RBB Thoughts

I’ve always thought RBB was “larrie-baiting,” but even so, there were aspects of it that bothered me. I definitely took RBB’s presence as proof that something happened between Louis and Harry, cause I think in a version of reality where Louis and Harry were never together, they would have had it shut down, no matter who was behind it, especially Louis, cause it was revving up Larries. They definitely wouldn’t have actively participated in it. The thing about the bears is that it changed Larries’ patterns of thinking forever. Before, Larries were looking for longing looks or shared clothes or any kind of evidence that the boys were spending time together (during the separation). They weren’t actively trying to read into every single aspect of the boys’ lives, assigning meaning to every article of clothing worn, song listened to, or location spotted… at least not to the extreme it has reached today. No, before RBB, being a Larrie was a little more simple than that. Being a Larrie meant that you thought these two boys that clearly cared deeply for each other and were in the same band also had a romantic and physical relationship, for the most part. This, in itself, is not a crazy theory. Closeting happens, interband relationships happen, gay affairs happen. Believing in this does not automatically make you sound insane. Want to know what does? Want to know what totally discredits your belief that two boybanders were in a secret same-sex relationship? The words, “they were speaking to us through rainbow teddy bears.” That was it. RBB was the moment that many fans took the plunge from “I think maybe this relationship is or was real” to full-blown tin-hat “nothing is real but Larry, everything is orchestrated by management, and we are being manipulated at every turn, cause the gay rainbow bears told me so!”  It created a new, more aggressive, breed of Larrie. But why? Why would management agree to this? Why would the boys agree to this if they were attempting to go off and do solo projects? Why would the do this after years of separation? Why would they do this if they had broken-up as a “couple” and were no longer together in that way? I will tell you exactly why: they got to keep the Larrie fandom throughout MITAM promo, despite a pregnancy announcement, while simultaneously making the “Larrie story ™” so muddled and unbelievable that going forward no credible news outlet would ever seriously discuss it. It made the fans that once simply believed in love, seem completely unhinged to the rest of the fandom and outside observers. It gave Larries that didn’t read into things this much or believe the wilder theories seem unhinged by association to the ones that did take RBB seriously. It cleared Louis’ and Harry’s names. It allowed them to go forward into solo projects (and stardom) without their obvious actions as teenagers hanging over their heads. It made bringing up “Larry” in interviews a taboo subject, unless you brought up RBB too, and discussed how wild fan theories are. It also cleared management’s name, of course, and they got a nice little boost by creating fan engagement right before the last album was released. It was a win-win for everyone. In many ways, it was totally genius. Manipulative, sure. But genius. These new thoughts and revelations about the bears, however, confirmed to me, all the more, that there is no version of reality in which management or the boys would have allowed this to happen if Louis and Harry were never together.

Thank you! I think Louis and Harry sharing clothes is definitely a great indication of closeness and intimacy. As my mom so humorously put it, “It’s like they share a closet!”

I want to start off by stating that early on they all shared clothes, but as time went on it became more and more of a Louis + Harry thing.

There are so many instances of clothes sharing that I think it would be impossible for me to list them all, but here are some. They shared shirts and sweaters.

Louis even wore one of Harry’s shirts to Eleanor’s graduation (which was a semi-formal event).

They shared hats.

They shared glasses.

They shared socks.

They shared jackets.

Harry wore this jacket a lot in 2011.

And he let Louis wear it at Leeds Festival when he was cold.

Louis also wore the same sweater Harry was wearing.

Louis and Harry wore matching shirts (in different colors) for Louis’ 21st birthday party in 2012.

Then, in 2014, Louis chose to wear the shirt Harry had worn to Jay’s wedding.

During the filming of the Midnight Memories music video, Harry wore a big coat.

But he gave it to Louis when Louis was cold. Harry would rather be cold than let Louis be cold.

Possibly one of the most disgusting things Louis ever did was wear Harry’s dirty shirt right off his back in November 2014. (This also happened to be on his anniversary with El.)

The belt mark proves it.

Lastly, there is the boyfriend jacket.  It started out as Harry’s.

Then Louis started wearing it.

He even wore it in the Midnight Memories video.

Years passed, and then on January 1, 2017, Louis decided to wear it again and take a selfie to show off the fact that he was wearing it.

The jacket then disappeared again until the anniversary of Midnight Memories, in November 2018.

A note about the boyfriend jacket: People claim it is not the same jacket cause Louis’ has a rip in the shoulder. Either the rip occurred after Harry gave it to him, or the rip was hidden by the angle of Harry’s arm in the original pictures of Harry. If you look at the stitching and the straps around the wrists, it is quite obvious that it is the exact same jacket.

