-Wait, why was she crying? What did he do?-"Uh… wow, I know tha’ I ain’t in th’ good books wit’ th’ otha’ Demon Lords, but huh blastin’ me wit’out my knowledge? Tha’s a new one for sure."

-And after a bit of hesitation, he offers her a french fry.-

"I'unno wha's supposed t' bother me more, th' fact tha' some human just kicked his clock and woke him up or th' fact tha' she was partnered t' Lilithmon. Ya don' see somethin' like that often. 

"So wha' was tha' human kid tryin' t' do there? I mean, teamin' up wit' someone who wanted t' take over her world?"

"Well, I'unno why he wasn' more Demon Lord-like, but as fer me... let's just say 'm in this job outta obligation rather than me actually enjoyin' it. But I got my reasons fer doin' it."

"Well then there ya go. Who knows, maybe yer gonna run int' him again. Th'  Digital  World's pretty weird like tha' with its coincidences an' stuff."

-Of course then there was the  possibility that he might return sans memory, in which he'd really get to start fresh.-

"Ahhh... backstabbin' an' betrayal from all  sides. An' of course we don' get along! I mean, th' Demon Lords technically work towards the same goal but none of 'em are so willing as t' actually share tha' power if they get it. Every 'mon for themselves after that.

"Huh, an' I guess tha' makes Leviamon one a' th' only two left- tha' is, if you an' yer buddy didn't already beat Belphemon. But jus' be glad tha' they're willing t' backstab each otha' at a moment's notice. If they're all scrambling fer power, tha' means they can't be united t' fight."

-He shrugs, not really sure if he was being consoling or not.-

-His confusion is apparent. So far as he knew, the Tamers were those who chose their partners. And he only knew that handful from Shinjuku. Still, the way this sounded, it seemed there was a whole system set up.

He shrugs a bit, not really knowing what to say.
