Haven't posted here in a while bc I've been busy, but I just read most of the sentence 「同じ顔のMiiを2人さがせ！」 on my own (the only part I missed was さがせ but I was able to figure that out through context clues because I'm watching a Japanese Wii Play TAS) and considering how hard I was working before it got to be a little too much, I'm SO proud of myself actually. Can't BELIEVE I knew most of this AND I read it right.

hi sorry for not doing days 9 and 10, it's been. a really hellish few days. power went out last night into this afternoon and i've been really stressed and fatigued. i'll be doing day 11 tomorrow but kinda treating it as day 9. i did anki both days at the very least (!!), but i've reduced my new cards per day for core 2.3k to 10 definitively. so that'll look different in the objectives for tomorrow.

Heads up to not use Duolingo or to cease using it

In December 2023 they laid off a huge percentage of their translation teams, replacing them with ai and having the remaining members review the ai translations to make sure the translations are “acceptable” (Note how they use the world acceptable and not accurate)

I was gonna do proper precure active immersion today but I tried doing sentence breakdowns for the story-based lessons (I will post screenshots) and that took so fucking long lol so not today but I will watch mozuku again. Again I got the main stuff done so like gg

Conclusion

Not a bad day! Overall I really try to keep my schedule consistent, but my body betraying me and me doing other things that are important to me (like D&D) and also having to like live and be a person make it hard. I pretty much progressively cut down on less important things the more tired I feel at the top of the day (even though it's all important but you know what I mean)

I never know what to say about Anki but I've been being pretty consistent with it which I'm happy with. Only a week in so that's not saying much but it is for me so like. There. Checkmate.

Grammar

I think I'm gonna take today to maybe make a proper notes doc for my grammar stuff if I have the energy for it.

Today's Topics:

The dialogue particle と which turns every thing within 「quotation marks」 into a single noun.

Passive conjugation/the receptive helper verb れる + られる (Cure Dolly says it isn't passive but...it is. Because passive voice is about receiving rather than acting 😅)

Topic marker も and making adjectives (早い→早く) and nouns (急だ→急に) into adverbs.

Conclusion

No active immersion again today, though I did watch mozuku. Uhh. Slow day but I did both of the Big Important things so!! I'm happy with that.
