Making my Elden Ring NG+ Run More Difficult.

I found NG+ playthroughs by friends to be way too easy. As such, I am trying to inflate the difficulty of the game.

Why? I am currently Level 150 and want to stay there mostly for PVP but also don’t want to make a new character. I also don’t want to lose my items starting from scratch.

I’m essentially gonna play the game as a “boss rush mode”, with the intention of overcoming all trophy/optional bosses (Milenia, Mohg etc.) without being bored.

So here’s what I’m gonna do:

Use a larval Tear before a NG+ cycle to intentionally respec my stats in the dumbest way possible; I am running a Pure Dex Build but am gonna dump points into useless stats (Faith, Intelligence, & Arcane). This will take points away from my core/important stats (Vigor, Mind, Endurance, Dexterity etc.). I will use larval tears as the game progresses if I truly get stuck.

Use Weapons that not upgraded so they deal significantly less damage (mostly to learn boss patterns/ non-cheese strategies).

Allocate less HP flasks so I have limited opportunities to heal.

I don’t know if this is going to work the way I want it to but here’s how I am going to go about it. I will report back with results. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to share.

I don’t know if this is helpful, but the question “how are things at home” is coded with the implication that there are marital or other family problems happening. Unless you are close friends with the person you’re talking to and they normally confide in you, it’s generally considered too personal to talk about those types of issues; especially true if you’re aiming for small talk in the workplace.

How do people know what to fucking talk about? Like how does one start a conversation?? Or continue one?? As soon as I say something to someone they immediately seem uninterested. I know I say too much and don’t really know what to say and I talk myself into circles but y’all don’t gotta act like it. It’s something that has always been hell for me. Anytime it’s silent I feel like it’s my responsibility to fill every void and I end up just being a fool. I can’t stay quite because I wanna talk but I never do it how I wanna. :(( I just wish people knew upfront that this kid is autistic as fuck but I wanna be your friend. :(((

Just a couple of notes (but there several other issues with this).

Jasmine can get like 15ft high and pull a fence down. Gardenia can get about 8ft. Both of them can have an absolutely overwhelming scent when they’re blossoming. Why in the world would you shove those plants in a bedroom, of all places?!

Honestly a big part of what makes your books such a delight is your intense attention to detail. Was Marya’s shop based on a real place? Now that I live in the Bay Area it adds a whole new layer of richness when I read your works that are set here.

I just wanted to tell you how happy it made me to come across that description of a King Sundew (and correct care of it!) in “Parasite.” I have one and it’s the pride of my carnivorous plant collection. I’ve also been a reader and fan of yours for many years; just now getting around to the Mira Grant works. Thank you for the little bit of nerdy glee in this troubled time.

I used to have several, and they were delightful companions.  I’m so glad to have gotten the details correct enough to please you!
