Noah slid into the drivers seat, starting the car and pulling out of the driveway. “Have a good day?"
"Yeah, it was okay." She smiled. “It got a bit busy around lunch time but it was fine." She added. “You?"

Harry shook his head quickly, brushing his fingers through her tangled hair. "It's not your fault." He made sure to whisper his promise before he shuffled her towards him and allowed her to curl up against his chest. He slowly drew circles on her lower back, listening to her breathing pick up as she cried. "I'll seriously kill him." Harry muttered quietly, "I'll hurt him a million times worse than he hurt you."
Naomi tried to stop the tears but it was helpless, her body shivered as she curled up into a tighter ball. "No.." She murmured. "That will just make you like h-him, just leave it.." She added, pulling her sleeves down over her hands and wiping her cheeks.

Harry paused for a moment, his hand resting on her lower back. He slowly pulled his body away from hers and studied her face once more. He kept his eyes fixed on the purple bruise before he silently cupped her cheek and brushed his thumb over the aching skin, "He hurt you.. how dare he hurt you." Harry whispered, his voice refraining from being harsh to ensure he didnt frighten Naomi.
Her eyes were blood shot and glossy, searching his quickly as she flinched at his touch. She squinted slightly as his thumb brushed the bruise, finding it extremely tender. "It was my fault.." She sighed, keeping her fingers entangled in his shirt as she clutched to him. "My dress was too short.. And I-I was home late."

Noami licked her lips nervously, tasting the faint streak of salt from her tears that streamed down her face. He sniffed, getting out of her car hurriedly and brushing the tears from her face quickly. She walked swiftly through the night air and up to Harry's door, she knew she was safe here. Her knock was timid, her mind racing with thoughts of how Harry would react when he found out. The door swung open and she nearly broke down on the spot, welcoming the warm embrace of her friend as she hid in his chest. "I-It was an accident.. He was drunk.." She mumbled.

A rhythmic tap echoed through Harry’s London apartment. He took a second to process who or what was making this noise. It was ever so faint, but hurried as if urgent. Suddenly the pieces fit together and Harry realised someone was at his door. He sauntered cautiously towards the heavy slab of oak, unlocking it and pulling the door towards him - only to find his best friend standing before him. Her hair was knotted, face stained with mascara - although it was obvious she had attempted to scrub this off - as well as a developing bruise below her eye. Harry studied the girl momentarily before wrapping his large arms around her and asking her what had happened - although he already know it would’ve been a fight with the asshole of a boyfriend she had.

She nodded, sliding into the seat carefully and thanking him as he shut the door. Naomi settled into the seat, the leather feeling nice against her skin.
Noah watched her think, a ghost of a small smile on his face. “Seven.." He smiled with a quick nod, “I’ll be outside at seven. Drinks? My shout."
Naomi stuttered slightly. “E-Er.. Yeah, sure." She giggled softly. “Seven it is."

Naomi finished her shift, hanging up her apron and pulling the hair tie from her hair. She made her way out onto the street, spotting Noah quickly. "Hi.." She murmured, as she got closer to him.

Naomi nodded, giving him a small wave as he left before mentally slapping herself. A wave? God Naomi!

Naomi stood up slowly when she heard his voice, turning around. This can't be happening, she was in her work clothes, hair a mess and cheeks flushed, not exactly her finest hour.. And he was asking.. What she was doing tonight? Naomi blinked, coming back to reality. "Uh, nothing.. I mean, I finish here at seven." She smiled sweetly, as best she could whilst her brain was swirling with thoughts.
"Thank you Miss West." He smiled, watching her leave before closing his door. Days pass and Noah strolls into a corner shop, securely knowing that she works here. “Oh, Miss West, what a lovely surprise."
Noami smiled politely as she handed a cup of coffee across the counter. “Have a nice day." She added, turning back to read the next order when she heard the familiar voice. “Hi.. Noah, right?" She asked, a little taken back.

"Er.. Yeah." She smiled, tucking some hair behind her ear. She jumped slightly, feeling a poke in her ribs. "Matt, seriously.." She laughed, shooing his hand away. "I'll do the coffee." He said with a grin. "Go clear those back tables, please." He added. Naomi nodded, shoving his shoulder playfully. "Sure thing."

Naomi clumsily picked up her things and slung her bag over her shoulder, walking with him to the door. "Thank you for your time." She said, giving him a small smile before exiting.
"Why is that?" She asked, looking at him intrigued. She was deviating from the set questions, but her curiosity got the best of her.
