My current Alice in Wonderland collection

Probably one of the most uncommon things i have in my My little pony collection is this cardboard G3 Mlp display stand. I got it yeaaaars ago from Tarjoustalo (nowadays those stores are called Tokmanni). They had the ponies they sell in it, but i happened to buy the last pony on it and reaallly wanted the stand, so i went to ask if i can have it or if they gonna use it again for more ponies. They would of trashed it and put the ponies to a normal self on the toyarea, so they let me have it. Unfortunately the sun has kinda faded some of it from the back and from one of the sides, back before i got myself sun blocking curtains to my bedroom i had very thin ones that let all sun thru. I emptied it for photos, i keep books etc on it.

Help Pinkie Pie!!

I found this poor girl at a charity shop today. Not sure what's wrong with her tail, but it's stiff, hard and leaves a brown/black residue. I think it could be a case of severe rusting. Any advice on how I can fix her is greatly appreciated.
