I’ve been rereading the ACOTAR series and I’m coming to a realisation of WHY Nesta is so cold and rude to Feyre at first. Feyre, the youngest, was raised basically as the heir (father teaching her basic things about how to manage the estate) whilst Nesta, the eldest and natural heir, was basically raised to be cattle sold to slaughter in marriage.

I too would hate the younger sister who stole a birthright, albeit unintentionally, with misplaced anger from a neglectful father and ruthless mother having been raised to just be pretty and ready for marriage, that’s all she ever knew.

Reading almost any book I feel bad for the sisters of the main characters because they almost feel like they are there for plot reasons? I know all characters are there for the plot but they just drive the main couple to do better and don’t get much of a plot of their own.

Like Nesta has her mate care more about Feyre and is just… mean?

Taryn is manipulated by Locke for the entire book.

I forgot the name of Violet’s sister but I feel bad for her too when I remember her name.

I want spin off fanfic for all of them where they leave their situations and live a nice damn life.

I’m sorry but anyone who constantly shits on Nesta for “being mean” (I’m looking at you TikTok comments) simply cannot fathom how badly Rhysand treats her throughout the books and they just ??? Ignore it ??? Like girlie is out here befriending everyone except the IC.

Also can we just think about how Cassian seems to care more about Feyre than HIS OWN FATED MATE ?????? I’m sorry if I misunderstood the concept but isn’t it putting her above everyone and he simply ……. doesn’t ?
