Because Hiro showed up this episode and I'm in the mood to rattle on about stupid ships Megumi/Hiro lmao...

- No doubt Megumi likes pressing his buttons...like, he knows not to go too far, but he does enjoy getting Hiro riled up

- They do bicker occasionally. Mostly about minor stuff, though it does get heated at times...Haru or Kisa will sometimes play the peanut gallery and be all "Just kiss already!" Hiro gets embarrassed by it...meanwhile, Megumi may or may not be contemplating it...sometimes verbally, and that only makes Hiro more flustered

- They're not the most affectionate pair...not physically anyways. But the way they look at each other sometimes...it doesn't take any onlooker long to realize there's something up.

- Megumi's made a habit of scaring the crap out of him...Hiro tries to get back at him but the win-to-lose ratio is definitely leaning more in goth boy's favor

- Of course, Hiro's caught Megumi off guard a few times. And it's apparently a sight to see, but you ain't getting that intel from Megumi lmao

- For all their teasing, though, they really do care about each other. Megumi adores Saki, there's no denying that. But, he finds it easier to confide in Hiro about certain things that he's not even comfortable bringing up in front of his sister. Aside from his family members, Hiro's probably the only person who's seen him cry.

- Vice versa, Hiro feels more relaxed with Megumi. He'd built up so many walls around himself that they begin to feel very heavy after a while...and being with someone who's patient enough to sit and listen to him makes it easier for him to let his guard down. Plus, with Megumi's help, he's managing to get a better handle on his emotions. Kisa contributes to this as well, but there's something appealing about connecting with someone who isn't a family member and hasn't known you literally your whole life.

- They relate to each other in the sense that they both want to protect someone...and as they grow closer, that protective nature extends to each other as well.

Don't mind me...this is just me trying to feel the waters a bit and see how these two could play off and benefit each other. I love both of them...

Thinking of starting over fresh with my art account...not gonna share it cause I'm most likely gonna start over with a new one. I want to get back into art and I get the feeling that trying to do so on an account that I've inadvertently branded as a fruits basket account wouldn't end well lmao

I find people's reaction to this episode...hilarious. Could they have framed the Tohru shot better? Sure. Did the Rin scene make some people uncomfortable? Ngl I thought it was intended to make people uncomfortable so uh...yeah, sure. Was it perfect? No. Was it worth getting up in arms over? Absolutely not.

Just my two cents is all...people will get mad at everything these days, I swear.

Where do people get off on thinking our girl here is “dainty” and “always nice"...like bruh, is this the same Tohru we’re talking about, or have you been reading too many early-00′s fanfics that make her out to be the damsel in distress?  

In fact, I think a major reason people like Tohru so much is that she’s precisely not as dainty or nice as she appears to be initially.  Her being a genuinely good person is a just nice little bit of icing on the top.  They’ll praise her for her kindness, sure, but they also praise her for standing her ground and not taking shit from anybody.

Tmw you don’t really feel like talking about something but you feel like you have to cause of the fucking corner you’ve branded your account into...oh boy.  That last post wasn’t easy to write and I almost didn’t post it...just saying.

I suppose I shouldn’t ignore the elephant in the room...or bird(?)...Kureno- yeah. I don’t hate him.  I know I know that automatically means I love him and condone every single thing he’s done. /sarcasm

Honestly though, I’m...kinda neutral on the guy.  The relationship regarding Arisa is...messy and could have most certainly been handled better...but people are complex.  It’s hard, for me, to harshly judge Kureno cause I’ve never been in his shoes before...he didn’t exactly have a helping hand there to tell him right from wrong...or...legal from illegal.  Guy didn’t even know how to use a damn shopping basket, why are you surprised?  I’m not excusing him of course...but blind hate isn’t healthy for anyone, especially when it comes from a lack of understanding the thing you hate.

Though I would like to point out that the fate of said relationship was...left fairly ambiguous.  We don’t know if they ever decided to pursue it. Also uh...Arisa is at least 18 at the end of the manga, and much older in Another I’d assume (and before you pull the groomer card, Kureno wasn’t even pursuing her...and we don’t even know if he began pursuing her or the other way around - ambiguity my dudes...it’s a wonderful thing sometimes) Sure there’s a big age difference but we’d be willfully ignorant if we sat here and said that relationships like that have never worked in real life.

Anyways...sorry if this sounds kinda jaded but...people are so short-sighted these days.  They only see what they wanna see...and when something different comes along, they lash out at it rather than try to understand what they’re even looking at.

ngl I kinda wish they included the scene where Megumi essentially glared down Uo’s boss after the guy tried to lowkey make a pass at Tohru and Saki.  He looked like he was about to cut curse a bitch...oh well...no Bodyguard Megumi today.  Which is fine by me, I’ll take him comforting his sister on any day.

Like...Yuki's my favorite of the main cast, but I can't help but smile when I see Megumi...even if it's only for a little bit.
