Pressed flowers

A childish guid on one of my comfort activities

After gathering the flowers you intend to press, clean them of dust, remove the roots if needed. Let them dry for a few hours if they still have dew on them. Prepare the book you want to press them in (preferably a hard cover).

After they are dried of dew, take a few napkins and place them on the paper. Place the flowers on them, close the book and put a weight on it, to keep the pages and flowers as flat as possible.

It should take 1-2 weeks for them to be fully pressed and dried. After that you can use them in collages or make resin jewelry out of them.

Study tips

For online school

1. Since we are already working with digital devices...

download apps that could help you understand better a subject, like Photomath and Brilliant (for math) or watch documentaries / educational YouTube videos

2. If you find that your eyes are getting red and dry,

Make sure you're holding your devices at an arm's length distance from your eyes, and from 20 to 20 minutes look away from them. A good app for this, is Eye Care

3. If you like listening to something while studying,

I recommend non distracting ambience sounds or songs with no lyrics like lo-fi or piano music

4. To stay organised,

Make a to-do list of the day or start a planner / bullet journal

5. It’s important to take breaks!

Make sure to take offline breaks, and if possible go for a walk outside. Don't forget to drink water.