My opinion is that you’d expect members of a boyband to share clothes, and as stated before, they all did, especially in the early days. Louis and Harry, however, shared clothes throughout their entire time in One Direction. They shared clothes more than all the other boys combined, and often Louis seemed sentimental about these shared clothes. I think this was one way of feeling closer to each other amidst the chaos and separation due to closeting. I’d definitely classify this as proof of an intimate relationship. We can also use this as proof that they did not have a falling out/become enemies in early 2012. Add it to the pile.

Harry + Camille Timeline

An objective timeline. No commentary or opinions. Just the dates and facts.

2016 - At some point this year Harry followed Camille on Instagram and in response she appeared to have made this video.

7/8/17 - Camille’s friend posted a picture with Harry on her Instagram. They were apparently in Corsica (where Camille’s parents have a place?). Rumor?

7/17/17 - The Heart Monitor Test: Nick Grimshaw was showing Harry pictures of people and things to see how his heart rate changed. He remained calm when shown a picture of Camille, but stated that he didn’t know her. Right after that, he looked off Camera to Harry Lambert and Lou Teasdale to tell them he “hated them all so much” and they were idiots (for telling Nick Grimshaw to put a picture of Camille in there). His heart rate went up at this time. Nick said he reached out to Harry and Lou for “some triggers” and “it worked.”

7/?/17 - A fan took a picture with Harry out on the streets of New York and Camille was in the background. (Possibly 7/30 based on Harry’s shirt.)

7/30/17 - Harry and Camille were spotted at a Fleetwood Mac concert together.

Camille and Harry were also photographed together at a party with Alexa Chung, who reportedly introduced them to each other.

7/?/17 - Date unknown, but Harry and Camille were photographed together.

7/31/17 - It is reported Harry and Camille are dating.

8/1/17 -Tess Ward, the girl Harry was previously linked to in May 2017, posted a caption on her Instagram shading the article that stated Harry and Camille were “besotted.”

8/17/17 - Camille wore a Pink Floyd shirt that was clearly Harry’s. She posted a video of herself wearing it on Instagram.

8/31/17 - Harry is seen wearing Camille’s ring. He wore it on his pinky finger, while she wore it on her index finger. He wore it most of their relationship and a bit after their break-up was announced. 

9/3/17 - Camille posted an Insta story that had Harry’s voice in the background.

9/14/17 - Harry was photographed at a restaurant with Camille. 

They were then spotted together again later that evening leaving a restaurant. Harry appeared to be carrying her purse. Harry was spotted in Japan wearing the same sweater Camille is wearing recently. It is unclear if the sweater was shared or they each had one.

9/20/17 - Camille was spotted at Harry’s L.A. show. Camille posted a video to her Insta story of fans swaying and singing along to From the Dining Table.

1/17/18 - A photo surfaced that is heavily debated on the internet.  Some say it is a manip. One person said Camille’s face was photoshopped over Gemma. I also read that the picture was taken by Anne’s friend and posted on Facebook. Some people said management photoshopped it (though, I don’t see the reason why since they could have just taken a picture of them together). It was supposedly taken in Homes Chapel around Christmastime when Camille and Harry were visiting Anne. It looks like Anne’s kitchen in the background. The picture is super grainy/pixilated, if it is not a manip, likely cause it is a crop into a bigger picture posted on Facebook.

A larrie tried to lie about the origin of the pic by posting a bad photoshop job on her Larry instagram account. Some people believed it… even if it was a joke.

1/23/18 - Harry and Camille were photographed out in L.A.

1/28/18 - Harry and Camille were photographed out and about together in L.A. 

3/13/18 - Camille attended Harry’s show in Paris and took a picture with Harry and fans backstage.

Fan report:

3/17/18 - Sarah, Harry’s bandmate, followed Camille on Instagram.

3/19/18 - Camille and Sarah both posted things on Instagram indicating they were at The Louisiana Museum of Art in Denmark.

Later some fans stated that they met Harry cause their father worked at Louisiana Museum of Art. Harry gave their father passes. This indicates Harry was probably with Camille and Sarah.

3/19/18 - Camille was spotted at Harry’s show in Denmark. There is a video of her dancing with some other people.

3/20/18 - Sarah started following Camille on Instagram. 

4/3/18 - Camille was spending time with Kid Harpoon and his wife. Kid Harpoon is friends with Harry and worked with him on his first album.

Unknown date: An interview with Camille in French came out after their announced break-up, but likely from before they broke up. She mentioned her boyfriend twice.

Body language difference

The Deadlock is a body-crushing hug that almost borders on a fear of letting go. In this hug, both people intertwine themselves as tightly as they possibly can, squeezing out every last drop of air separating them.

