you, him, and your dick. Hiccup: ASTRID! Astrid: What? Am I wrong? Besides, based on what you said your dick rather likes him. ;P Hiccup: You are ridiculous. And I need to get to bed now, its already later than I wanted to be up, school in the morning is going to such. Astrid: School always sucks. Its school, thats like 50% of its job. Hiccup: Yes so lets not add being tired on top of that. Astrid: Fine fine. I’ll see you in art tomorrow. Hiccup: See you then! Goodnight Astrid. Astrid: Goodnight Hiccup. I’m glad you had a good weekend :) Hiccup smiled as he get up from his desk, having finished the last of his make up work while texting Astrid. As he was getting ready for bed he text Jack goodnight and smiled at Jack’s response. Hiccup had slipped into bed and was just about to put his phone on his nightstand to charge when he thought about the texts he had sent to Astrid. Feeling suddenly nervous he pulled up the conversation and started checking off texts to delete, trying to make the conversation seem more innocent, and failing, so that in the end he just deleted the entire conversation. Deleting the texts left him feeling slightly guilty, like he had done something wrong, which was crazy because all he had done was delete some texts, people did that all the time. Except Hiccup didn’t delete his texts, he just let them sit until his phone automatically deleted them save for a few important messages he had marked for his phone to save. Pushing the ridiculous feelings of guilt form his mind Hiccup plugged in his phone charger and curled into bed, hoping for a restful night before school tomorrow. If there was a more perfect representation of Hiccup’s transition from the world of the weekend back to his real life, it was that day at school. He had a pop quiz in physics which he was pretty sure that he failed, still trying to completely catch up on what he had missed during his hospital stay and then what hadn’t made sense since he had missed things. His clay in art class has dried out and cracked around the tail of the dragon he was sculpting which meant he spent the entire class trying to fix it instead of actually moving forward on the project. The worst part of the day, however, came at the very end when things should have been looking up, as he waited for Jack by the door near the school gym. Snotlout and a couple cronies came around the corner and the bulky teen got a predatory sneer spotting Hiccup without Astrid nearby. “Whatcha doing over here Fuckup? Waiting for your boyfriend?” Hiccup’s breath caught in his throat as his stomach fell through his feet. His face felt suddenly warm and the world seemed to be spinning around him. He wanted desperately to make some clever quip or snarky remark that would counter what Snotlout had just said, but his brain refused to focus on anything other than panic at the moment. “What?” Hiccup finally managed lamely after several long, agonizing moments. “Frost, everyone saw you and him get into that fancy car on Friday! The two of you heading off to see your sugar daddy?” Hiccup’s mouth was to dry and his knees felt like they were going to give out under him as his brain searched desperately for something to say. He tried to force his rebellious body into line to do something, anything, to refute Snotlout’s claim and make this all go away, but he couldn’t. “You know, if you wanted to know if I was single you could have just asked.” Hiccup could have cried as he heard Jack’s voice a moment before his white hair came into view from the door to the gym changing room. “Although I don’t really go for the frumpy asshole type, so I think I’ll just stay single for now, thanks.” Jack walked past Snotlout, who sputtered in response, and to Hiccup where he leaned up against the wall casually putting several feet between himself and the brunette. “Astrid should be out in a minute.” He said to Hiccup as an afterthought. Hiccup nodded dumbly. “Yeah, I suppose Frost’s to cool for you even as fags go, huh Fuckup?” He sneered at Hiccup as he turned to leave. Hiccup snuck a sidelong glace at Jack, who looked for all the world like he hadn’t even heard Snotlout, but Hiccup knew better. He could see the hard set of Jack’s shoulder’s and the forced casualness of his expression. “Did I hear what I think I just heard?” Astrid whispered to the two of them as she came out of the girls locker room a moment later. “Please just leave it Astrid.” Hiccup whispered back, turning to toward the door and away from the terrible day. “I’m not going to let him just-” Astrid started but Jack cut her off, his voice hard. “Leave it. If you do something about it then you’ll just lend credence to what he’s saying. He said that at me, and most of the football team at least suspect I’m gay. So just leave it be.” Astrid looked like she wanted to protest but then thought better of it and nodded her accent. The walk to Hiccup’s house was a quiet and tense affair. Astrid tried to engage either Hiccup or Jack in conversation a couple times but gave up when they only gave simple one or two words answers. She said goodbye to them when their paths home parted ways and Hiccup and Jack were left to walk in silence the rest of the way, Hiccup trying desperately to keep his growing sense of panic under control at least until he got home. The moment the pair were in the house with the door closed behind them Hiccup let his backpack fall from his shoulder and sank into a chair, burring his face in his hands. “Oh god
” he mumbled. “What’s wrong?” Jack asked, his voice harsher than it usually was. “What’s wrong? What do you mean whats wrong?! You head Snotlout, what he said! What if he starts spreading rumors around the school? What if people start believing them? What if-” “Whoa whoa, slow down Hiccup. Snotlout made some stupid comment because he’s and ass, and because he’s probably still mad about the black eye. Thats it.” “You heard him, people saw us get into Pitch’s car together, and they are talking about it!” “Yeah, because people can’t possible get into the same car unless their dating. Its not that bad Hiccup you-” Hiccup cut Jack of, his voice going slightly hysterical. “Not that bad?! Snotlout called you my boyfriend! This is terrible! We need to be more careful, not be seen together as much and-” Hiccup stopped as he caught sight of Jack’s face, which had gone black at his statement and was not creasing with anger. “I am your boyfriend, aren’t I?” Jack’s voice was quiet despite the anger on his face. “Yes pf course you are Jack, but people at school can’t know were together-” “Because its terrible.” Jack cut Hiccup off, his voice hard. ‘What? No its not-that not what I meant. I just meant that-” “I know what you meant.” “Do you? Because my dad works with some of the parents of kids from school. What if-” “Oh yeah, because so many kids share gossip with their parents and then they go straight to their jobs and tell all their coworkers.” Jack’s voice was loud and mocking. “Look, I threw Snotlout off the trail so don’t worry about it anymore.” Jack’s voice was more normal, though still angry, as he continued. “Yeah, and he called you a fag Jack! He’s going to start telling people your gay!” It was Hiccup’s turn to raise his voice. “SO?!” Jack shouted, his anger rising fully now. “What do I care? I AM GAY! And I don’t care if Snotlout or any of his stupid friends think I’m a fag!” “What about me the huh? What will people think about the guy who suddenly starts spending all his time with the fag?” Hiccup sneered out the last word the same way he’d heard from his father in the past and then started, one hand going up to cover his mouth. Jack’s face fell, his expression flat and emotionless as he turned and picked his book-bag off the ground from where he’d left it. “Jack where are you going?” Hiccup asked, his voice quiet and slightly frantic. “To go scout out some dead drops, that way you won’t have to be seen interacting with the fag!” Jack shouted before jerking the door open, stepping through, and slamming it shut behind him. ************************************************ Jack stalked down the street, half growling half talking to himself, his arms flailing angrily as thought about everything that had just been said. This was exactly why he hadn’t wanted to date someone in the closet! Their first date was just barely a week ago and already they were fighting over it. And it wasn’t even that big of a thing either! Not like Hiccup’s father had nearly caught them because Jack did something stupid or Jack wanted Hiccup to go to prom with him or something like that. It had just been Snotlout being a dick-head and trying to get under their skin. Jack though about the way Hiccup had said ‘fag’ and he had to take a deep breath. Jack could only imagine that that was the