In Would you fall in love with me again when Odysseus is singing he states "I know you've been waiting for Love"

When he goes to say it again but Penelope cuts him off, as many people have said before she's not asking about to bed to confirm it for herself, she's asking to help Odysseus confirm it to himself that he's still the same person

And once he realizes that he's still the same and Penelope at no point saw him any different she says "I've been waiting for You"

Not Love, she could have found love elsewhere, there were hundreds of suitors who were more than willing to grant her love. She never waited for Love, she waited for Him.

stolas tugging the disguise down to hide blitz better. blitz holding stolas in his lap. stolas peering up at blitz from the couch looking so fucking sad. blitz's little "go on" wave when stolas automatically looks to him for permission to go dance. it's about the familiarity despite the hurt. it's about loving someone and being angry with them but being unwilling to let either overrule the other. it's about being unable to stop caring even if it might be easier on both of you. i am sobbing facedown on the floor

*Apology Tour Spoilers*

Blitzø's "I stopped him!" after remembering Stolas didn't know about the first assassination attempt was Heart. Breaking.

His voice dropping from the accusation and argument, dropping his façade for just a Moment and remembered where he was, who he was talking to, and that his words meant something to make sure Stolas knew he was being genuine. That he stopped the assasination and truly didn't know he could get hurt. That was my first sign that this episode was about to be a banger.

Anywhoo, I'll probably have more thoughts later, but for now this is all I got.

Update: I have done more research!

Okay, so this update pretty much completely disproves the whole Beauty and the Beast thing (though I think there's still something to that)

What I did find though in rewatching s2e1 was this -

Here's a closer look

This is Stolas's book on plants and herbs and while we never actually see the spine it has a very similar style and pattern, burgundy color with gold floral detailing.

While this disproves that the book it supposed to be Beauty and the Beast, what it actually does though is give us a very visual representation of what Stolas sees

As here Stolas is placing the grimoire in the space between the books. At first, I thought oh! The grimoire is what's been getting between the two of them having a relationship, but that didn't seem completely right as not having the book is what is separating them.

So then I realized the grimoire is their bridge. When it was missing there was a gap between them, literal empty space between the books, but the grimoire being placed on the shelf finally connected them again. They need, currently, a bridge to be together and Stolas without realizing had taken that bridge away.

HOW HAS NO ONE MENTIONED THIS?!?

Okay, I don't actually know if no one has mentioned this, but I've been on Hazbin and Helluva ticktol and Tumblr for days (not Twitter, so maybe that's where I'm missing it) but Stolas's bookshelf??

Stolas's bookshelf in Full Moon as he's about to place his grimoire we see two books:

1. An old tattered book that says pirate with a pirate hook (and I can't tell for sure, but I really think it says windows at the bottom) which is a callback to when stolas and blitz first met, it's obviously older and a bit torn, but it was an interest of his first friend so obviously he didn't throw it out, which ugh my heart.

2. A burgundy book with a golden rose on the spine. Now, for me this doesn't ring any bells right away as far as back story or plot significance, BUT it seems too detailed to just be a random other book.

So what does it represent?

My immediate thought was Beauty and the Beast. A lot of pop culture references beauty and the beast with rose symbology and if we look at the relationship from stolas's perspective and look at the criticism behind the book it makes a lot of sense.

Stolas has stated many times that he feels he's trapping Blitzø in this relationship. Even if Blitzø is the dominant one in bed Stolas is not unaware of his social status and power above him. Stolas has the power to make or break everything and there's nothing Blitzø would be able to do about it - case and point this episode where he ends things and all Blitzø can do is try to argue (though Stolas literally teleports him away so even that is limited)

Stolas sees himself as the beast trapping the beauty. And while Beauty and the Beast is widely regarded as a romance, recently (not that recently but you know what I mean) it's been criticized as Stockholm syndrome and that is what he's scared of. He wants there to be a romance without the question of force. He wants Blitzø to want to stay without the power imbalance between them.

All this to say, nothing mostly, and I'm sure people have already figured this out but I wanted to put it into writing and out into the universe.
