Heya! Apologies for the delay and thanks for the well wishes. Admittingly, I found myself enjoying imagining this kind of scenario. I just wish I had proper time to write my imagination out or even good mental health to do so. Anyways, I don't know if this was a writing request or a headcanon but I'm just gonna assume its headcanon. I hope you like it.

She fought with Jacob expressing her anger and her change of mind to proceed with her parents' plan of an unhappy married life with the Admiral.

>Jacob feels ashamed and guilty, he also didn't want her to be with anyone else but him, yet he could not express his feelings towards her properly because of his thoughts on how they both live in different worlds that are not meant to be.

>The moment the princess witnessed Jacob fighting and defending Red, She could not help but feel worried for him and when Jacob was plunged into the waters, injured. The princess did not hesitate to dive in and help Jacob, which led to people witnessing her actions and suspecting her intentions.

>At the end of all the troubles and Maisie's speech, the princess regained hope and vow to continue Maisie's intent and Jacob's declaration to end the hunt and to find the truth about their history despite revealing the flaw and mistakes of her family and that it might cost her life in doing so. Hello! I wanted to ask for a sea best headcanon with admiral Hornagold x hunter reader who is a very positive, cheery and kind person? Fem or GN is fine. Also I hope you are doing well!

Heya! Apologies for the delay and thanks for the well wishes. This was quite a challenging request since the Admiral only had a few scenes and interactions, but I still like to try it. I hope you like it!

>Admiral Hornagold has quite a stern and cocky look on his face, deemed an arrogant fool to some, and he is prideful in fulfilling his duty, especially going against the hunters. But who knows, it might just be a mask to hide his soft side from the world that only the kindest touch of a person can reveal it.

>Reader and Admiral Hornagold met for the first time at the castle, delivering the Brickleback with Reader's fellow Inevitable mates yet surprisingly Reader was not the kind of hunter they expected. The admiral would only look at Reader with a questioning look as the Reader stood out too differently from their mates.

>Reader would often catch the Admiral off guard by smiling so sweetly and innocent towards him, almost making him think that the Reader is incapable of killing such beasts.

>As the admiral tries to mock and criticized the hunter's deeds, the Reader would agree with some of his points yet knows how to counter with a kind, cheery tone that could make the admiral humble himself and question his honor/virtues.

Nothing made you smile more than Jacob Holland’s personal agony.

You couldn’t stop an arrogant grin from spreading over your lips at the sight of his crestfallen face, which was perfectly clear through the lens of your spyglass. Captain Crow’s ship, The Inevitable, was struggling to stay afloat in the distance. Despite being so close to a beast your crew had been tracking for weeks on end, you had quickly given the order to follow the Hunter’s Code and help Crow instead.

His crew cheered at the sight of you, relieved to finally have some help on the rough waves. You descended the quarterdeck as your ship eased to a stop. You finally settled against the wooden rail of the main deck, opposite of Crow, who had done the same in order to hold conversation between your respective vessels. 

On his left stood his loyal first mate, Sarah Sharpe, who saluted you with the blade of her knife. Jacob Holland took up Crow’s other side with crossed arms and a scowl as he glowered at you. Next to him, you could just barely make out a small head of dark curls over The Inevitable’s railings.

After an intense moment where Maisie is resting from her head injury that occurred from the incident on Rum Pepper Island. Captain Crow along with Jacob came to the deck and received cheers from the crew.

You heard them cheering then you frowned at them for celebrating Jacob's return and the capture of the Red Bluster.

Captain Crow ordered to tie you up as you went mad and tried to cut Red's ropes plus the fact that you kicked one of his crewmate's nose.

I never should've trusted him. You thought as you eyed Jacob angrily for the choice he has made. Jacob could only look at you with an apologetic face.

I hate him. I should've known, he'll always stay as an enemy. You thought furiously as you tried to squint your way out of the rope but failed to be free from it.

"ARE YOU HAPPY NOW, JACOB!? YOU'RE BACK TO WHERE YOU ALWAYS WANTED AND FOR WHAT!?"

Jacob looks at you, frowning as if he wanted to talk back to you but he hesitated and looked down to the ship's floor.

"Let her go, please. Please, Jacob." You pleaded, gulping down your hate to beg for Red's life to be spared.

"Ya hear that crew. She wants the beast free." Captain Crown beamed. Then he laughed, a hoarse one as if mocking your plea.

"30 years," he spoke as his laugh died out. Then he strides towards you as he speaks.

"For 30 years, I have waited for me revenge and that beast has been free. For 30 years!"

Captain Crow draws his sword and points it to your neck.

"Nothing will stand in my way for having me revenge."