way Hiccup had always heard the world, probably from his father. That that was the way that Hiccup has terrified of having his father shouting it at him. Because now that Jack had a moment to think back it was pretty clear that Hiccup had been terrified by the whole situation. Jack slowed to stop as his anger started to abate as he thought about how Hiccup must have felt from the moment Snotlout started harassing him, and how he was probably feeling now, and Jack himself felt like a complete ass. He turned back toward Hiccup’s and had to force himself not to run as he backtracked the three block’s had gone before calming down. When he reached to door he knocked tentatively and when nobody answered knocked a little louder, suddenly worried that Hiccup would just let him stay out here until he got the hint and went away. He wouldn’t really blame him if he did either, Jack wasn’t sure he’d want to see himself at the moment were he in Hiccup’s position. The door opened to reveal Hiccup standing there, two lines of tears running down his face and his eyes already red. He sniffed as he glanced up at Jack furtively, as though he were scared to look him in the eye. With an incredible force of will Jack made himself wait until he had stepped into the house and closed the door behind himself before reaching out for Hiccup who fell into his arms, his whole body shuddering with mostly silent sobs. “Oh Hiccup,” Jack whispered quietly, holding the other boy to him protectively and rubbing small circles in the small of his back. “I’m so sorry Hiccup, I’m so so sorry.” He continued, his own voice thick with emotion at this point. “No I-I-I’m sorry Jack.” Hiccup stammered out. “I’m so sorry I s-said that, I didn’t m-mean it.” “I know Hic, I know. I didn’t mean to act the way I acted either. I was an ass.” “Were were both asses.” Hiccup replied, getting some control over his breathing now. “Fair enough. Both asses who are both sorry for being asses.” “Very sorry,” Hiccup agreed. Jack smiled and pressed a kiss on the top of Hiccup’s head. They stood there for several more minutes until Jack gave Hiccup a particularly hard squeeze and said “I have an idea.” Without any other warning he scooped Hiccup up and carried the squawking teen through the house and down the stairs, depositing him gently on a couch. “Lets pick something to watch. Homework can wait for a bit.” Hiccup nodded in agreement and helped Jack pick out one of the Harry Potter movies from where he sat on the couch. Jack put the movie in and sat down on the couch, pulling Hiccup close to him which Hiccup did not object to. With Hiccup’s head lying against his chest and his arms wrapped around the smaller boy Jack could almost forget about everything that had happened, but as the movie came to a close he knew he the couldn’t just leave things. “So what sort of things were you thinking about changing?” “What? Oh no Jack, no no I didn’t mean that I-” Hiccup stammered, suddenly panicking. “Yes you did. You didn’t mean for it to hurt me, but you meant it at least in some way.” “We don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to,” Hiccup said earnestly, his expression apprehensive. “What I want is for you to be happy, and if that means going the extra step to keep your father in the dark then I’m willing to do that.” Jack said, hoping he sounded as sincere as he wanted to. He might not be particularly happy with the idea of hiding his relationship with Hiccup but he understood even better now why he needed to, and that was something he was willing to do for Hiccup. “Well, just a couple ideas I had.” Hiccup said after a moment. In the end they decided that he and Hiccup would leave school from different exists and take different routs to his house whenever Jack was coming over, and that any time they were being picked up from school it would be away from the main parking lot (something Jack already did anyway). Hiccup also asked Jack to not be as open at school which he agreed to grudgingly. He didn’t want to lie to people, but he could be okay with not really broadcasting himself either. All things said and done it was a pretty reasonable list. Jack’s mind had come up will all sorts of crazy worst case scenarios like Hiccup suggesting one of them pretend to date Astrid or something like that. That discussion over they reluctantly let go of one another and headed upstairs to start working on homework before Hiccup’s father returned. “Oh hey, do you think would could plan something for this weekend and invite Astrid along? She’s pointed out that I have kinda been ignoring her since out first date.” Hiccup asked as they were slogging through their English assignment. “Uh, sure,” Jack said surprised, but liking the idea at once. “I can invite Sandy too, then we can both assuage out guilt and neither of them will feel like a third wheel.” “Oh that sounds fun, good idea. What do you think we should do?” Hiccup sounded genuinely happy and hearing that tone in his voice after everything that had happened that day brought a smile to Jack’s face. “Hmmm, how do you feel about zoos?” Jack asked. “Zoos can be fun, as long as they aren’t one of those ones that just puts animals in little boxes their whole lives.” “Yeah no screw those places. I mean like a real zoo.” “I haven’t been to a Zoo in years.” “The zoo it is then!” Jack grinned and blew a kiss across the room to Hiccup where he sat at his desk as usual. “I can’t wait.” Hiccup said with a grin, blowing Jack a kiss in return which just made Jack smile brighter.
Hope everyone enjoyed that chapter :) Now for a brief personal update. Like I mentioned above, I officially graduated college in May, which means that should really be sinking in any day now, or so I’m told. I’ve had all the financial stuff that that entails to get in order (yay soul crushing student loans!!!!) and we have been doing a lot to improve our house in the last couple months which has kept me pretty busy. Other than that I’ve been working a *lot* on that novel I mentioned the last time I posted a chapter, which is the main reason that this chapter is coming now and not a bit earlier. Going forward I’m going to spending a bit more time with Guardian, because I find it helps to take a step back from something now and then when you are writing. With that in mind, I hope to have more chapters out on a more reasonable time frame, and because I’ve gotten some concerned messages recently, I want to just say again that I won’t be abandoning Guardian. That is a promise! Anyway enough rambling! My sincere thanks to everyone who reads this story, and likes or reblogs or shares or whatever you do on the site you're reading this on. Thanks you to the people who comment and send wonderful messages asking about it! You guys are the reason that I keep writing and whenever I get discouraged I come back and read all the things you amazing people say! So I really mean it when I say that I love all of you, and I’ll take with you next time!

Guardian Chapter 18
Hey! Guess who’s not dead! I feel like I say that so much it should just be my catch phrase at this point. Quick heads up, there’s a bit of an author’s note/house keeping thing at the end of the chapter if you are interested in what happening with me and stuff. Anywho, I hope you enjoy my darlings!
Jack blinked his eyes slowly as he awoke the next morning, his sleep-muddled brain trying to make sense of the unfamiliar weight radiating warmth pressed against his side. He turned his head and came face to face with a pair a bright green eyes set in a familiar freckled face. Memories of the previous night came rushing back to the forefront of his mind and he smiled.
“Well hello there handsome.”
Hiccup’s lips pulled up into a smile as he looked at Jack “Good morning sleeping beauty.”
Jack cocked an eyebrow quizzically “And what exactly is that supposed to mean?”
“That if you slept much longer I was going to go find a bucket of ice water.”
“Why didn’t you wake me?”
Hiccup shrugged “Didn’t really see a reason to.”
“What have you been doing while I’ve been snoring?”
“Lying here, enjoying myself, thinking about last night.”
Hiccup’s voice seemed innocent enough, but there was an undertone of suggestiveness that had Jack smirking. Jack had just woken up and so was standing at attention ready for round 2 from last night, and Hiccup’s position pressed against him told Jack that the other boy was in a similar position. “Oh?” Jack questioned pointedly. “And what exactly were you thinking about last night hmm.”
“I’ve been thinking that I’m such a whore.”
Jack choked out a laugh, “Excuse me?”
“Or is it a slut? Which one gets paid and which does it for fun?”
“You’re not a slut.”
“I don’t know, here I am sleeping with a guy after like a week of dating, seems pretty slutty to me.”
