ㅤShe might have thought it was insulting, but for Carlos and the UBCS, it was mostly par for the course and actually a little annoying - they were trained to operate primarily in team situations, and solo operators like Wong didn't tend to play nicely in any way that he would have liked. She'd leave him if it suited her mission, regardless of his own mission or status and he knew it. Fortunately, he'd been assigned because he was the friendliest guy they had that could hold his own solo and generally avoid getting ditched. Nobody was about to send Nikolai out to deal with a spy type that might very well use him as bait because Nikolai might very well do the same thing to her. Carlos could be trusted.

ㅤ"I like to think of myself as an equal opportunity date. It's a partnership, y'know?" he called back out, which really had a lot less to do with picking up an actual check than the fight ahead of them, but it kept him busy while he was moving shit around so that he only chuckled at her supremely unimpressed look. She didn't have to be worried, but it was a little bit his job to do the worrying instead. At least she finished quickly, so he trotted out the door after her, checking both directions down the hall and coming up alongside her to clip the three with some quick semi-auto fire and gesture her along behind him. "Way too loud, we need distance from that barricade before they do something so stupid it looks smart."

ೃ⁀➷ It almost felt insulting that the higher up's felt the need for Ada to have an escort. She preferred to work alone and felt that she'd proved to excel at just that. Umbrella, apparently, knew a thing or two about the BOW's that were overrunning the Moscow lab and assigned her someone to watch her back. At least the view was nice, but if he held her up in anyway, Ada would have no problem in leaving him. So far, Carlos was proving to be handy as he barricaded the door. "Let's just hope you're the type of date to pick up the bill at the end of the night," she said as she threw a smirk towards him over her shoulder.

At his hurry, however, Ada paused and stared at him with a deadpan look as though to prove that she wasn't worried in the slightest. A moment passed and the computer beeped, confirming that everything she needed had been copied to the thumb drive. She grabbed it and put it safely in her pouch before heading towards the seemingly safe door. She pulled out her gun and moved swiftly down the hall. There was a loud crash and up ahead, a door was smashed in, three zombies pouring out. "Oh darling! Looks like the check's arrived." She held her ground and fired at the closest one.

ㅤMikhail had been very specific about his orders - Carlos was to escort Wong on her mission and ensure her safety in a situation that they all knew was starting out tits up and only getting worse. Containment would be accomplished because the lab offered no escape for the BOWs and the rest of the UBCS was doing a much more coordinated sweep than this nightmare trip Wong was dragging him along for. They'd found what she was looking for, from the looks of things, and he was absolutely nosy enough to glance that way, not that he caught anything that made much sense to him in her rapid search. He wasn't stupid, but the kind of science they did in these labs was above his knowledge base in biology and chemistry.

ㅤ"Nah, not really the type to leave a date behind," he told her, headed for the door they'd come in after confirming there was another door and that it was quiet on that side. Hopefully it was an alternate exit, since he was pushing whatever looked heavy and mobile enough to barricade the door with in front of the one they'd come in. If he was blocking the only exit, he'd just let the threats converge there and toss a grenade through whatever hole they managed to make like a party favor. With a grunt, he glanced her way again. "I'll rush a date, though. Make it fast or it's gonna get real messy."

ೃ⁀➷ Ada smirked to herself as she kept her focus on the computer screen in front of her. Leaning over the desk, her fingers flew across the keyboard, knowing exactly what she was looking for. She and Carlos may both be working for Umbrella, but their jobs were very different. He and his U.B.C.S team were deployed to handle the small outbreak that threatened the underground lab in Moscow. Ada, however, was tasked with getting into the computer system to download all known files on something called Project: Sunflower.

B.O.W.'s were closing in, threatening to break down the door to the room they were in, but the mercenary didn't flinch as she worked. "If you're so worried, you're welcome to leave," she told him. This was the first time that she'd worked with Corporal Oliveira and she didn't know whether or not he'd take her advice. If he did abandon her, Ada had calculated an escape route. The job, however, always came first. "Or you could be a gentleman and take care of our guests."