You eyed the captain daringly, not one word spoken. Just your eyes fiercely expressing your hate towards his kind, the hunters, mercilessly killing the sea beasts.

Unexpectedly, the captain sheathed his sword and chuckled, looking at Jacob.

"This one's all vinegar too. Take her and trap her in with the girl. The only blood spilt today is that beast.”

“No!” You protested angrily as two crewmates grabs you by the arm and try to drag you away but you chose to let them struggle which resulted instead in your long sleeve being torn, exposing your right arm with a mark.

“Be gentle with her lads!" Jacob advised as he tries to go near you, trying to protect you.

“Stay away from me, hunter! I don't need your help!” You spatted angrily, stepping far away from him.

Jacob showed a hurtful look. Eyes widened, mouth opened. No words to speak. No other feelings but hurt.

Captain Crow suddenly strode towards you again and strongly grabs your arm to take a closer look at the mark.

“I’ve seen this before. You’re one of them. Protectors of the sea, I remembered. Them were real trouble too. Trying to protect them beasts. Them monsters! And you betray us by protecting them. A lot of good men died because of them!”

“Lives would’ve been spared if you lot wouldn’t have attacked them first.”

“Bah! I won’t hear you talk, traitor.”

You smirk as you attempt to provoke the captain further.

“Wouldn’t you say the same for Jacob?”

Without warning, Captain Crow gave you a hard slap from the back on his hand to your cheek. The slap was strong enough to tear a part of your cheek’s skin, blood visibly showing.

“Captain!” Jacob called out as if he was saying stop to the captain.

Captain Crow gave Jacob a hard glare and nodded to his two crew to continue dragging you in. Your head started to ache badly from the hard impact of the slap and so the two crewmates did not struggle further into dragging you to a cabin with a sleeping Maisie on the bed, recovering from her injury. The two crewmates left you both in your rooms.

You felt relieved to see Maisie safe and sound already. You plopped down on the floor near Maisie's bed and slowly drifted to sleep in hopes that your headache will stop just by sleeping.

You don't know how many hours have passed by when you slept but you slowly woke yourself with the ship at bay and find that Maisie is not in the room anymore.

Your headache indeed left when you had your sleep but when you touched your cheek where the tear has been, it was painful but there was no blood flowing out.

You stood up slowly despite the feeling of dizziness and look around the room, you see books piled on the floor and a broken open window, you guessed that Maisie was able to escape through that window but with help.

You placed your head outside of the window to see the view, on the left was a tied, unconscious Red and on your right was the view of the palace.

You gulped at the sight of the palace, dreading what they'll do to Red and possibly to Maisie if they found out what she's done.

I hope she'll be safe. Maisie, don't get killed out there.

Then you heard voices. Or rather Captain Crow's to be exact, giving a speech.

You ran quickly to the door, panicking.

Red's going to get killed! I need to get out. I need to stop him. You thought as you tried to open the door vigorously then kick it as hard as you can.

It was a good thing that the cabin door wasn't as hard as it looks and it can easily be broken down by repeated beatings with your foot.

Once the door broke down you hurriedly ran towards the deck as fast and discreet as you can. You hid by the companion wing, spying.

Fortunately, all the crew including Jacob were at the edge of the ship looking at Captain Crow as he marched towards Red's center, a majestic lance in his hand.

I need to stop him. I have to. But how?

You started to feel anxious and overthink what to do.

You only thought of one possibility and it's to barge straightforwardly to Captain Crow and drag him down to the waters with you with a hard plunge.

The sacrifice is worth it. You thought as you prepare to give your life to save Red.

"...until the bones of every one of them beasts, lies at the bottom of the sea." Captain Crow readied his lance, pointing down and ready to strike.

You were ready to sprint too. But you couldn't move when you heard his voice.

"Captain!" Jacob called, stopping the captain from plunging his lance down.

You were shocked to see Jacob trying to face Captain Crow, disobeying his order.

Is he trying to save Red?

You looked at them as they converse.

No. He probably has other ideas. He's a hunter, why would he?

You look down at your shoes, trying to think clearly about a plan to save Red but instead, you started to feel conflict from hating Jacob more to hating him less.

He's an enemy. I'm his and Red's enemies. Why would he? You assured yourself further with such thought.

You suddenly heard swords clashing and people gasping with fright. You look up to their sight again and found Jacob and the Captain fighting.

You stared at the sight wide-eyed and slowly leaving the companion wing to walk towards the edge of the ship with Jacob's crew watching with worried looks on their faces.

As you slowly walked towards the edge, you also couldn't stop looking at the fight scene and thinking.

I hate him. He betrayed my trust too.

*Clang*

I thought he changed but I was wrong.

*Clang*

I don't care if he gets hurt. I shouldn't care.