“First off, a slut is someone who has sex in a way you don’t approve of, so it's like impossible to call yourself a slut and second, you’re not a slut. You,” Jack’s voice gained a pointedly sensual tone as he rolled over onto his hands and knees so that he was looking down at Hiccup “are my exceptionally sexy boyfriend who can do whatever he wants, and fuck anybody who said otherwise.”
“Oh? And what if I say otherwise?” Jack blinked down at Hiccup in surprise as the brunette began to blush at his own.
“Why what a dirty mind you have Hiccup! I’m I corrupting you?” Jack said in mock shock as he leaned down and pressed his lips to Hiccup’s.
“And what if,” Hiccup said between kisses “you are?” Jack grinned into their kiss and leaned his head back, deepening it. A repeat performance of the previous evening quickly followed suite and left both boys breathing heavily and grinning broadly. Jack was just getting up to retrieve the towel from where it had been thrown the previous evening when his phone chimed. Tossing Hiccup the towel he snatched up his phone and check the message.
Mom: Breakfast in 20 minutes. Shower first, both of you. Smirking he tapped out a response.
Jack: If we both shower we’ll need more than 20 minutes. Jack finished typing as he slipped back into the bed with Hiccup and he was caught what Jack had typed right before he sent it.
“Oh my god Jack.” Hiccup shook his head incredulously. "I can't believe you just said that to your mom."
“Really? Seems exactly like the kind of thing that I would do.” Jack joked. He was about to say something more when his phone chimed again and he checked the message, Hiccup looking over his shoulder. The freckled teen let out a bark of laughter while Jack flushed.
Mom: I very much doubt that sweety.
“My god mom.” Zach sighed as his own faint blush mirrored hiccup’s as they read the text.
“Well we should probably get ready for breakfast, I doubt we want you mom coming to get us.”
“She wouldn’t come get us, she’d probably send Aster, which would be much worse,” Jack commented as he pulled himself out of bed, offering his had to Hiccup and helping the gangly teen to his feet. “After you.” Jack gestured toward the bathroom.
“Well, what a gentleman,” Hiccup joked as he headed toward the bathroom.
“Of course, I’m always a gentleman. Plus its lets me stare at your ass on the way.” Jack laughed and hopped out of the way as Hiccup turned and swatted at him.
Hiccup still couldn’t quite wrap his head around everything that had happened since he arrived at the North home, and everything that was still happening. He, Hiccup Haddock, the introverted, socially awkward, deeply closeted boy was currently standing naked in front of an absolutely gorgeous guy who he’d recently had sex with -sort of. That fact alone was almost incomprehensible to the freckled teen, but even more baffling was the fact that he wasn’t feeling self-conscious or awkward or embarrassed or anything that he would have expected to be feeling. Whatever this strange effect that was preventing him from feeling what he would usually have felt if he were standing naked in front of someone else, Hiccup hoped it remained at least long enough for them to shower. It did.
The pair of them got into the shower together but only after Hiccup extracted a promise from Jack that he would behave himself, which he did for the most part. There may have been some making out under the steaming water, but Hiccup had to admit he was just as much as fault for that as Jack so he let it slide. In fact, if Hiccup wasn’t worried about taking to long and having Aster sent up after them he may have been the one misbehaving, his newly awakened teenage libido was certainly ready for another round. With an effort he was able to resist the considerable temptation, thought it was very clear throughout the shower just how ready for another round both he and Jack were, a fact that made soaping up a risky affair to say the least. Still, they managed to make good time showering and, after toweling off and getting dressed, made it to the kitchen only three minutes late.
“There you two are, I was just about to send Aster to get you,” Anna said from the kitchen where she and Pitch were piling various breakfast foods onto several plates. The smell coming from the kitchen smelled amazing and Hiccup said as much as he took a seat at the table with Jack, Aster, and Nick.
“Thank you Hiccup.” Pitch said as he deposited a bowl of scrambled eggs, a skillet of fresh hash brown and a bowl gravy on the table to join the fresh fruit, biscuits, and sausage Anna had brought over. “I must say it's refreshing to have someone around who knows how to express gratitude properly, I could get used to it.” He gave Aster a pointed took as he spoke though Hiccup could now see that his comments were just playful banter between the couple.
“Sooo,” Aster drew out the word as he spooned some eggs onto his plate “You have a good lay last night Jacky?” Hiccup coughed on the sip of orange juice he’d taken and began to blush a furious red, all the self-consciousness that had been so wonderfully absent earlier that morning came rushing back.
Jack looked from Aster to his mother and spoke incredulously “Mom! You said you wouldn’t say anything!”
Staring directly at the biscuit she was slicing in two Anna said “I didn’t.” Hiccup watched as Jack’s eyes widened in what he assumed was horror as he realized his mistake and looked at Aster, who’s face wore the expression of a small child with a magnifying glass who’d just discovered an anthill.
“Wait, you really did? Way to g-OW!” Aster winced and turned to glare at Pitch, “What was that?”
“A warning,” Pitch said calmly as he spooned eggs onto his plate “behave, or I beat you with the skillet.”
Hiccup turned to Pitch in surprise, as did the rest of the family, Aster glared at him for a moment then hunched over in his chair and stabbed at spice of melon on his plate. An awkward silence hung over the table keeping anyone from making eye contact until it was finally broken by Nick’s deep voice.
“Did you sleep well last night Hiccup?” There was an intake of breath and then a grunt from Aster and Hiccup turned to him in time to see him glaring at Pitch, the latter eyeing the hashbrown filled skillet meaningfully.
“Uh, I slept fine, thanks,” Hiccup mumbled, feeling incredibly self-conscious as he spoke.
“Good, good,” Nick said, oblivious to the teens discomfort. “You had mentioned you liked to build models and tinker yes?”
“Oh, um yeah I like to do that when I have to time, I haven’t done it in a while though.” Nick nodded as thought he understood completely.
“I also do not get to spend as much time doing that as I would like. If you would like after breakfast I have some things that you may enjoy looking at.”
“Oh, really?”
“He’s talking about his workshop,” Jack said, not seeming too thrilled by the idea.
“I think it's a wonderful idea dear, I’m sure Hiccup would love a quick tour.” Anna gave Nick a pointed look.
“Hmm, oh yes yes.” Nick agreed to some agreement that Hiccup was not aware of and Jack grew visibly less annoyed by the prospect.
“That sounds like fun Mr. North.” Hiccup said, not sure what else to say. The awkwardness at the start of breakfast was forgotten as the conversation turned to plans for the day and the rest of the week. Nick and Anna would be busy with work related things for most of it and Jack told them he planned to spend the evenings at Hiccup’s if his father was ok with it. Hiccup said he’d have to ask, but he didn’t think it would be a problem, after all, his dad had basically given Jack and open invitation to the house. Pitch told the table that he would be in court for most of the week as well, and Aster attempted several suggestive remarks throughout the meal that made Hiccup blush and, from the grunts of pain that cut them off early each time, earned him an under the table kick from Pitch for each, thought Hiccup never saw any indication of such from Pitch himself. Finally, after they had all cleared their plates and the meal had been taken away Nick stood.
“Alright Hiccup, are you ready?” Hiccup stood and nodded. He started to follow Nick from the room when he turned back to Jack who hadn’t moved.
“Aren’t you coming?”
“Tour dad’s workshop for the thousandth time? No thanks. I’m sure you two will have plenty to talk about in there, just text me when you’re done and I’ll come meet you.”
