Yk i think that caitlyn’s development is so so interesting.

Like yeah that girl just lost her mother bc of jinx’s actions and she’s not really given the time to process her emotions in a healthy way and suddenly everyone (and herself tbh) expects her to rise above it and avenge her death and fight Zaun. And she feels conflicted about that, she wants to believe for equality, for the people of Zaun to be given a chance and tbf she only wanted Jinx at the beginning, she probably didn’t want anyone to be caught in the cross fire. But she’s grieving and when you grieve you tend to be rash with your actions and not think it through. She has the expectations of everyone on her shoulders and she can’t mess up, so she needs to do anything to be able to meet them.

However.

I am pissed at her actions. She’s grieving, i know but still, that doesn’t excuse what she said and did to Vi. What she did was really messed up to me, she enrolled Vi to be an enforcer without asking for her consent (if i remember correctly might have to check me on that) while knowing Vi’s trauma, She used gas against innocent ppl to catch Jinx and beat them up or sent them to prison without so much as giving them a chance. She called Vi’s ppl animals. And ultimately she was ready to risk a kid’s life. I know she trusts her abilities but the thing is, she could have missed, and she was not thinking clearly at that moment and vi was right to stop her. If she had missed she would have killed a kid.

So yeah, i have a love hate relationship with her development, it makes so much sense for her and i understand where she’s coming from. but ☝🏻 i hate that she became the very thing she sworn not to become and her actions. Caitlyn is a very complex character, and while I really do love her and find her interesting, i’m still questioning her actions and find most of them really messed up.

I do hope she’ll get redemption later tho but we’ll see next week !

(Spoilers) I'm obviously glad we got a happy ending, but before I beat the game I was caught up with the idea of her not turning back. I thought of her roaming skies of Hyrule forever and Link would occasionally come and keep her company after the defeat of Gannon. I'm glad the developers are not as angsty I as am though!
