The babies (they're grown men, maybe 6-7 months old) have been acquired.

I love them so much already 😭 giving them their first toys and a big cage to call their own feels so rewarding

Hopefully "rescuing" some rats this week. They've been on sale at pets at home for months, and I noticed they were finally gone and mentioned to staff how happy I was, who then informed us they're too big to be sold so have been taken out back. She let us go back and see them and they were in a tiny barren cage 😭 not a single hammock, chew toy or hide, just a lone cardboard box they'd squished. Waiting for them to call me cause they're treating them for a URI probs from being in the tiny glass display tanks for 6 months... Gotta get a cage and everything ready QUICK