“Oh, uh, alright.” Hiccup was suddenly a lot more nervous about this tour, now that he would be spending it alone with Nick. Not that the man had ever done anything to make him uncomfortable, quite the opposite in fact. He really shouldn’t be nervous right but he’d only met Nick yesterday and he was the father of his boyfriend and thanks to Jack’s slip he at least had an idea what they’d been up to last night and- Hiccup took a deep breath and tried to calm his racing thoughts. He needed to relax and just try and make the best of the situation. Once he decided on that it was easier for him walk calmly behind the large man as he guided him through the house which Hiccup also decided he’d never be able to navigate without a map. He also decided that Jack was a grade A ass for abandoning him like this, even if Nick had managed to relax him even more by striking up a conversation about the various things that Hiccup had worked on during his various spurts if tinkering inspiration.
*******************************************************************************************************
As soon as the kitchen door closed behind Hiccup Jack rounded on Aster “I cannot belive you, no strike that I’m actually not suprised in the slightest that you’d be such a dick.”
“Language Jack,” Anna cut in “He’s right though Aster, you were being a dick.”
“I was just joke’n with ‘im.” Aster said defensively.
“I know that, but Hiccup’s not used to you yet, and sometimes when you’re joking you-”
“-Think you’re being funny when you’re really just being a giant dick?” Jack interjected.
“They are right, you need to leave that poor boy alone. It's painfully clear how hard all of this is for him. Your ribbing is not going to help him be more comfortable here or in his own skin.” Pitch added, drawing surprised looks from everyone at the table.
“Uh, thanks Pitch.” Jack said, looking at the older man with suspicious gratitude.
“Yeah, thanks Koz.” Aster said sarcastically and then, rubbing his leg “And thanks for the bruises.”
“Oh please, you do not bruise that easily. And You,” Pitch rounded on Jack “Shouldn’t have sent him off alone with Nick like that.”
“Oh come one, it's just touring Dad’s workshop. It's not like I’d be any fun doing that, plus its dad, I can’t think of anybody less intimidating when he wasn’t to be.”
“That’s beside the point. Did you even see the poor boys face when you said you’d be abandoning him? He was clearly trying not to show how scared he was at the idea.”
“Why would he be scared? It's not like any of us have done anything to justify him being scared, his dad’s not here to catch us, what’s there to be scared of?” Pitch pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes for a moment before speaking.
“Do you know the key to being a good liability resolution lawyer, Jack? Putting yourself in the mind of the plaintiff. Figure out what it is they want then giving it to them. It's the same for a relationship. Try to think about this from Hiccup’s perspective. He’s in a strange house with people he just recently met with a boy whom he has truly only known for a short time whom he also, apparently, likes quite a bit. That situation alone is enough to make a person nervous, not throw in the fact that, from what I’ve been able to gather, his father would be non-to happy to discover the extent of your ‘friendship’. You and Aster both have had Anna and Nick raising you for years, you’ve never had to live in fear that someone that you love and respect will hate you because of something can’t control. You’ve never had to live with the constant fear that you’ll say something or do something that tips your hand, that you’ll reveal yourself and have your whole world fall apart in an afternoon. It's hard to turn that off, even if you are in a place where you don’t need to worry. And I can only imagine what it would be like going through that when you are not a grown adult with a job and no reliance on your family nor real close bond with them. The whole situation is probably terrifying for Hiccup.”
The kitchen was silent as Pitch spoke. Jack sometimes forgot just how observant Pitch could be and now he felt properly ashamed that he’d sent Hiccup off on his own. “Thanks.”
“Figure out what he want’s, then give it to him.” Pitch repeated pointedly.
“I don’t know, you don’t do a very good job of giving me what I want.” Aster snipped.
“You didn’t seem to have any complaints about what I was giving you last night.” Pitch replied without missing a beat.
“Boys, please.” Anna half said, half sighed.
*********************************************************************************************************
It was about an hour later, during which Jack helped clean away the breakfast mess and endured a seemingly endless stream of questions and inuendoes about his activities the previous evening from Aster who seemed to have been given free reign now that Hiccup was out of the room, when Jack received a text from Hiccup.
Hiccup: Done with the tour, your dad’s workshop is amazing!
Smiling to himself Jack made his way toward his dad’s workshop on the first floor until he ran into his dad and Hiccup, apparently on their way back to the kitchen.
“Hey, you enjoyed the tour then I take it?”
“Yeah, it was pretty awesome. Your dad said that he could help me make a couple replacement parts for some of my older models with his 3D printer and maybe even design some of my own!” Hiccup was practically bouncing with excitement as he walked over to Jack and gave him a peck on the cheek before seemingly remember he was in front of Nick and blushing. All in all, it was one of the cutest things Jack had ever seen and he hugged the freckled teen tight and returned the kiss.
“Glad you had a good time.”
“We had very good time. Remember Hiccup, next time you come over for weekend bring broken models and we will work on replacements.”
“That would be awesome Mr. N-er, Nick.”
Nick patted Hiccup on the back as he headed down the hallway “I have conference call to prepare for, it was a pleasure to meet you Hiccup. I hope you come back soon. I’m glad Jack has found such nice boy.”
“Uhh, thanks.” Hiccup stammered, his face flushing bright red. Jack tried to keep himself from laughing, he to was glad he’d found such nice boy.
“Sorry I skipped the workshop.” Jack said once Nick had gone and he and Hiccup were heading back toward his room.
“Its alright, like you said I’m sure you’ve done it a hundred time. I doubt it would have been much fun for you.”
“No, it was a dick move and I’m sorry.” Hiccup hesitated for a moment then nodded in agreement.
“It was kinda a dick move.”
“Besides, I would have had fun cause I would have been with you.”
“That was so
incredibly sappy.” Hiccup snarked, but his couldn’t keep the broad smile off his face.
“It's my specialty.” Jack said, spinning Hiccup toward him for a quick kiss.
“I’ve noticed.” Hiccup laughed, returning the kiss. “I am really excited about the 3D printer though, I’ve like always wanted one but never been able to justify the cost.”
“Dad uses it all the time when he’s working of prototyping stuff. Prints it out to see how things all fit together before going through the trouble of fabricating a prototype.”
They continued to talk about Hiccup’s plan for the 3D printer until they reached Jack’s room where they settled down onto the couch and held a rematch for the previous evening. After a bit Jack challenged Hiccup to a game of strip-Smash-Brothers which the freckled teen proceeded to win quite handily because he was cheap and picked Pikachu. Soon Jack found himself removing his underwear while Hiccup had only lost his socks and shirt. Of course at that point Hiccup’s clothes didn’t remain on for much longer and, before long they found themselves in the shower after an encore of that morning. After a much longer shower than they’d had that morning they toweled off and spread out on the couch to finish air drying. Jack was in the middle of counting Hiccup’s freckles, which adorably covered essentially his entire body, when he shifted and Jack noticed a thoughtful look on his face.
“Watcha thinking about?” Jack asked, giving up on his impossible task.
“Hmm? I’m just thinking about how incredible it is that I’m lying here right now.”
“You mean like here with me? Or the fact that you're naked?” Jack teased, ignoring the or because you could have been dead right now that jumped into his mind. He pushed that unpleasant thought away as Hiccup responded.
“All of it I guess? I mean-”Hiccup sighed in a lost for words and contented kind of way “just that I’m lying here with you, and I’m incredibly happy, and yes I’m naked but I’m not feeling all self-conscious like I normally would.” Jack had to admit that he was kinda surprised about that too. For someone as self-conscious as Hiccup was Jack was surprised that he’d been so at ease with being naked as much as he had, not that Jack was complaining mind you. Hiccup was quite attractive as far as Jack was concerned.
“I do seem to remember that you were one of the boys that didn’t never showered after gym during that one class we shared last year.” Hiccup looked away but nodded.
