The Crown of Truth is the story of a mouse named Richard who is looking for the truth behind his existence and ends up getting more than he bargained for. This is the film with which I graduated from the VAV department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2014.

Four blue rectangles are forced out of their safe homes and thrust into adventure. When confronted by a powerful enemy they must team up with strangers to defeat it, reaching their full potential in the process.
This animation was created to be seen on a large (cinema) screen. In this work I tried to reverse the history of cinema. What if instead of from large (cinema screen) to small (TV, smart phone) we had to think the other way around?
I created this for the E-cinema program in the Eye Film Institute.
