My stance on Dumbledore’s sex life
JKR: Dumbledore is gay. Me: …okay. JKR: He was in love with Grindelwald. Me: Makes sense. JKR: His unrequited love for him was part of the reason why he believed Grindelwald so easily. Me: Unrequited?! So his stupid ass was just led on like a fucking looser?! JKR (obviously not listening): After that, Dumbledore swore off love and lived in celibate. Me: But doesn’t that defeat the whole moral of his backstory, which is that he can’t be trusted with POWER rather than love?! And isn’t it both sad and incredibly stupid that one of the greatest wizards swore off love because of some terrible relationship choices he made when he was like 18?! Like, people his age get into bad relationship all the time! Did you just sentenced good old Albus to the lifetime of loneliness, Joanne?! The only gay character you have?! DO YOU HATE GAY PEOPLE, JOANNE?! JKR: But they definitely fucked. Me (yelling): Well, that’s the least you could do!

hoe, does that mean we will ACTUALLY get some canon gay stuff or will it be just… uh… hinted at?

Grindeldore Headcanon
So you know how Albus signs his letters like this? He uses the Deathly Hallows symbol as an A
I’m not sure if it’s actually canon, but I’ve seen it on Tumblr ( I saw it for the first time in Thirty five owls) that Gellert signs his letters like this
What if Gellert has a middle name? What if it starts with A?
What if it’s Aurelius?
And yes, I know that Aurelius isn’t a German name but Bathilda was British and she was Gellert’s great aunt, which means that at least one of Gellert’s grandparents was British. He might’ve gotten the name because of them.
It doesn’t really add to the story but it’s one more proof of how Gellert Grindelwald is the most absolute drama queen and I live for that

David Yates did an interview with Den of Geek and confirmed that Dumbledore and Grindelwald had a sexual relationship!
““Jo talks about how Dumbledore and Grindelwald had a sexual relationship and an emotional relationship, and she’s more interested in the emotional relationship,” added Heyman. “It has more complexity and more depth, more room to explore. What do you need to see to satisfy those viewers? People tend to look at things in very broad strokes, such is the nature of the news cycle. They’re either having sex or they’re not. But actually David and Jo have shown a tender, intimate, emotional and ideologically complex, layered, rich relationship. That’s much more interesting than seeing two people, heterosexual or homosexual, shagging.” – David Yates
I just passed out.
Lol, the whole interview is how it’s kind of shallow and missing the point to focus on whether or not they shagged, and that’s true.
Still: jfkd;jdks;afjask; EEEEEEEEE
THANK YOU FOR THAT, ANON.

Headcanon that Bathilda Bagshot was a lesbian, was very well aware of what was going on with Albus and Gellert and knew they needed a push in the right direction so she always feigned to be busy and needed the house to herself so that Gellert would go over to the Dumbledore’s. Like give me Bathilda Bagshot as a slight scatter brained but exceptionally brilliant self-sufficient woman in pants and rolled up shirt sleeves in a cluttered house full of letters and notes, mingling into her nephew’s and neighbour’s personal life bc she sees right through them and knows poor Albus needs and wants much more than a friend.

Anyway, I, for one, cannot wait to get all those beautiful, tragic, intense, heartbreaking flashback scenes of gellert and albus in the summer of 1899 in the following movies and to getting to see a glimpse of this intense and beautiful soulmatey romance that shaped the history of the wizarding world

Do you think Grindelwald reciprocated Dumbledore's feelings for him?
Yes. If you’d asked me before Crimes of Grindelwald and all the cast/production interviews, I’d have been less certain. But now we’ve been told repeatedly that they “were in love with each other” and I believe it. Also, Gellert’s face in the flashbacks was not a disinterested face.
We also know that Gellert gave up his life refusing to tell Voldemort where the wand was, even though he knew. And that Harry suspected it was because he didn’t want Voldemort to desecrate Albus’ tomb.
I strongly suspect that love is something different to Gellert than it is to Albus, but I do think he felt very strongly and probably loved Albus in his own way.

They're getting married..
The funny thing is that red roses represent love and are something you'd give to someone on valentine's day.
The blue roses however represent something mysterious and unreachable.
Do what you will with that information.