“Yeah. Not that I really needed to, I kinda did my best to avoid participating as much as I could. But yeah, the idea of, of being naked in front of all those people absolutely terrified me. That and the idea of getting a boner in the shower.” Jack laughed at that.
“That happened to me like five times freshmen year.”
“What? No way, what the hell happened?”
“Nothing really. I made a couple jokes. Asked the guy who was pointing it out if he wanted to take care of it for me, that shut him up pretty quick.” Hiccup shook his head and laughed.
“I can totally see you doing that. I think I could have died from embarrassment right there. Just melted into a puddle and gone down the drain.” Jack chuckled and the conversation lulled. He’s just started counting Hiccup’s freckles again when Hiccup spoke again. “It's not like that with you though for some reason. It just feels more comfortable, more safe with you I guess.” Smiling, Jack leaned over and drew Hiccup into a deep kiss and soon the couple was in danger of needing another shower.
In what seemed like no time Jack’s phone buzzed with a message from Aster saying to get ready to bring Hiccup home. They hadn't realized until then that it was approaching nine in the evening. Getting dressed quickly they gathered Hiccup’s bags and headed down. Anna was there to see Hiccup off with a hug which he returned after a moment’s hesitation and an invitation to come back and visit next weekend, which he said he’d love to accept if his father said it was ok. Pitch was there to and said goodbye to Hiccup with a handshake and an apology for Asters ‘utterly juvenile behavior’ which earned a chuckle from Jack and Hiccup and a middle finger from Aster. The ride to Hiccup’s house went by much faster than Jack would have liked and before he knew it they were pulling up in front of it. Aster got out and knelt down to tie his shoe which Jack recognized as a surprisingly tactful way of giving him and Hiccup a moment of privacy to say goodbye. He pulled Hiccup and a hug which turned into a kiss which he broke off after a moment, sensing that Hiccup’s usual nerves had returned with his return home.
“I had a really great time with you Hiccup, like a really good time.” Jack said seriously, without a hint of innuendo, at least he hoped he did.
“Me too, I lovvvvve-d spendingtheweekendwithyou.” Hiccup said, seemingly suddenly flustered. Hiccup cocked an eyebrow in confusion at Hiccup’s suddenly strange behavior. What on earth had gotten into him?
“I loved it too.” He said “Tomorrow is going to suck not being able to see you.”
“I’ll see you on Monday, I’m sure you can make it that long.”
“I don’t know, I may wither away without your touch.”  Jack said over dramatically.
“Oh please.” Hiccup scoffed. He leaned in and Jack gave him one last quick kiss. “Bye.”
“Bye.” With that, Hiccup opened the door, slid out of the car and headed to his house.
**************************************************************************
Oh my god oh my god oh my god Hiccup thought as he walked up the path to his front door. He’d nearly just told Jack ‘I love you.’ What the hell had gotten into him? He’d known the guy for less than a month?! Well at least he’d caught himself. Knowing his luck he’d let that slip out and scare Jack away. Luckily he was interrupted from his thoughts as he unlocked the door, turned to wave at Aster who waved back and started to drive away, and headed into the house.
“Welcome back. How was your weekend?” his Father asked as he locked the door and took his shoes off.
“It was fun,” Hiccup said, hoping his face didn’t show any guilt as he said “he played watched a movie with Jack’s parents and then played a some video games, he’s got quite the collection.”
“Sound like you had a good time. If not terribly productive.” Stoick said in a tone that made it clear he was joking.
“Oh, and his dad has a 3D printer that he says I can use to try and make a couple replacements for some of the pieces I’m missing from some of my older models.”
“Really? How would you even do that?”
“Well, you design the piece on the computer and then the printer prints it just like paper except instead of ink it uses plastic to crate a 3D model.”
“Well, that sound just up your ally.” Hiccup nodded and went to head toward his room. “You going to bed already?”
“No, but I wanna get started on my homework since I haven’t yet. I’ll come out and say goodnight when I actually go to bed.”
“Ah, alright, well good job being responsible.” He said with a chuckle.
“Oh, dad?” Hiccup turned around to ask as he reached his door.
“Hmm?”
“Can Jack come over after school on Monday?”
“I don’t see anything wrong with that.”
“Thanks!” His father nodded and waved it off as nothing.
“Sure. I’m glad you’re spending so much time with friends.” Stoick smiled at him and Hiccup smiled back, hoping once again that the guilt he was feeling wasn’t showing on his face.
Alright, hope you enjoyed that! Now for that house cleaning stuff I mentioned up top. First off, this chapter is dedicated to ESPhoenix, who’s, shall I say persistent, comments gave me those warm fuzzies I needed to finish this chapter which has been sitting in various stages of completion for months now! So yay her! Now on to the reason it was sitting so long in various stages of completion. As most of you know at this point I’m in college. Well, if everything goes as planned, I’ll be graduating at the beginning of this coming May, which means last semester and this semester have been crazy busy for me, as has this winter break preparing for next semester. With five upper division classes and preparations for graduation, I haven’t had a lot of time to write, and what time I have had has been taken up with something else, which brings me to my next thing.
I’m writing a book! Like, an honest to goodness novel with fantasy adventures and magic and of course gay boys! I can’t say a lot about it right now accept that, again, if everything goes as planned it should be ready for distribution around November. Not completely sure how I’ll be distributing it but I know there will be an easy option for any of my fans here (god I feel so pretentious saying that!) who want to read it. More on that in the months to come.
My final point is that, despite any brakes or (way to god damned) long absences, I *will not* abandon this story. You have my word on that. If you are reading this and have stuck with me this long, well quite frankly you deserve a finished story damn it, and you will get one!
So yeah, that’s what’s been up with me the last few months. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this, and of course my stories. Thanks everyone for the kind comments and reviews and all that great stuff that gives me the warm fuzzies! I really do love you all!

Guardian Chapter 17
Hey! I'm alive! Sorry its been sooooo long since the last chapter, I had a lot of end of semester stress to deal with and then a soul crushing summer job for a while that took up most of my time and killed my motivation to write anything in what freetime I did have, but that over now and I am back! As always I hope you enjoy the chapter and if you do please leave a comment and let me know!
