It's considered rude to repost fanart without permission from the artist, but especially without credit. That it's a gif doesn't stop it from being fanart. Someone put a lot of work into that and they deserve to have control over where it goes and at the very least to have people be able to find them where they post their work themselves. I appreciate that you got it from a site where someone already reposted it and that you likely didn't know it was rude because a lot of people sadly do this to artists all the time, but it's best to not post things like that.

i don't repost art, i reblog art sometimes, especally madohomu art, but that's probably not what you're talking about.

the only time i reposted art was a gif i found on tenor.com, i downloaded it and then posted it with some song lyrics.

if this is what you are talking about, i'm sincerely sorry and if you let me know who the artist is, i can add credits and ask them if they want the post taken down.
