📚 - “You’re…not?” The shock was obvious in his voice, blinking at the doctor with a mix of confusion and bewilderment. No. This should have been impossible, shouldn’t it? There was no way Dr. Kusaka would have ordered this line to be cut. Nagisa’s own father would have terribly angry if he found out his experiment had been interrupted his…subject interfered with.

He couldn’t help but take note of the doctor’s age then - something that had passed over him in his exhausted state. A teenager….how usual of a situation…

He’d been told not to trust them much more than any normal demon - that were on the verge of becoming monsters themselves.

His arm pulled away as she approached, covering the newly made wound with his uninjured hand.

“That can’t possibly be your order - what are you planning?”

iizuka supposed the suspicion of her wasn’t very surprising - no one had been very kind to him here from what she could see. her father & his mother worked together in this situation, & every other professional here turned a blind eye - & so did she.

“...it’s not my order, you’re right.” her father was one of absolute control, he made sure he knew everything that was happening & yet, he knew he didn’t have to watch her religiously. he knew she was terrified of him, that she didn’t ever disobey him & that’s what she had to take advantage of here. a child didn’t deserve this treatment, she didn’t want to sit by this time. “& i’m not following that order.”

she paused again, “when dr. kusaka finds out - that’ll be my problem.” she was sure she’d seen the worse of her father, though, the depths he was willing to go to teach her a lesson she’d yet to breach. even so, she could bear that - even if just this once.
