cadaver (he/him) - CT-1811

cadaver is the CMO of the 501st battalion during the clone wars. he is most well-known for his gruffness and lack of patience for antics or cowardice. he's not known for being very social with anyone other than his batchmate, knockout, but he has strong bonds with most senior members of the 501st, particularly including rex and echo. he also forges a close relationship with dogma and tup, who he views as his responsibility. their losses change him in a way he never recovers from.

during the war, he makes a small group of friends while on shore leaves—duke, dvas, druzy, and himself. the four of them meet up at jazz clubs all over coruscant to dance, enjoy music, and chat the night away. they’re some of the few people cadaver feels able to relax around. he also shares a particularly close relationship with duke during the war, teetering between friends and something more until just before cadaver ships out for mandalore, when they share their first kiss.

cadaver survives order 66, but not without serious consequences. after the crash of the venator, he was left stranded under burning debris for two days before rex and ahsoka found him.

cadaver becomes the leader of a rebel cell against his will when an accident befalls rex and ahsoka. though he never wanted to continue fighting, he does, for that was all he knew.

cadaver embodies the role, and faithfully leads his cell for decades, until the empire's fall. then, he retires with his husband, duke, to spend time with their children sarad and tenoch.

duke (he/him)

duke was born on corellia, and moved with his mother to coruscant at a young age. his mother had been hoping to escape the conditions on corellia, but only found worse in the low levels of corucsant, and had no means to leave.

duke grew up deep in coruscant's undercity. when he was in his early teens, his mother became ill and fell behind on payments to the local gang that enforced their neighborhood. with no other means to help his mother, duke, always a shrewd and cunning boy, joined the ranks of this gang to pay back what his mother owed. with time, he ascended the ranks, making underhanded deals and swaying minds one way or another until he had every person in the gang indebted to him in one way other another. he overtook the leader of the gang. unfortunately, by the time duke had succeeded, his mother had died from her illness.

with no one and nothing left, duke was left with nothing to do but continue climbing the ladder of the underworld. by twenty, he had built a successful business. by twenty-five, it was an empire. this was when he gained the moniker "the duke"—not his birth name, but the only name that anyone knew to call him anymore.

duke met the clone trooper cadaver in a jazz club. duke, a charming and gregarious man, invited cadaver for a dance, only to be turned down with a wave of the hand. it intrigued duke, and drew him towards the unmoving man. over time, they became friends, and later, lovers. they shared their first kiss just before cadaver was shipped out to mandalore. it would be six years before they spoke again.

after he found out that cadaver's ship had crashed and he heard no news from cadaver, he assumed that cadaver was dead. he quietly grieved the man who had turned him from "the duke" into just duke.

duke fell in league with the empire, as any smart businessman would. however, a year after the fall of the republic, he learned that the death of the clones was purposeful and cut all ties with the empire. in retaliation, the empire froze his assets, sullied his name, and destroyed every ounce of credibility he had gathered over the last decade. duke, with a massive bounty placed on his head, was run off of coruscant.

forced to rock bottom, duke considered disappearing for good. however, he encounted a jedi named quinlan vos, who whispered of a dream to rescue people around the galaxy. duke, with all his expertise, was the perfect man for the job.

duke was one of the founding members of the hidden path. he spent five years saving force-sensitives and refugees around the galaxy. during one such escort, he was leading a group of people to a safehouse, where they would be handed off to a rebel commander and ferried the rest of the way to safety. you can imagine duke's surprise when this rebel commander happened to be cadaver.

duke and cadaver reforged their relationship. duke joined cadaver's cell and became his top strategist. in time, they married, and adopted children tenoch and sarad.

wishbone (she/her) - ARC-2384

wishbone is an arc trooper and a sergeant in the coruscant guard and leads a squad of nine troopers called cortex squad.

wishbone is kind, intelligent, and very protective, though she often suffers from unsureness borne of her inability to protect her family in a time of war. her best friend is cherub, her second-in-command, and the only member of cortex who is older than her. she's also close with her agemates, woozy and chitin, and very much so with her adopted children, the youngest three members of the squad--knifepoint, saccharine, and knucklehead (more often referred to simply as "knuckles".)

