the fact that my entire family voted for and are celebrating fascism is eating away at me. i no longer want to associate with any of them, but isn’t the division what they want? are we past the point of ‘leading with grace and compassion’ as the example? what is there to do? there’s this violent need to scream and fight and claw and gnash because look at where we are! look at what you contributed to! but will it do anything? will it be received? how do i bare my teeth and still be heard? will they hear me?

or is it time for complete separation altogether?

your friends are trans or queer? for the next four years they’re not. don’t expose anyone’s status as a trans or queer person to anyone else, even if you think you can trust them.

did someone you know get an abortion? no, they didn’t. they were never pregnant.

in short, don’t be a snitch, and keep to yourself these next four years. we’ll make it through this even if it seems hopeless at times.

this is all i can think of at the moment, but i’ll be adding on to this as the day continues.

we can survive this. we’ve survived before, and we’ll survive again.
