maxine   sits   there   pondering.   where   should   she   even   begin?   the   girl   had   compiled   a   list   of   questions   in   the   last   hour.   all   that   she   wanted   answers   for.   ❝   how   does   the   growing   thing   feel?   is   it   painful?   or   does   it   feel   like   nothing?   and   is   it   something   you   can   only   do   with   the   suit   on?   because   if   so,   i   need   to   know   ho---   ❞   she   stops   herself,   realizing   that   she’s   been   rambling.   this   was   the   most   she   had   spoken   all   day.   she’s   probably   overwhelming   him   with   her   sudden   curiosity.   ❝   my   bad...   you   don’t   have   to   answer   all   of   that.   ❞

there’s   a   stunned   look   upon   her   face.   maxine’s   not   sure   what   shocks   her   more,  how   blunt   the   boy   is   or   him   refusing   her   offer   on   delicious  vending   machine   treats.   kids   usually   crave   this   stuff…   or   so   she   thought.   ❝   suit   yourself.   ❞   there’s   a   shrug,   and   she’s   pushing   her   pointer   finger   into   the   buttons   A   and   4.   ❝   i   doubt   alfred   could   make   you   something   as   tasty   as   a   snicker’s   bar   though.   ❞

the ba director telling quintessa that maxine’s powers have a “dance like” aspect? i absolutely love. if you know what aerial silk performers are, that’s the best way i can describe how maxine moves while using her powers. also just any kind of acrobatic and contemporary movements.
