Seeing the manipulation and coercion so early in the series kind of breaks me. Dean always wanted to keep Sam to himself and only himself. He would stop at nothing to make sure that that happened. Dean breaks down Sam over the first 5 seasons, especially. He made Sam completely codependent on him. Sam's need to fit in and think he's not a freak makes him do anything for Dean. Dean uses that against Sam constantly. He preys upon the insecurities of Sam, furthering the abuse. Their relationship is corrupt.
