Liking to read is a pleasure. Reading good books is wonderful. Reading a great book is unusual. Ramadi Declassified: A Roadmap to Peace in the Most Dangerous City in Iraq, written by Col. Anthony Deane (Ret.) is one of the most fascinating, factually-historical thrillers on the market today. It is a must read for people to see from a hands-on, on the ground view what it was like in Iraq in 2006.
This book skillfully, in terms totally understandable, takes one through the horrific wasteland of murder and intimidation created by Al Qaeda in Iraq. Col. Deane’s compelling story-telling moves through the phases of the peace process quite unknown to the public of what was needed to ultimately defeat Al Qaeda.
The cloak and dagger work, as well as the complicated maneuvering between the Iraqi citizens and newly emerging leaders, by Col. Deane’s TASK FORCE CONQUEROR command is nothing short of one of the greatest military campaigns of our time.
Often, when one thinks of Iraq, the words “roadmap to peace” don’t seem to fit. After reading this insightful book, it is clear that the presence of American forces in Iraq would be the only hope for the people of Iraq, as well as stopping and defeating Al Qaeda.
I urge you to tread this amazing book. It is a page turner that really opens your eyes to the Middle East dilemma like never told before. You wont be able to put it down!

Watch the fascinating interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe with Colonel Anthony E. Deane (Retired), who wrote Ramadi Declassified, A Roadmap to Peace in the Most Dangerous City in Iraq, a fascinating and accurate account that can only be given by someone who was there, on the ground in Iraq. This is as real as it gets. The remarkable historical account reads like a best seller thriller. Col. Deane’s accounting of this all important battle as commander of Task Force Conqueror is based on facts delivered with stunning clarity which causes one to step back with a new understanding regarding the role of American forces in Iraq and their intimate involvement with the Iraqi populous.

To her surprise, she soon discovers his death is really a murder. The unlikely informant was killed along side her father during the Great War. Who will believe this heroine, when her source is a ghost?  PEEK INSIDE