Hiccup had expected that the North family would go their separate ways after dinner as was usually the case in his own home. Instead Nick had asked him and Jack what they planned to do after dinner, ignored Aster’s particularly suggestive snort that made Hiccup’s stomach quaver slightly, and upon hearing their plans to watch a movie suggested, in that fatherly way of suggesting things that made it seem less like a request and more like an order, that they all watch the movie in the family room. And so they had, Hiccup following closely behind everyone else through the various hallways of the North household to a family room that, to hiccup’s surprise, was about the same size he would expect from a normal sized home. The large screen TV covering one wall form ceiling to floor was the only thing that fit in with the rest of house. The room was ringed on the three sides not covered in flat screen by a couch that was wide enough that Hiccup thought three of him could lie on it comfortably and be in no danger of falling off. When Hiccup had commented on the size of the room Anna had answered simply “The family room is where you go to be close to your family, so we didn’t want to be all spread out in a giant room.” That made a lot of sense. They had turned the movie on and again to Hiccup’s surprise, and initial discomfort, the other two couples had paired off, each claiming a side of the couch. Nick spread out as soon as he hit the couch, propping himself up in one of the corners and if it wasn’t for the white beard Hiccup would have sword his father was sitting in the room with him. The only thing that was out of place was the petite form of Anna nestling into the crook of his arm, her head resting against his large shoulder. Aster took a seat on the edge of the side of the couch opposite the TV and Pitch joined him, draping himself across the seat so that his head lay in Aster’s lap. Jack too a seat on the remaining side of the couch and Hiccup made to take a seat next to him, but hesitated as he realized that there was plenty of room for him to cuddle up next to Jack if he wanted to, and part of him certainly wanted to. The rest of him quailed at the idea of doing that in front of Jack’s family and in the end Hiccup took a seat next to Jack, leaving half a foot of empty couch between them. PDA had never really been a thing in his home growing up and the clear affection being displayed by the other couples made Hiccup feel uncomfortable. So there he sat forty five minutes later feeling like an outcast. Jack hadn’t given any reaction to his choice to sit away from him during the movie, and neither had any of the other family members, but Hiccup still felt guilty. He hadn’t been able to pay any attention to the movie either, too focused on the way Nick would readjust himself whenever Anna moved slightly or how Aster’s fingers were absently running through Pitch’s dark hair, and the fact that Jack was sitting almost as still as Hiccup. They all just seemed so incredibly comfortable. Even Pitch who had withdrawn an e-reader from a pocket and become absorbed in something he clearly found much more interesting than the movie, seemed like he belonged there. Hiccup felt like a complete idiot for being so self conscious around this particular group of people, but he was still to uncomfortable to do anything about it. Suddenly Pitch looked up from his e-reader for the first time since he’d brought it out and caught Hiccup’s eye. Hiccup’s cheek reddened and he looked away, feeling even more awkward for having gotten caught staring. When he glanced back a moment later he was horrified to find that Pitch was still staring at him. Pitch’s piercing golden eyes caught his gaze as he was about to look away and the dark eyebrows raised as he looked between Hiccup and Jack. His gaze seemed to ask What seems to be the problem? Hiccup shrugged and glanced at the ground briefly. When Hiccup looked back at Pitch he gave a small shrug - not a dismissive shrug, more a ‘whatever you need to do’ kind of shrug - and raised a hand over his head and laced his finger’s through Aster’s. Hiccup saw Aster’s lips raise in a small smile and the way that nobody in the room reacted to Pitch’s action and, after a deep breath, turned his head as little as possible to look Jack who’d he’d been pointedly avoiding looking at for the last half-hour. Jack was staring at the screen clearly wrapped up in the movie, maybe a little too wrapped up but Hiccup wasn’t sure if that was actually the case of just his own paranoia making him see things that weren’t there. Jack noticed Hiccup looking at him and gave him a smile which Hiccup returned and, feeling both foolish and awkward, turned away from Jack to face the screen and leaned back slowly until he was leaning against the white haired teen, his head resting in the crook of Jack’s shoulder. Jack was still for a second before he melted around Hiccup, his arms coming up to wrap around a scrawny chest and nimble fingers began running through messy hair. Hiccup still felt self conscious, even though he knew there was no real reason for it, but those feelings were overshadowed by the feeling of contentment he felt being wrapped in Jack’s arms while nimble fingers played with his thick auburn hair. Hiccup closed his eyes and sighed, nestling closer to Jack as he tired to let himself just enjoy the moment, something that was admittedly pretty easy to do. He glanced over at Pitch who gave him a small smile and a nod before going back to his book and then looked up at Jack who also gave him a much bigger smile, leaned down, and gave him a kiss on the forehead which made him feel please and a little self conscious - but mostly pleased. Both Nick and Anna’s phones rang several times throughout the movie, but after glancing at the screen they always rejected the call, until near the end of the movie when Anna’s phone rang and after checking the number she got up and walked out of the room. Hiccup assumed by the lack of reaction from the rest of the people in the room that that sort of thing was a regular occurrence and had just closed his eyes again when Anna’s voice, raised to a volume and carrying a tone that Hiccup had not heard in it thusfar, came through the open door form the hallway “What do you mean held up in customs? That shipment is charity goods and it was already pre-cleared by the state department! Oh does he now? Of course not! No don’t you give that greedy bastard a dime.” Jack Aster and North were looking at one another as silence fell and then Anna’s head appeared in the doorway to the hallway. “I’m going to have to deal with this and it looks like its going to take a while. Can you take care of getting the boys settled for bed when your done here?” She asked Nick, her voice almost at its usual pleasant tone but holding just a but of the hard edge it had gained while she was on the phone. “Of course, I will take care of it. You go deal with greedy bastard.” Anna gave a aggrieved face as Jack and Aster chuckled before looking ateach of them. “Goodnight boys.” “Night mom. “Goodnight Hiccup, it has been wonderful having you so far, promise to keep Jack this well behaved in the future and you are welcome to come over whenever you want.” “Oh, uh, goodnight Mrs. North, and, uh, thank you.” Hiccup stammered, not entirely sure how to respond as Jack mother disappeared back into the hallway. “Be sure to bring spare bedding for Hiccup when you go do bed Jack, yah?” North asked. Jack looked at his father quizicaly for a moment, opened his mouth to speak and closed it again as a look that Hiccup could only call devious flashed across his face before he arranged in features into a more neutral expression. “Yeah sure no problem Dad.” “Good good.” With that North settled back down to watch the movie, leaving Jack to grin and Hiccup to wonder at Jack’s strange reaction to North’s simple question. The living room was silent for the rest of the movie which Hiccup had tried to pay attention to then given up after a few minutes since he’d already missed the first two thirds of it. When the movie did come to and end and the credits started to play everyone got up slowly and stretched. “Alright boys I’m going to workshop, have a good night and call if you need anything. It was a pleasure to meet you Hiccup, hope to see you here more often in the future ya?” North said as he made his way to the doorway. “Uh thanks.” North smiled, waved goodnight to the rest of the room and disappeared out the door. “Well, its already later then I would prefer and I have a consultation tomorrow morning. As has been said already, it it good to finally meet you and see that Jack’s pining wasn’t for naught. Goodnight.” Pitch swept form the room, stopping at the door to look at Aster, “Coming?” “Yeah yeah I’m coming. Goodnight you two, or and don’t worry about being quiet” Aster said looking at Hiccup, “Jackie’s room is soundproof.” Aster laughed as he ducked the coaster Jack threw at him and followed Pitch out of the room. “Don’t listen to him, he just lives to ruin my life.” “Oh I know, its fine.” Hiccup tried to laugh away the comment and not show the fact that his stomach had started to tighten again. “We should probably head back to my room, it is pretty late.” “Lead to way, I’d need a map to find my way back to it by myself.” “You get used to the layout after a while, it seems pretty big but like a third of the back side of the house it North’s workshop and there’s never any reason to go to the upper levels unless your looking my mom or dad. Plus there are the quest rooms and the party room-” “Party room? What’s a party room?” “Heh, its not as fun as it sounds. Thats what we call it but I think the official name is a formal dining room. Its basically just a big room with a big table where my mom and dad can host parties and stuff.” “Ah, yeah you’re right that isn’t nearly as excited as it sounded.” The both laughed and the conversation died down into a comfortable silence while Jack lead Hiccup through the house to a room that wasn’t Jack’s. “So where are we now then? I thought you said we were going back to your room.” “We are, were just stopping off to grab some spare blankets.” “Oh thats right.” Jack opened the door to a room about twice the size of Hiccup’s bedroom filled with shelves crammed with matching sheet, blankets and pillows. “So do we just grab some or
