Last one of the year. Why yes, I am a staunch Imperial and yes, I did buy the Imperial codex wallpaper pack.
Tomorrow, it will be a new year and we’ll start looking at the art of the Shield of Baal supplement and codex: Blood Angels.

Professional photos are coming! Had a photo shoot with David Love Photography this past weekend. He did up two sample shots already, but there are more on the way. Had to share with everyone. The man does great work!

Thoughts on the 2014 White Dwarf Format
New White Dwarf just arrived in the mail today... but I'm still rather baffled by the change in format.
For comparison... White Dwarf (Old) Format from 2012 Oct through to 2014 Jan - 150~ page per issue, $12 AUD per month. Each containing a mix of hobby articles, gaming and battle reports, and plenty of text to go with the photos (I liked this format over the old-old WD format)
New Format - 2014 Feb onwards: - Warhammer: Visions - smaller pages, ~215 of content + GW info pages, $13 AUD per month. This one we're getting in AUS seems to be localised for Asia, with the captions in English, Chinese and Japanese. Skimming through it - there are certainly plenty of photos, but barely any commentary or information at all about the techniques used, it feels more like just a photo book. - White Dwarf Weekly - $6 AUD per week. 32 pages, feels more like a super condensed/cut down version of the usual white dwarf pages, half of which seems to be dedicated to new releases..
Total: $38.80/month (using 4.3 weeks per month) for 352~ pages, 215 of which is mostly photos... waiting to see how it really stacks up once a months worth of weekly issues have come out...
