What the F*uck is YouTube about in 2019?!
Oh.wow. What an overwhelming topic, you might think…but no it’s still not.
I guess this is one of those freaking empire websites that i don’t have to present, still we need to study more and more every day because it’s a fucking disaster what these guys are doing. Especially the bastard influencer wanna be people on it.
Same stories and the same pictures are coming out on different frames, everybody wants to get famous for doing the same exact shit. Bloe.
Still, this will be the topic that I chose to write about. I’m unfortunately one of those unlucky bastards who’s still pushing on that website but never got anywhere… but let’s jump into this story a bit.
People were always looking for some freaking miracle that can save their precious hands from getting dirty. Instead of working in a factory all day long sweating their asses off, they said ‘Fuck this Shit!’ with a bucket of hard work and with a ton of student loan they finally got it! They got into the 9 to 5 work life. When you drive to work with a cleaner car, you dress up nicer, you can finally sit in a heated/cooled office and you think ‘I made it!’. Yeah you freaking made it you moron, you’re the one who’s freaking fighting against animal cruelty and you go to the nearest supermarket to pick up a cage free chicken and you choose to live the life that you don’t let your food to live either. How fucked up is this?
This is exactly what the new generation sees and they are coming up with a better and lazier idea. You don’t want to work in the factory, you don’t want to go to college either. That’s too much work. So we freaking managed it. We did it! If you want to be rich and famous, guess what you need to do?! Start a YouTube channel and keep uploading and the money will come!
This is exactly the bullshit that these influencers are telling you! Be consistent! Upload 3 times a week! Keep a good balance between quantity and quality! YouTubing is a marathon and not a sprint! Just do it! Don’t worry about the money, if you follow your passion the money will eventually come! Yes! This is true if you have a shit load of luck. But what if you don’t?
So let's call YouTubers artists,I hope nobody will argue with this one. If say that you’re making art to present your point of view or something that reflects your feelings than we are talking about drawings, music, literature, videos and so on... and we all know that nowadays we can find mainly anything on this website. Right? So again, when I say that a vlogger is a modern artist I really mean it! But since I was a kid I know, that yes...artists make a lot of beautiful things. But they are poor! So why the fuck would this change only because you are on YouTube?
Let’s switch back a bit, like 100-150 years. There was no YouTube back then. No TV either and they just barely got electricity. There were musicians, poets, writers, painters, architects. But let’s just talk about visually attractive things, paintings. There are some people who can finish a painting just in a couple hours, similarly to YouTube editors. Some people will just record and post their stuff. Now there were paintings that took a reaaaaly long time to finish just like the Mona Lisa and there are some editors that will just sit on a video for months probably because they are maximalists or just lazy. So if someone makes more than 2000 artworks, that’s like 2000 videos. What if I told you that you will put or your efforts, ambition and time into making 2000 videos and you will not get a single dime for it? Would you still do it? What if I said the Van Gogh made more than 2100 artworks throughout his life and he only sold 1 single painting, while his most valuable painting is worth over 80 million dollars now. Hed did it, and he couldn’t get famous out of his art. Neither Edgar Allan Poe or Franz Kafka or Johann Sebastian Bach. They all became famous after they died in a less competitive field.
Yes! It’s a bit easier now, you can just take out your phone that’s in your pocket, hit the record button do some shit then upload it. You can become viral, you roll with your 15 minute fame and than you fucking did it! You can sell your freaking merch for the rest of your life and you can stay home and do nothing. But please freaking understand that life only works like this for a couple of lucky bastards and don’t take the YouTube career granted. Take it only as a side hustle and if your Plan A sucks and your Plan B kicks in, then just roll with it!