?” Hiccup gestured vaguely at one of the shelves as he spoke. “Not these, there for the guest rooms. The really good ones are over here.” Jack said as he lead Hiccup through the rows of linens to shelf in the very back of the room filled with a mismatched assortment of blankets, sheets, quilts and pillows. “Go ahead of take whatever you like.” After riffling through the shelf a bit Hiccup settled on a blanket that was fluffier then any blanket he’d ever seen in his entire life and a pillow that he thought might actually be made out of a cloud. While Hiccup was grabbing his bedding Jack had retrieved some sort of foam sleeping pad for Hiccup and together they made their way to his room carrying their burdens. As they walked Hiccup found he couldn’t get Aster’s parting comment out of his head. “So, your room isn’t soundproof then?” Hiccup asked, feeling his cheeks redden at the implications of his questions that he hopped Jack didn’t think he meant. “Oh, uh yeah it is actually.” “Oh uh
why?” “Because thats where I practice, so when mom and dad built the house and decided to put in a professional speaker system into the room, they thought it would be a good idea to soundproof it, especially since my room is the closest to the party room.” “Oh, that makes a lot of sense.” “Yeah, my parents are pretty smart when their not being parents.” “Your parents seem pretty awesome. I mean there a lot more open then my dad thats for sure.” “Yeah I guess they do look even better by comparison there don’t they.” “Well my dad isn’t that bad, I mean he can be distant a lot, but he takes care of me.” “Yeah, your just scared to tell him who you really are because you think he will hate you. Parent of the year material right there.” The hardness in Jack’s voice both surprised and angered Hiccup, combined with what Jack had actually said Hiccup was suddenly pissed. Sure his dad had issues as a parent, some bigger then others, but he did love Hiccup and take care of him. As far as parents go his dad could be a lot worse and Hiccup said as much. “Hey he does his best! Don’t talk about him like he beats me or something.” Hiccup was too pissed to acknowledge his surprise that he was defending his father’s parenting. Jack’s voice was quite when he answered. “If he beat you I’d have him arrested in half a second.” There as another moment of silence and then Jack spoke, “I’m sorry Hiccup, I shouldn’t have said what I said.” Hiccup sighed and wished his arms were free so he could wraps an arm around Jack. He had to settle for bumping Jack’s arm with his elbow. “Its alright, I know why you said it.” Things were quiet for the short remainder of the walk to Jack’s room. When they got there Jack deposited the sleeping pad on the floor next to his bad and Hiccup dropped the linens on top of it. “So now what are we gonna do?” Hiccup asked. Jack raised and eyebrow suggestively which made Hiccup blush which in turn made Jack laugh which made Hiccup throw a pillow at Jack’s head which caused Jack to retaliate and soon they were beating each other to a pulp with pillows. When it became clear neither was going to admit defeat in the great pillow war, Jack suggested they settle it with a Smashbrothers through the ages contest which Hiccup agreed too. Jack went to fetch the games while Hiccup settled down on the couch and tried to catch his breath. Soon they were embroiled in heated digital combat, working their way through the original Super Smashbrothers, Melee, Brawl and finally ending at the most recent game where they were tied in wins. When the final match came down to sudden death Hiccup knew he had it in the bag since he’d won every single sudden death do far as he had discovered Jack was terrible at dodging bombs raining form the sky. At least he thought he had it in the bag right up until he felt fingers dancing along his side. He flinched away from Jack’s tickling and looked back at the screen in time to watch in horror as instead of avoiding the falling bomb like he had intended, his mistimed jump put him on a direct collision course with one which promptly exploded and launched him off the screen, declaring Jack the ‘winner’ of the game. “You cheater!” “How did I cheat?” “How did you
how do you think you cheated? You tickled me!” “Don’t try to blame me just cause you can’t dodge a little bomb Hiccup.” “Oh you bastard, your gonna pay for that!” Hiccup grabbed his previously discarded pillow and swung for Jack’s head. Jack jumped over the back of the couch and scrambled away. “You’re gonna have to do better than that if you wanna catch me Hiccup!” “Oh you’re mine!” Hiccup jumped of from the couch and charged after Jack, slamming into him in the middle of the room and bringing them both crashing to the floor. “You don’t remember what you did? Here let me refresh your memory!” Hiccup shouted at he began to tickle Jack mercilessly. “Ah-haha- Huccip sto-ahaha- stop you monter! How-ahahaha- how could you!” Jack pleaded for mercy to no avail. “Admit you cheated!” “Ne-ne-ahaha-NEVER!” “Admit it and maybe I’ll let you go.” “I’ll ne-never admit anything! I’m a-a-ahahah-a a rock!” “That may be, but your also completely at my mercy.” “Oh really?” Hiccup wasn’t exactly sure what happened but with a couple swift motions that looked to be right out of a spy movie he found himself on his back, pinned down by all of Jack’s weight and with Jack’s hand pinning both of his own over his head. “Whoa
how did you do that?” Jack took a moment to answer as he was panting heavily, trying to get his breath back after his vicious tickling. “Self
self defense training. Dad tough me and Aster how to protect ourselves if we would ever need too. “Ah, well I have to admit that was pretty impressive.” “Thanks.” “How long has your dad bee teaching you self defense?” “A few years, he says that everyone should know how to protect themselves.” “Huh, maybe I should get him to teach me.” “Hah, I’d pay good money to watch that. My dad is a very hands on teacher, he believes in learning by doing. I could talk to him if you really waaa nice try!” Jack exclaimed as Hiccup tried to throw him off by spinning in place which lead to them both rolling in tangled mess of limbs with Hiccup once again pinned under Jack. “Damnit.” “Aww that was cute, like watching a kitten acting all tough at a full grown cat.” Jack’s voice was incredibly patronizing. “Jackass.” Hiccup said as he tried to throw Jack off again. “Maybe, but I’m you’re jackass.” Jack leaned down as he spoke and pressed his lips to Hiccup’s who stopped trying to fight back at that point. Jack withdrew a minute later with both of them breathing a little faster. It wasn’t until then that Hiccup fully comprehended the position they were in. His cheek’s immediately flushed beet red and his stomach began tying itself in knots as he realized that he was pinned down underneath Jack with one of his legs bent so his ankle was resting on Jack’s shoulder. Jack leaned in for another kiss but Hiccup turned his head away and pushed Jack away. “Is something wrong?” Jack said hesitantly, clearly confused by Hiccup’s reaction. “Yeah, I mean sorta I just
please let me up Jack.” Jack jumped up and fell back into a sitting position, still clearly unsure what was going on, as Hiccup stood up, crossed his arms, and looked around before walking over and sitting on the edge of Jack’s bed. Confusion turning into concern Jack stood and walked over to Hiccup, taking a seat a respectful distance from the other boy and tentatively putting a hand on his shoulder. “Hiccup, whats wrong?” “Nothing.” Hiccup knew his words were a lie and Jack’s expression and raised eyebrow clearly said that he did to. Sighing Hiccup started again, avoiding looking at Jack as he spoke. “Its just, the way we were laying down there was very
