many fans tend to overlook vi’s care for powder or jinx up to this day because of how little we got to witness vi actually pouring her love out to the people she cares about in the show when she probably spent the rest of the afternoon laying down in that metal bar, screaming her heart out about how she could’ve changed everything once again but she didn’t.
before jinx jumped in to push warwick off of vi, vi has a broken arm from the sudden attack.
i bet that vi didn’t even bother to think about her injury, it was always powder. even when the enforcers were beating her up in her cell for how many years, it was always powder. even when piltover is about to fall from jinx’s hands, it was always powder. even when caitlyn had the shot to end jinx, it was always powder. even when it took her days to wake up after being stitched, she immediately thought of powder. when she heard that jinx was arrested, she fought for powder. even when jinx was running towards isha, she didn’t hesitate to run after powder to protect her from the explosion.
♪ i know it’s my fault that i’m here all alone. ♪
as the camera pans back to vi wailing in agony... oh brother.
how long did it take for violet to stand back up and accept that jinx is really ‘gone’ from that fall? maybe she never did, so how many people managed to convince vi to stand back up and accept that jinx is really ‘gone’ from that fall? maybe they never did. the possibilities are endless because nobody mourned for jinx like vi did. nobody knew jinx like vi did. when the sisters are finally standing next to each other, the other eventually has to fall.

Arcane really gave us this in depth, deep relationship between Jayce and Viktor, made them soul mates in every universe, had them die together, and then expected us to not ship them. Girlllllll. People will ship two characters that have never even interacted before.

Making shen yuan head disciple so he'll be close to shizun binghe is all fun and games until shen yuan meets gongyi Xiao and suddenly he has a pen pal/friend he runs to at cultivation gatherings who he can talk to about their sects and exchange ideas regarding head disciple duties

I don't care for modern/no transmigration aus where shen yuan is all shy and innocent. This is the man who goes to brothels for information and makes friends everywhere he goes. Even in a normal setting I wholeheartedly believe he'd have connections, especially with his status as a rich kid.
I want a fic where Shen Yuan finds Binghe bleeding out in an alley and he's like "damn, calling an ambulance could get this guy in trouble... let me just call that underground doctor who I'm buddies with, he'll fix this guy up and I can pay him in cash so my dad won't ask about a huge bill on my credit card."
So many mafia aus would be way funnier if they were more realistic to how rich people actually act
Binghe: I'm a CRIMINAL I'm part of a GANG
Shen Yuan: um yeah I know, my friends buy cocaine from you
Binghe:
Shen Yuan: anyway

"Shen Yuan is careless about his appearance" is an understandable take, but I think it's also inferior to what's actually going on most of the time, which is more like:
Shen Yuan is in fact so preoccupied with appearances that he is extremely meticulous and diligent in keeping up his image, but he's also utterly oblivious to how this factors into attraction (especially queer attraction) and he misses cultural context clues thanks to having transmigrated sometimes, with an end result that sometimes he is carefully and unwittingly making himself up like a thirst trap because he thinks that's what a sophisticated and classy scholar ought to look like.

Damn it, that hurt. I began to see that celebrity wasn't all hot girls and free beer. It's also the curse of expectation-and the bitterness of talling short. Perhaps that was why I'd always been so suspicious of fatherhood; perhaps I'd known instinctively how much that disillusion would hurt if I saw it in the faces of my boys.

I was ravenous, and yet I knew I couldn't ask for Skrymirs help in opening the knapsack. For a start, Thor would kill me, then he would probably kill himself in a fit of mortification. Second, Thialf and Roskva were there, and they expected better of us. And so I lay, hungry and sleepless, and wondered what I was doing here, when I had a wife in Asgard.
Yes, that's how far gone I was. I actually almost missed Sigyn.

….of the romance of love at first sight, of the fact that of all the girls in all the caves in all the mountains of the Middle Worlds, it was she who had caught his eye. Surely that meant something to her?
When it became clear that it didn't, I followed up with a desperate and colourful depiction of Frey's magnificent hall in Asgard, with its formal gardens, its topiary, its ballroom, and its ornamental fountains.
"Really?" said Gerda. "A topiary?"
Funny how even the most determined of women can be swayed by the prospect of nicely clipped hedges.

Love.
Can't say I understood it, myself. Of all the emotions I'd learnt about during my time on the corporeal plane, this one seemed the most point-less, painful, and complicated. It's all about giving, apparently. Seems like taking isn't enough. There's also a lot of random stuff about poetry, flowers, and lute music, plus kissing and cuddling (lots of this), wearing similar outfits, talking incessantly about the current object of devotion, and generally losing one's faculties. As far as I could understand, love made you weak and boring. Balder, who by that token must have been in love all the time, told me, with his pitying look, that it was one of lifes greatest joys. I guessed he'd never experienced revenge, a threesome, or Sigyn's jam tarts.

I have to say, she had a point. Killing Thiassi in battle was one thing. A worthy end for a would-be god. But to be slaughtered and grilled like a chicken—well. It was no less than he deserved for what he'd done to me, of course, but the Ice People were a proud lot, and it must have rankled.

And that's why the Goddess of Desire has two Aspects: the Maiden, ripe and beautiful as a golden peach in summertime; and the Crone, the carrion demon of battle, hideously beautiful, gloved in blood to her armpits and screaming with unsatisfied lust.

The worst part of the Qiongqi Path ambush isn’t even the fact that Jin Zixuan died. It’s the fact that Wei Wuxian and Wen Nong are literally discussing in the middle of Qiongqi Path how they unfairly judged Jin Zixuan’s character, how they thought the invite was a trap but the man was being unexpectedly genuine, and how much he must have grown as a person to invite someone he’s always been in contention with to his firstborn’s one month celebration simply because that person is his wife’s favorite person. Only for fuckass Jin Zixun to show up, say that actually, the invite was a trap, that they would never genuinely invite Wei Wuxian to see his shizhi, and then Jin Zixuan shows up and refuses to verify IN THE MIDDLE OF AN ACTIVE AMBUSH that he is 1) not part of the ambush and 2) did not know about the ambush beforehand. Then he died.