That hickey post has reminded me of something! What do you think about the hickeys back in the day and that arm bruise Harry always seemed to have? I remember the other boys then weirdly being like we all give each other hickeys saying it was jokes (poor cover up or genuine stupid thing they did)!

I am so glad you brought this up. The other boys really did try to say that they all gave each other hickies/love bites, and while I am sure playing around maybe one or two of those happened, Louis and Harry remained covered in them for most of the second half of 2011 well into 2012. There were, of course, random instances after that where they’d have them, but it definitely seemed to be an early-on-in-the-relationship kind of thing. They even admitted to giving them to each other, which is the wildest part.

The best part is that Harry “wasn’t dating anyone” when he had his, and Louis often had them on tour when Eleanor was not around. Antis, explain.

My personal favorite: Louis’ tummy love bite. 

Harry also once had this bite mark that was hilariously confirmed by a dentist to be from Louis.

But the bruises were a bit much.  Harry had a almost a permanent bruise on his left arm. I can only think of one thing that would explain this, but I won’t say. I will let your imaginations take you there. P.S. - Harry’s ship tattoo so conveniently covered this spot, so we never saw the bruises again.

But you know what? Sometimes Louis had bruises too.

Conclusion: they were the worst.

Anne + Jay

Let me take a moment to remind you that Harry’s mom, Anne, was best friends with Louis’ mom, Jay.

They would tweet each other all the time back in the early days, when things were simpler.  Johannah/Jay actually spent her birthday one year with Anne, Harry and Louis.

They would also tweet each other Larry videos that were romantic in nature. This is a real thing that happened.

Jay talked about something the boys shared being at Anne’s and going into their home they were planning on sharing together (months before they actually moved in together).

And bonus!  This actually has nothing to do with Anne and Jay, but to show just how close the families are, I thought I would share this.  This was an exchange between Jay, Louis’ mom, and Mike, Harry’s stepbrother.  It almost seems to imply that the families would spend Christmas together, but he would be missing it that year.  Why in the world would Louis’ mom be friends with Harry’s stepbrother and why would the families spend Christmas together!?  You know why.

Hi, I'm really new being a Larrie, and I read something about a signals that they used to use in 2011/2012. Something like dumps up. What did they mean?

Boy are you in for a treat, cause this is one of the most adorable Larry things to ever happen.  I often forget they did that, but it is just so good.  

First of all, you have to understand, Harry really wanted to learn sign language.  It was something he was passionate about, so it looks like he and Louis learned a bit of it together. Harry said this once:

So, yes.  They would often do this thumbs up hand signal that seemed to mean “make love,” “lover,” or “sweetheart.” Sometimes they did it rather publicly, and other times they tried to be more sly about it on stage.

And while “sweetheart/lover” was what they signed the most to each other, they actually seemed to sign a good bit of other stuff to each other.  There is a great post on it here. Unfortunately, once the fans, and probably management, caught on to what they were doing, they stopped.  I think this was something they mostly did in 2012.

Have u seen the posts about the awards going around? What do u think about it?

For those that don’t know, Lottie posted a video of her boyfriend playing with Ernest and all these awards were in the background.  I don’t actually know the details on the awards.  I haven’t done the research, but apparently there are a few too many awards there for them to be just Louis’ collection.  It is believed some are Harry’s. So, if that is true that there are too many awards there, then what do I believe?  Yeah, the others are probably Harry’s.  Who else would they belong to?  I don’t think it confirms they are presently living together, but it is definitely proof that they were living together (likely longer than the official story says) and Louis still has them.

Also, in 2015 when the boys were asked what they did with their awards, Harry said he gave them to his mom, and this was Llouis’ reaction:

Earlier today I posted this picture of Louis and claimed Harry took it.  I am a professional photographer, so someone asked me to prove it.  Easy. (It is still speculation, but you’ll get my point.)

Here are the other non-professional black and white pictures on Louis’ instagram account.  He uses standard instagram filters for them.  Usually phone pics. Nothing special. They are low contrast and don’t have any true, deep blacks.

And here are some pictures Harry took. They are high contrast, with deep, dark blacks and shadows.  It is very much his signature style, somewhat unique, and not just an Instagram filter. The pictures also appear to be taken with something other than a phone since they are sharper.

Hi! Is there any evidence of H getting to visit Doncaster Dome? I feel like I saw something that kind of indicated it once, but I can’t remember where. In That One Interview, when L says that’s where he’d take a girl in his hometown, he says it right to H, and H says ‘would ya’ in a way that sounds kind of surprised & pleased. Then in that interview where H can’t talk, they talk to fans who are at the dome & H keeps looking toward L & doing the nose scrunch. Anything to this? Thanks! ❤️ yr blog!

