One of my favorite piano recordings. It was mastered at the now defunct Europadisk, who had one of the rare DMM lathes, which cut a metal master. Very few recordings are made with them, and the only lathe left was purchased by The Church of Scientology to cut lectures from L Ron Hubbard in the case of an apocalypse. True story.

Roland R-8 schematic with my replacement components marked. The Burr Brown PCM Dacs ran in mono with a high frequency duplexing scheme to create stereo (explained well in the Quadraverb service manual), so replacing a single resistor (R9) to typically silver Audio Note is one of the best opportunities for sonic improvement.
