Marquez ckaims he was offerd 100 million dollars to fight Pacquiao in the Philippines for a fifth fight, but he declined the offer because  quote  “It ($100 million) is a lot of money — but honor, pride and what we did is more important than doing a fifth fight,” he added. He also said,  “Let's pretend that the fifth fight would happen. How about if I get robbed in the fight, we do not know what can happen, he's capable of hitting me with the right shot and hurting me badly. So I would place myself at risk,” Marquez probably thinks there is a big chance of him being cheated as the previous fights could have gone in his favour but didn’t.

Sadam Ali beats Miguel Cotto with a decision victory for the WBO title. Cotto did not get the farewell that he would of liked but he did put up an amazing fight.

Miguel Cotto will be fighting Sadam Ali on December 2nd, and will be defending his WBO junior Middleweight belt at Madison Square Garden. This will be Miguel Cotto last fight and he is going out on top, having the belt and fighting in the best arena in the world MSG. His opposition has been criticized, as people feel Sadam Ali in not at the calibre of a Cotto and would have liked to see him go out fighting Alvarez in a rematch or Golovkin. Miguel Cotto also showed interest in those fights but they couldn’t be made because Alvarez is set to fight Golovkin in a rematch. Cotto will surely be missed by the boxing world, he had a fighting style which fans enjoyed, in which he would come forward push the pace and try knock opponents out.  As he got older and started training with coaches like Pedro Diaz and Freddie Roach he became more technical and a better boxer. Cotto will most likely go down as one of the best fighter of this era, not far behind mayweather and Pacquiao, having fought all big names of his time including Mayweather and Pacquiao, some fans even felt Cotto won his fight against Mayweather. Just to give fans an idea of the calibre of fighters cotto fought I will do a few name drops, Mosley, Margarito, Martinez,  Malignaggi and Alvarez. I believe this fight will be a good farewell for the multiple time world champion, and I believe that he will truly be missed by the boxing world.
