Mini art journal is complete. I ended up removing a signature and rebinding the book because it was getting way too cumbersome. It's still too fat to scan, heh. Here's a few favorite final spreads I worked on this week.
A quick flip-through is up on my Insta: mini composition book journal.

New handmade postcards going out in today's mail + a collage wrapped envelope for a pen pal.
The postcards were made masterboard style, on a 12"x18" sheet of watercolor paper. They're lots of layers of papers, neon gouache, paint pens and masking tape.

I'm doing the 100 Day Project this year. My first year. I've done challenges like this before, and they usually either break me or I become so completely focused that I don't have the brain room for other projects. So I decided if I was going to do this, it was going to be as a small, quick warm up activity. I chose twinchies (2" squares).
I made a little spiral bound book and plotted out all the squares on the pages. I decorated the pages a bit with ink and stamps just to banish the white space that can be intimidating.
My first page of 6 squares was completed this morning. Having this as a daily wake up/warm up has actually sorted out my lacking motivation...I'm not procrastinating on the pc every morning, researching, inspo searching or overthinking myself into apathy. I spend maybe 10 minutes on a little square....no second-guessing if it's good enough or if it's "real art"...just doing the thing. And that thing leads to something else. And that creative train keeps going.
I'm also doing 100 days of digital papers...created on my iPad using Procreate, but that's a different share for another day.

New in the "daily" junk journal. More an art journal spread, but whatever. What rules are there, really? This book originally started as a hybrid sticker journal/junk journal, where I was hoping to collect more daily, real life ephemera, but I'm a goblin hermit who stays home all the time. So it's a place for whatever I'm feeling that day.
I was watching a video the other day of John Ritter and Robin Williams doing improv and RW described the characters he was going to do as "assorted mutants and friends" - at least that's what I thought I heard. I liked the sound of it so in the journal it goes.
The image in the lower right of the right page is an ollllld artist trading card I made a long time ago. The perks of taking pictures of the stuff you make is continuing to use them in future stuff.

Oh dang, here I am again. IG is becoming less and less bearable, so I'm back here to share my silly makes. Hang on while I get used to this place again.
I'm an old lady, married, with a 26 year old kid and 2 dogs. Here's some things I've made lately...