Thank you!  I am not sure if there is great evidence for that.  I think the story is that Harry and Louis spent Louis’ birthday there in 2011. I feel like it is a bit of a Larry legend, but I will share the moments you talked about. 

2012

First of all, I love how Louis was dating Eleanor in 2012, but he is talking about some hypothetical girl he would take on a date, rather then stating some real date he took her on in his hometown.  Also, look how he is stroking Harry’s arm with his fingertips.  Harry looks rather pleased with Louis’ answer.

2015

Harry has no control over his face. I would gather from these two interviews that  Harry has, in fact, been to the Donny Dome.

Hello, sorry I’m a little new to this but how do we know Harry was with Louis when jay died?? I know he went to see Louis’ xfactor performance but that’s about it

The X Factor performance was just days after Jay passed away. Harry was in London the day she died, so I don’t think he was in the room with Louis when it happened, but he was in England and was clearly there for Louis’ performance, so it is assumed he was there to support him in other ways as well at that time.

I’ve received several asks about the Lairports and while I don’t know everything, I will tell you what I’ve got!  All this happened in 2015.

February 4 - L.A.

Harry was spotted saying goodbye to Nadine Leopold, his rumored girlfriend at the time, from Go Greek, the yogurt shop were 90% of their relationship took place.  To my knowledge, this was the last time they saw each other, though the announcement of their break-up would come a few weeks later.  Take note of the small rip in the shoulder of Harry’s shirt.

He then went to LAX to get on a plane.  Louis was also photographed at LAX before their flight, but none of the other boys were, to my knowledge. Update accounts were stating Liam flew out ahead of Louis, Harry and Zayn.

February 5 - Lairport 1.0: The boys arrive in Sydney.

This was a big deal cause Louis and Harry had not been photographed traveling together in years.  Honestly, possibly since early 2012.  They arrived in Sydney, both looking happy and beautiful, and they appear to have gotten into the same car.  There were two cars waiting outside for 1D members.  

Oh, but Harry’s shirt rip did seem significantly more ripped, and the underneath of his sleeve was also ripped.  People like to make a big deal about that. I will let you figure out why.

So, Niall was already in Australia at the time, and apparently Liam was photographed arriving a bit earlier.

But after Harry and Louis exited the airport and got in their car, Zayn came out too.  I do not know how long after this was.  He definitely did not walk out with Louis and Harry.  I’d assume all three of them flew together.

The main thing about Lairport 1.0 that was such a big deal was the fact that Louis and Harry hadn’t been seen flying publicly together in years. They appeared to be really happy and get in the same car together. So, we can conclude, at the very least, that the rumors that they were enemies were very much not true at this point in time.

So, onto Lairport 2.0 and Scrabble.  I don’t know why this is a big deal cause all the boys definitely traveled together this time.  So, we technically don’t know who Harry was playing Scrabble with.  It might have been the whole band.

June 23 - The boys land in Gothenburg, Sweden.

It appears as if all the boys flew together.  At least Liam was with them.  

Harry posted this travel Scrabble game on his Instagram that day and everyone went nuts at the idea of Larry playing Scrabble on a plane.

But here is the thing… they flew together several other times that year!  So, they went from not traveling together for years, to traveling together a decent bit in 2015.

June 27 - Finland

They got off a private jet together with Lottie and others.

July 21 - Van Nuys

Is this actually what people consider Lairport 2.0?  I don’t even know.  The boys both got out of what may have been the same car, just different sides.  It appears there were two photographers shooting from different angles.

And then they both boarded the same private jet.

But… so did Liam and Niall.  It was once more, a whole band thing.  It is really nice that they were no longer being separated, though.  I haven’t looked at every picture from every time the boys were photographed flying, so I don’t know if there were more times, but whatever weird ban was previously up against them flying together was removed.

The tweet happened just 1 day after the FOUR Hangout, where, when asked if there were any rumors the boys wanted to clear up Louis said he couldn’t think of any and then clearly stated, “no.”  Harry said he quite liked some of the rumors.  Ben Winston wanted to strangle them.

The German Wetten Das performance:  The performance had to be delayed cause Louis and Harry were missing.  While being interviewed after, they are asked what held them up.  All the boys give different answers at once.  Louis says it was “just a bit of banter” while Harry stated, “I lost my trousers” (bless him).  They also both adjust themselves while answering this question.  Louis is sweatier than usual.  Niall’s face is telling.  Zayn looks like he in fact decided to leave the band at that moment.  (Skip to 4:40)
