Persuader - Part 1 - Preview!

Pairing: Xavier Thorpe x fem!reader
Summary: Y/N joins Nevermore after her normie parents find out maybe she isn’t as normal as they thought she was.
“Why would you do that?!” your mum yelled at you, throwing her hands in the air as you cowered in the corner, the broken vase lying beside you. “Mummy, I didn’t mean to!” you sobbed, covering your face as the tears poured out of your eyes. “You didn’t mean to, it still happened!” she shouted, making you flinch at her words.
Grabbing the shards of the vase, she pushed you away, picking them up and mumbling words to herself. “You’re a clumsy girl, Y/N,” she snapped up at you, “absolutely useless,” she yelled. “NO!” you screamed, bringing your hands up to your face. The sound of china clinking together froze, your mother’s words long gone as you slowly moved your hands. She was lying on her stomach; her face a mixture of pain and confusion as she laid there, still, not breathing.
There was no sign of physical violence on her face as you stared at her, your breaths getting quicker quicker. “DADDY!” you screamed, your father running into the room and seeing your mother on the floor. Immediately, his eyes jumped to you, full of rage and hate. “You!” he yelled, grabbing your arm and dragging you out the house. “You filthy outcast!” he spat.
You would never forget those words, forever looming at the back of your mind. Since then, a kind family of werewolves had taken you in, however, you always knew you were different. Unlike them, your powers were based off of your emotions, different occurrences happening depending on how you felt. You knew how hard your foster parents were trying, but you could evidently see the amount of strain they were going through for you.
You were half-glad you would be joining Nevermore, half terrified out of your mind. A whole new school of people, new friends to make, people who might be like you; or you being an outcast in a school of outcasts. As your mum led you to Principal Weems’ office, you clung onto your bag tightly, the door opening slowly as you walked on. “Grace, how good it is to see you,” the tall, white-haired woman greeted your mother. “Larissa,” she nodded, shaking her hand as you blinked up at them.
“You must be Y/N, a pleasure it is to meet you,” she smiled as you shook her hand, taking a small step closer to your mother as the woman smiled at you. “It’s okay, Nevermore will accept you with open arms,” Principal Weems’ said, nodding to your mum. She turned around as you fought the urge to yell after her, you couldn’t be left alone, not somewhere where you didn’t know anyone here. You were taken to a corridor on the third floor of the building, a few older students walking last you with a confused look.
Smiling down at you, she knocked on the door gently, two firm noises echoing through the wood. The door opened swiftly, a brunette girl with deep maroon eyes staring back at you curiously. “Miss Fox, this is Y/N,” Principal Weems smiled at the other girl, and she opened the door fully, smiling at you. “I’m Lisette,” she smiled, shaking your hand joyfully and letting you on. “I have to run, please take care of her,” she blonde woman nodded, leaving you with Lisette.
“Where does your name come from?” you asked, naturally being a curious person. She grinned, showing she had been asked the same question multiple times. “It’s French,” Lisette smiled, putting your suitcase onto a spare bed. The contrast of both sides of the room was almost unbelievable, hers was a bright shade of blue, a pink bed, green desk, everything mixed and matched. “I’m sure we could get something done for you as well,” she said, waving her hand airily at your wallpaper. You laughed, this was going to be fun.
“Nevermore was founded…I don’t know, you’d need to ask Enid,” she shrugged, walking down the stairs as you followed behind her, skipping down each step. “Hi Xavier!” she called out to a long-haired brunette. He looked a year or so older than you. In truth, you had skipped an entire year of school, due to your incredibly smartness. As a result, you were now 15, compared to most who were either 16 or 17. It didn’t matter, no one here knew that. “Hey,” the boy nodded, walking over to you.
You noticed how his long legs took minimal steps to reach you, something you’d never be able to do. “This is Y/N,she’s new,” Lisette grinned widely. “‘S a Pleasure,” he said, hands in pockets as he looked you up and down. “You too,” you said, not knowing what else to say. “Unfortunately for you, Y/N, we don’t share any of the same lessons,” Lisette said, poking her finger into your chest as Xavier rolled his eyes. “Fortunate for her, you mean,” he pouted out as she yelped, slapping his hand.