*Clang*

Then you heard Jacob's grunt as he gets kicked by the gut and falls. He let out a painful groan.

Jacob! your internal voice screams at his name with great worry, a part of you that you don't want to acknowledge.

You reached the edge of the ship, near Jacob's crew but they did not pay you mind.

I should be taking advantage of this. I can go and cut Red's bonds. Then I'll find Maisie and we'll escape together.

But then you saw the Captain ready to strike an armless Jacob.

You feel a rush of panic.

I don't care. I shouldn't care.

But the feeling inside your heart that you're trying to hide away betrays your thoughts.

This time, you allow yourself to feel worried for him.

Fortunately, Jacob was able to deflect the captain's blow with a knife but unfortunately, Jacob was too slow for the captain's other strike, this time injuring his right arm. The captain hit Jacob with a hard blow from the hilt of his sword and sends Jacob down to the waters with a hard drop.

"JACOB!" You and his other crewmates screamed with panic and worry.

You saw some of his crew leaving the deck to try and save Jacob. You, however, stared down at the waters in front of you.

I can dive. It'll hurt a bit but I can do it. I can save him.

You readied yourself to jump then stop for a moment as you heard a loud snap from Red's rope. Her bonds was cut and Red is slowly waking.

Must be Maisie, you gratefully thought.

I hope you're safe, I'll come find you and we'll escape together.

Without further hesitations, you jumped off from the ship and dive to the waters looking for Jacob.

You swim towards the spot he fell and dive underwater, you found an unconscious Jacob, drowning deep to the waters.

You swim as fast as you can to reach him.

You grip Jacob's arms tightly and with much strength you have, you swim upwards dragging Jacob along with you.

Both of you were able to reach the surface, with you coughing the water out and Jacob still unconscious.

"Hey hunter, wake up."

You called out as you try to move his body to wake him up.

"Hey hunter, wake up!"

You called out again, but still no response from him.

You started to worry for his life.

"Jacob." you cupped his cheeks and raised his head slightly. He then coughed out water from his mouth.

You let out a sigh of relief.

Jacob slowly opens his eyes and gave a small smile when he sees you.

"Y/N"

"You're safe now, hunter."

You don't know what to respond further or what to do at that moment so you slowly let go of your hands from his face and stand up. Attempting to leave him alone.

"Wait, Y/N!"

Jacob called out as he tries to stand up with a grunt. He covers the wound on his right arm with his left hand and walks slowly towards you.

You faced him, confused about what to feel.

"What is it, hunter?"

Jacob gives a sad look when he heard you calling him "hunter" than his name.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to betray your trust."

You look at him in the eye, still no response from you.

"I didn't know the Captain has a weapon that can take down Red."

"Red?" you mockingly repeated, "you're calling her Red now?"

"Aye." Jacob responds firmly.

You frowned.

"We're enemies, Jacob. I'm done trusting you. I can't do it again. The lives of the sea beasts I'm trying to protect will continue to be at risk besides isn't it your heroic duty to kill them? Aren't you the hero of the story? Aren't you everyone's hero?"

Jacob looks to the ground.

You turned your back on him, walking away and feeling the ache in your heart as you say those words.

"You can be a hero and still be wrong." Jacob spoke.

You stopped your tracks and look at him again as if listening to him one last time.

"That's what Maisie told me."

You suddenly feel a sense of calmness as if you're happy to know what Jacob is acknowledging.

You let out a soft sigh.

"Wonderful girl, ain't she?" You remarked.

"Aye, she is. And so are you."

"Jacob-"

"Y/N, I never got the chance to say this before, but I'll say it now. Meeting you may have been the most annoying moment of my life, second to when I met Maisie. We don't get along very well either."

"Jee, I wonder why?" you sarcastically inserted.

"But as I spend time with you and Maisie, I've realized some things and finally come up with a choice."

You stared at his eyes, anticipating his next words.

"Maybe...maybe Maisie's idea of a family ain't that bad. A house to stay in, a child to take care of, simple life on land. No more hunting sea beasts. No more killing."

You felt shocked and wide-eyed with tears as you hear those words. Your thoughts were wrong. You were wrong. Jacob did change and he changed for the better.

"And I don't want you to be my enemy, Y/N," he continued speaking as he slowly walks towards you and hold both of your hands, staring at you lovingly.

"I want you to come live with us. Be part of our family too."

"Jacob. I-"

You struggled to say the words out of your mouth. Everything was overwhelming and your feelings for him are starting to come clear. Your hatred towards him disappeared, now clearly realizing that you love him. But you couldn't say the words to him.

"Y/N,"

Jacob placed his right hand on your cheek caressing it gently as he continues to stare at you lovingly.

"I love you." He confessed with his gentle voice.

