Finally finished this one, an oil painting, of several digital painting outputs of visual painting inputs, to attempt a recreation in AI of a series of my paintings, with the painter.
Painting like a machine down rabbit holes.
The machine won.
Memory Holes & Data Echoes, a collection I am working on. Oil on canvas, 100 cm by 100 cm. #oilpainting, #TradAirt, #womanartist, #contemporaryfuturism, #popart

ALWAYS COCACOLA
So, there we were, a couple of gorgeous fools, vaping out front of Carnegie Place Grade II listed building, laughing away in the sunshine, drinking our Coca Colas. Can you imagine. Do you remember. The once symbol of corporate capitalist viral mind brain fart oppression. You’d never drink a coke. EVER. Beyond the perils of a generation destroyed by the myth of happily ever after prince…

A tribute to Empress Trash & HOT STUPID MONEY.
When asking AI, to show me WOMEN ARTISTS MONEY, within 2 dozen prompts I was getting images of women as lizards. Yea, all the women were young, white, thin & had their mouths closed. When I ask machine to slightly open the mouth, obvs I meant LIZARD.
So, odd. Maybe there’s levels of the internet that have an inherent bias about WOMEN ART & MONEY.
But was just fuxking around. I’m too dumb & tired to write anything deep or insightful about this.

Literally translated from it's French origins to 'Pretty Ugly' The Jolie Laide is a woman who creates a look so unique, extraordinary and inimitable. The other thing worth noting about these women is that they all share in common, the fact that they have features that may ordinarily be considered unattractive.
Something I’m playing with.

Pandemic3 (Para-social media & the acceleration of a divised society)Pandemic 3,
Portraits of three young adults dressed in costumes made from the residues of the pandemic, a Victorian powdered wig made from loo roll shells, a pill box hat made of lateral flow tests and a repurposed dunce hat, made from many of the sensationalised news clippings of the time. I wanted to create a work that documented some of the deeply entrenched issues of divisiveness, misinformation and…

StRting my creepy beautiful alien Ai baby, in oils & im dead excited. That beautiful awkward starting stage of laying down the shapes. Getting stoned and getting carried away & not paying enough tensions to tonal balances. Smiling, because it’s Monday & I am finally back in the studio after a long long time. I will mould this into beauty.

Part of my ‘children of the quarantine’ series, oil on canvas 100cm by 100 cm.
According to #chatgpt “The current pandemic has shone a spotlight on the deeply entrenched issues of divisiveness, misinformation, and censorship within western culture. Through the lens of three young adults, we can examine the acceleration of these issues, particularly within the realms of science, politics, and medicine. The pervasiveness of fake news, repressed truths, and propaganda on social media has had a detrimental impact on critical thinking, further exacerbating the already divisive nature of these topics. It is a crucial moment in history where we must confront and address these issues head-on in order to move forward as a society.”

Old sketchbook, with doodles of sex dreams discussed by friends. Remixed and made new. Might make a mini collection to mint, but not sure.

Steve was a punk rocker. When I was a little kid he was the teenager that was always nice to me. We often waited for the bus together. I took 3 city buses to school everyday. He had the words LEFT BALL & RIGHT BALL, written at my eye height of the crotch of his jeans. I didn’t know what it meant.
To get home I had to walk across a huge landfill. One day I got my wellies stuck in the mud, it was still raining hard. Then my little feet were stuck in the mud. I didn’t know what to do. So I didn’t freak out, I started to do maths out loud, so any onlooker would know that I was ok, everything was fine.
Steve came by, scooped me up under one arm and carried me to my front door. I wished Steve was my boyfriend. He was so cool. He gave me a lithograph self portrait of him and his Mohawk. It was my most treasured art piece.
When things were bad at home, I would look at his portrait and know there was a better kinder world outside my door.
Steve was a punk rocker.
