"So... flower based combat? That sounds like quite a feat–" A thought came to mind, equally useless to his original train of thought. "Actually, perhaps they would form the roses into a fully sized person? But I suppose that would require too much magic to have an army, unless they had a lot of mages or a way to permanently imbue the magic, and– this is not the point of this conversation at all!"

Lukas still didn't know if there WAS a point. The idea of flower soldiers seemed more interesting than the actual tournament, though.

[scoffs] "Tournament of Roses". Roses can't do sports.

“… Valter, I don’t think–” Lukas gave a long, slow blink, considering it himself. Actually… Why would anyone name a tournament after a flower? It seemed counterproductive if your score wasn’t based on form and beauty. “I… don’t think that it has anything to do with the actual flowers. I think they just liked the name because it sounded nice. It’s rather silly if you think about it…”

Great. This just might keep him up at night.
