Here you can see my personal mood board in which i have used canva to create. During this task we were told to create a poster about ourselves in order to allow us to get inspiration when creating designs for our logos for our fashion work. In this poster, i have added lots of images of my interests and hobbies in order to create a poster in which i believe best represent me.

Here you can see our group collaboration work for our research into the standard and legislation. For this task we were set to create a Canva presentation for copyright clearance, quality assurance, contributor consent and health and safety compliance. When doing this presentation we had to each research into one chosen compliance then further research into what happened, what the issue was and the lesson learnt from this. When completing my research i found out how companies can make mistakes that lead to detrimental impacts on their brands and how this can be resolved. By doing this task i have understood my research and this will further aid me when moving forward in the future when starting a business as i know what to avoid.

Here you can see our group collaboration work for todays task. For this task we had to create a garment that would be sustainable yet trendy and versatile. When collaborating as a group we discussed our ideas and ultimately decided to design a dress that could be shortened in order to change the length and reversible to allow for a range of colours and patterns. In order to create this we needed to discuss how we would design this in order to reach our target audience of older teens to early 20's. Therefore, we decided that by making the dress trendy and unusual this would allow our customer to experiment with styling and go against the usual dress. We also made sure to discuss how and why this item would be needed, so we decided that it would be reducing the impacts on the environment due to it being a 4-in-1 dress therefore the customer will only have to buy one dress that transforms into 3 other dresses ultimately cutting down on fast fashion and its impacts. When choosing the fabric we decided to go with a lightweight and breathable fabric called lycra which we did further research into and further discovering that it is much more sustainable than spandex. What makes our garment unique is the tear away skirt which allows the dress to be interchangeable and change length when needed making it suitable for the office and for parties. When looking into where we would source our lycra material from we figured we would use the closest location which was in northern Ireland therefore we can keep track of how it is manufactured easily due to it being close. In order to test our prototypes we would stretch the material to its full potential in order to test the durability and see how it holds up in certain weather conditions also. However we made sure to discuss the challenges in which we would face which could be that people may not trust our designs due to the magnetic straps inside the dress which could affect when washing the garments, therefore to resolve this issue we would ensure to make small pockets where the magnets can be removed when washing. In order to promote our business we would make sure to have pop up shops in large cities such as Manchester and London where we would do questionnaires that would allow us to see what people are looking for and if there would be any way we could change our designs to appeal more to our target customer. When it comes to selling this product, our garments will be packaged sustainably out of scrap fabric that we didn't use to reduce on the cost and impacts on the environment, and then sold online through Instagram, ASOS whilst also doing collaborations with influencers to further promote our business and reach our customer.
