Sonic Frontiers: Final Horizon

another little thing that i wanted to finish up in the beginning of this year.

yeah. the game should have ended like that originally. way cooler. the og final boss was kinda trash ngl, but this one was way cooler.

really love all the other character's abilities. they have unique styles that really change gameplay. just wish you didn't have to level up all of their defense and attack individually.

some of the bosses things are a bit vague but i figured them out eventually. it was THE CAMERA. I HATE THE CAMERA IN THIS GAME. IT SUCKS BALLS (in a bad way)

Dust: An Elysian Tail

first game to get taken off the backlog! i got this game on steam in... oh jeez 2014 maybe? took me 10 years to beat it because i had to start 3 different saves just to beat it without forgetting the story details lol

very fun time! the story had some interesting turns, dust is a badass, fidget is cute (and honestly her abilities hard carry combat) and i really enjoyed the art and animation. some of it definitely looks like it's from 2012, but a lot of it has held up very nicely! love how basically all the dialogue is voiced and animated, i wish there was more of that in modern games, but it must take a tremendous amount of effort so i get why it doesn't.

i do wish that combat was a bit more involved or that there were more options, but the dust storm is still one of my favorite attacks in a game ever. lots of fun making custom combos with the somewhat limited options there were. especially air dust storm. air dust storm the GOAT.

i honestly might go back in to 100% it, the game is quite fun, and i want to see what else the world has to offer.
