Something I really want to know is whether or not Gina starting off as a pickpocket is a pun. I didn't know almost anything about Sherlock Holmes canon before playing TGAA (I think the most I knew was that Hound of the Baskervilles is a Sherlock Holmes story, leading me to get incredibly excited about any reference to it in the game, the first instance being the fifth case of the first game) so when I first saw Gina's full name, my brain was like "hold on, is her last name a joke about her being a pickpocket?" then I looked into it a bit more after getting her comment about "Inspector Lestrade" sounding like something out of a book.

That has me wondering if instead of her name being a pun on her previous occupation, her previous occupation is a pun on her name, because Lestrade looks like "let's trade" which is fitting for a pickpocket I think.

every time a dance of deduction has come up i've been more and more convinced that sholmes purposely misinterprets the facts because he thinks it's fun to be course corrected, especially here because it's made clear he is completely capable of accurate deductions literally in the room before this (also his deduction style isn't flawed, iris utilizes it perfectly). "i've been waiting for my trusty partner in deduction to step forward" only strengthens the thought that sholmes is perfectly capable of making accurate deductions but doesn't for the lolz

agree with the great ace attorney being a favorite though. i didn't think apollo justice would be taken over but ive been playing tgaa nonstop for 14 and a half hours and probably will do so again tomorrow. the sholmesposting will not stop today