You weren't able to respond something back to him as Jacob was already leaning close to your lips and kissing you with passion.

As your lips parted and eyes opening, both of you are becoming aware of the ruckus in your surrounding caused by Red, still feeling drowsy from the poison.

"We'll have to continue this later. Go find Maisie! Make sure she's safe!"

Jacob nodded at you and starts to run but he stops for a moment and then looks at you.

"I'll be okay. Go." You assured him.

Jacob nodded and starts to run away to look for Maisie, both of you hoping that she was safe.

As you run to safety, you couldn't help but think as well.

How unexpected. Jacob Holland, the infamous sea beast hunter. Once, my enemy is now my lover.

Your tags put into words sooo many things that have been bouncing around my brain too!!!  Like Jacob saying its no place for a child and then Maisie calling him a weapon against nature like maybe he is sooo good at it because he’s been doing it his entire life, but he clearly is aware that wasn’t safe or good really. And the way he wants to send Maisie back to the Children’s Home so that she’ll live a long life, as opposed to the great death he clearly sees waiting for him.  I also had the realization last time I watched it that Sarah was on the Inevitable when Crow first fished Jacob out of the water, and then when she says she doesn’t like kids, it occured to me that she was there for Jacob being brought up, and how much of a nuisance was he to her. Because I bet she was his cool knife aunt too.  It’s like you said, none of these peole had any business raising a child but he still turned out okay, but clearly exhibits a responsible attitude that is less present in everyone else on board. I mean you even see it with the cabin boy, who is a teenager, but Jacob still tells him to hide under cover where it is safer.   idk I just…. Jacob breaking the cycle of child endangerment and I love how often you can tell he’s thinking along those lines, running to get Maisie off the deck when red first attacks, cutting her fruit thing for her so the knife doesn’t slip again, telling her to cut the line when they’re in Red, trying so hard to send her back to safety, etc. and like it Stands Out SO MUCH when he does endanger her when she’s stuck in the palm tree !!! Like its so clearly showing that his drive to kill Red is overpowering his usual reason and Maisie is scared and so are we!!   anyways this is a long rant to say I’m so glad we are on the same wavelength appreciating Jacob and this Movie

Yes! Please! Let’s listen to the children who still look at war and violence with terror and revulsion instead of resignation. Instead of “this is how it’s always been.” It takes a child to ask “why?” It takes a child to look at the bad parts of our world and ask why no one has bothered to change it.

But it also takes every last person in the chain of command to put a weapon down. To make the personal choice to no longer stand for an unnecessary war. “Shouldn’t we fire?” One man asks. “No,” says the woman in command. Each person who hesitated to fire when the queen gave orders. If any one of them had fired, as we know from Jacob firing the gun, would’ve broken the moment to lay down arms. Each person’s decision to choose peace impacted the end of the war.

I will live a long, happy life. Because dying a great death, an honorable death, is a myth to idolize war by those who profit off of war. The ones who only have power when there is fighting. And none of those who died are dishonorable or no longer a hero, right? They knew no other option. They can be wrong and still be heroes.

This movie fights against the influx of child soldier media by simply asking to no longer need soldiers.

I hope we all can live a long, happy life.

•What type of woman he likes:

-He likes a woman who can tease him in a witty and flirty way. He won’t show or admit that he’s flattered or even flustered by the teases but he secretly and definitely gets turn on by it sometimes when she tease about trying to seduce him to bed.

- Jacob is such a smooth talker, he’s smart enough to understand the situation and use words of encouragement or persuasion to let people/person change their minds. He’ll probably likes a woman who can intellectually or conversantly challenge him in the same way until one of them loses and gives a handsome/beautiful smirks to one another as a sign of admiration. But it turns him off if the words used are too insulting or disrespectful or just too off topic.

-He likes a woman he can comfortably cuddle with and by comfortable I mean that he won’t choose a specific time or day to just cuddle with her but would randomly and proudly cuddle her in any place possible be it in the private quarters or the ship deck. Another meaning for comfortable cuddling for him is the opportunity to lay his head on her chest (between her breasts), feeling her heartbeat and dozing off to sleep, smiling as she caress his head too. At times, this could turn him on and suddenly offer kisses on her chest then wohoo.

-He likes a woman who he can have fun or adventure with. Whom he can share memories, someone who can listen to his deep talks about something personal, and who he can try to show off his spear skills (but she just can’t hold back her laughs at times that he fails embarrassingly).

-I think most of all he likes a woman who has a sincere heart, someone genuine on what they feel, someone who is compassionate to others, and willing to help others despite the risks. She’s got guts and the courage to stand up for what’s right. Jacob would definitely be at awe and his heart won’t stop pounding for admiring such a woman.
