A defeated sigh may be taken as acceptance or resignation in Catherine’s case.

“You’re lucky I like you, Bill. I wouldn’t do this for anyone, EVER. I’ll... see what I can do for your...little pet over there!” She isn’t trustworthy but she knows better than getting on trouble over nothing and ruining the harmonious relationships she built. Heel hits against the ground and after a moment of hesitance, she acknowledges the kid’s presence for good. “You won’t give me any trouble, will you? Can I trust you’ll be a good boy?”