suggestive. And you invited me to spend the night, in your room, and I don’t think I’m ready for that kind of stuff yet I mean don’t get me wrong I really like you Jack like a lot and its not like I don’t want to do that kind of thing with you or that I don’t think about it its just that I don’t think I’m ready for something like that please don’t be mad.” Hiccup took  a deep breath and looked at Jack who was staring at Hiccup looking slightly dumbfounded by Hiccup’s rambling explanation. Coming back to himself Jack moved his hand from Hiccup’s shoulder to his hand and squeezed it. “Oh God Hiccup, did you think that I invited you over to have sex?” “No, well kind of, I mean I didn’t think that but then I was talking with Astrid and she was making jokes and then Aster’s joking and stuff and I mean we are teen aged boys its kind of expected and I just-” “Hiccup take a breath. And calm down ok? I would never, never try to get you to do anything that you didn’t want to do. And I promised that when I invited you to spend the night tonight it had nothing to do with sex.” “I know it wasn’t, I just
I just let myself get psyched out by everything. I’m sorry.” Jack gave Hiccup a gentle kiss. “There’s noting to be sorry for.” Hiccup smiled as he felt the weight that had been weighing on his chest all night fade away and wrapped his arms around Jack’s neck pulling him back into the kiss and deepening it in one motion. As they continued to kiss Hiccup pulled Jack down onto the bed and somehow their shirts ended up on the floor. As Hiccup ran his hands along Jack’s chest new feelings began to take the place of the trepidation he had been feeling previously. Nervousness began to coalesce in his chest again but now it was colored by excitement instead of fear as the part of his mind that was completely caught up in the moment went to war with the rest of him. The latter urging him to get control of himself while the former guided his hands steadily lower while the nervous excitement in his chest wound tighter and tighter. Hiccup hesitated when his ringers brushed ageist the denim of Jack’s jeans and it seemed like the more logical apart of his brain was going to win when an arrant thought drifted through his mind besides, what would your dad think if he saw you like this? Overcoming his hesitation Hiccup’s nimble fingers attacked Jack’s belt and jeans. He had just gotten the button undone when hands grabbed hit wrists and pulled them up and away from their target. Jack broke the kiss and looked Hiccup right in the eye. “I thought you were just freaking out over doing stuff like that? And now you’re undoing my pants?” “I know, but when you said that we didn’t have to do anything it calmed down whatever I was worried about and
I was kind of thinking that, just because we don’t have to do anything
doesn’t
mean
we cant do anything, right?” “Right,” Jack answered slowly, drawing the work out “but I thought you weren’t ready for anything like that.” “I didn’t think I was, but I think taking away the pressure kind of changed my mind.” “Are you sure about that?” Hiccup bit his lower lip and thought for a second before answering. “Well I don’t think I’m ready to go all the way, but, I mean, there are other things
to do
” Hiccup trailed off and looked away from Jack blushing furiously. In response Jack leaned down and pressed his lips to Hiccup. The kiss started out slow and gentle but quickly became much more passionate and after a moment’s hesitation Hiccup’s fingers were back at their previous task which they completed in short order since all that was left to do was undo Jack’s zipper which he had done in a heartbeat. Slipping his thumps into Jack’s underwear at his hips Hiccup took a deep breath through his nose and then pulled Jack’s pants and underwear down to his knees in one smooth motion. Hiccup lay there for a moment frozen by a combination of fear and excitement. Finally he found the will to slide his hand back up along Jack’s thigh until he was cupping the other teens groin. Hiccup finally released his held breath as he curled his fingers, getting a better grip on Jack and feeling that was at least as excited as Hiccup himself was. At that point Jack’s own hand stopped tracing patterns on Hiccup’s back and found their way to the button his his jeans which they undid in short order and, with a couple swift motions, both teen’s pants joined their shirts. After a thrilling and very thorough period of exploration Jack started to slowly slide his hand up and down and Hiccup followed suit a moment later, the pair slowly increasing their pace until they were farced to break their kiss because both of their breathing was heavy and ragged. Hiccup could feel himself getting close and so he redoubled his efforts on Jack and was rewarded with a deep intake of breath from the white haired teen. After a moment under his increased  ministrations Hiccup felt Jack’s legs tense up and he began thrusting erratically into Hiccups hand as he spilled over the edge. Jack was panting heavily in the wake of his climax but that didn’t take away from the attention that he was paying Hiccup and it only took a few more seconds with the newly applied lubricant for Hiccup’s toes to curl and his legs to tense up as well. When Hiccup finished Jack flopped down next to Hiccup, wrapping his arm around Hiccup’s shoulders and running his clean hand slowly up and down his freckled side. When they were both able to breath properly again Jack broke the silence “That was
” “Amazing?” Hiccup supplied. “I was looking for something a little less cliche, but yeah, Amazing pretty much sums it up.” Jack angled his head to give Hiccup a slow and gentle kiss before pulled away and pushing himself up off the bed. “Where are you going?” “To get you something to clean you up with.” “Oh,” Hiccup tore his gaze away from the very pleasant sight of a retreating Jack to look down and examine the extent of the mess splattered across his groin, stomach, and chest “thanks.” Jack vanished into the bathroom and appeared a minute later with a towel damp with warm water. “That should do the trick.” “Thanks.” Hiccup said as he took the towel and cleaned himself. When he finished Jack returned the towel to the bathroom then hopped back into his bed and wrapped his arms around Hiccup. They lay there for a long time, not saying anything, Jack’s fingers running idly through Hiccup’s hair. Neither of them felt the need to break the silence until Hiccup gave a huge yawn which point Jack spoke. “You know, the bed is plenty big for two people, and the floor isn’t nearly as comfortable.” “Why sir, are you inviting me to spend the night in your bed? Just what are you trying to insinuate?” Jack snorted and hugged Hiccup tighter. “So, would you like to?” “Hmmm
I think I’d like that very much.” Hiccup said, nuzzling closer to Jack. “Me too.” Jack turned the lights and Hiccup nestled himself into the crook of Jack’s arm. “Goodnight Jack.” “Goodnight Hiccup, I’ll see you in the morning.” “See you then, sweet dreams.”
* * * * * * Hiccup must have been more tired than Jack thought because he was out within a fire minutes of saying goodnight, but Jack took longer to fall asleep, not that he minded; he was perfectly content to lay they are enjoy the situation, feelings Hiccup’s skin pressed against his own and listening to the other boys slow rhythmic breathing. He was just starting to feel the pull of sleep when he noticed the notification light on his phone was flashing alerting him of a new text message from his mother. Grabbed it carefully as not to wake up Hiccup he grabbed the phone and read:
Mom:I’m not going to come into your room as to avoid creating memories that neither of us will be able to unsee, but I am texting you to let you know that I’m adding another week on the car.
Jack: What?! Why? We didn’t really even do anything! And aren’t you always the one saying that there is nothing to be ashamed of with sex and that you would rather I be doing it safely under your room than trying to sneak around?
Mom: I don’t care if you did or did not do anything (because there is no ‘didn’t really even’ you either did or you didn’t), thats not what the punishment is for. The punishment if for taking advantage of your father. You knew that I had planned on Hiccup staying in a guest room and you went against that.
Jack:
fine
I’m sorry.
Mom: You are forgiven, just don’t do it again. Also, I’m assuming ‘didn’t really even do anything’ means you did something, so congradulations!
Jack: OH GOD MOM STOP!!!!
Mom: My little Jack is becoming a man.
Jack: For the love of god, please don’t be like that tomorrow. And you better not tell Aster any of this!
Mom: Oh please honey I’m not cruel, I’m already punishing you with the car I wouldn’t put you through that too.
Jack: Thanks. I love you :)
Mom: I love you to Jack :) Now clean up and go to bed!
Jack: OH MY GOD MOM STOP!

School, Life, and Guardian
Hey all, I wanted to take a moment to let everyone who has been asking about the next chapter of Guardian know that I am working on it, but I don't know when it will come out. I'm nearing the end of my semester right now and the last couple weeks have been pretty intense with the next two promising to be even worse. On top of that I am currently dealing with some relationship issues which is taking first priority at the moment. So I can't say when the next chapter will be out, but I'm hoping it won't be to much longer because I promise I miss being able to write new chapter at least as much as you guys misses reading them! Hope everyone out there is doing alright, best of luck with whatever it is you are working towards, and a special shout out to all my college age followers who are freaking out about finals too!