wishbone is also involved with a twi'lek named isadora ariti. isadora Is a waitress in the mid-low level district that cortex patrols and works at a clone-friendly diner, which has become the safe haven of many a coruscant guard. wishbone and dora meet two months into wishbone's deployment to coruscant, which was halfway through the first year of the war. they hit it off right away and wishbone is immediately head-over-heels for dora, but has no means to understand or communicate her own feelings. she gets her star tattoos in honor of dora, who, after confessing that she'd never been of coruscant, shared that she dreamed only of getting to see the stars one day.

four months into her deployment, wishbone is seen without her helmet on by one of the more clone-resenting senators--with her longer-than-regulation hair and tattoos, she is deemed a defective unit requiring immediate decommissioning. commander fox acts fast and slices into the system, marking her ct-number as decommissioned and reassigning her the ct-number of a recently deceased clone who had not yet been reported dead. after, he does send her back to kamino, but not to be decommissioned--rather, to receive arc training. regardless of her exemplary performance justifying the promotion, specialized training would allow wishbone to fill important roles outside of the senate dome, and also just gave her a moment away from the prying eyes of the republic.

wishbone serves as an arc trooper and sergeant for the rest of the war, leading cortex squad. upon her return to the guard, she also rekindles a relationship with isadora, however tentative and unsure. over the years, their relationship grows stronger, and though they never quite have the chance to put a name on it, it's as real to them as it could possibly be.

however, by the end of the war, wishbone is aware of growing tensions within the republic. she senses that the war is reaching a boiling point, even here at the heart of the republic, and she wants dora nowhere near it. she tries to distance herself from isadora gently, but unable to explain why, dora doesn't accept this. she's determined to find a solution to fix whatever it is wishbone is so afraid of. wishbone tells her there's nothing wrong, they just can't see each other anymore--but dora doesn't accept this either. out of options and backed into a corner, wishbone resorts to saying that she never loved isadora--that she was bored and had no interest in continuing their relationship. the words, so far from the truth, break her as she says them, and isadora's heart is broken as well. wishbone leaves that day and never returns.

order 66 fully affects wishbone, as well as all of cortex squad--except for the youngest member, knucklehead. knuckles flees the corrie headquarters and ends up wandering lost through the lower levels of coruscant, where he reunites with scout, his best friend before he was assigned to cortex. he had thought scout dead for a long time, and to the guard, scout was--but the story wasn't that simple. with scout's help, they track down isadora. isadora is resistant to them, still bitter over wishbone's abandonment, but when knuckles tearfully explains the situation, it all clicks in dora's head.

though it takes a few weeks, together, isadora, knuckles, and scout isolate wishbone from a patrol of stormtroopers and knock her unconscious and remove her chip.

tragically, by the time they have they have the means to rescue wishbone, all other members of cortex have been reassigned or executed. knuckles and wishbone are the only ones left.

their small group escapes coruscant, and though it takes years, they grieve, heal, and move on. wishbone and isadora reconcile and are able, finally, to have a real relationship. they get married and have children, the youngest of whom is named after wishbone's first daughter, saccharine, lost in order 66.

isadora ariti (she/her)

isadora is wishbone's partner. her and wishbone's story is covered in wishbone's section. isadora was born and raised on coruscant to rylothian refugees and has never left the planet, dreaming only of getting to see the stars one day. she's a waitress at a small but homey diner in the mid-lower levels of coruscant and can often be found at clone rights protests. after the war, she and wishbone escape coruscant and eventually end up getting married and starting a family together.

cortex squad consists of nine clone troopers led by wishbone.

wishbone -- sergeant

cherub -- second-in-command, corporal. generally very laid back and a little gruff. oldest member of the squad.

woozy -- medic, corporal. skilled medic but extremely squeamish, hence the name. he hates his job.

chitin -- riot trooper, corporal. he's self-assured, tough, and acts a lot like a jock. he can sometimes be the cause of tension within the squad due to his stubborn and argumentative nature.

watchdog -- arf trooper, k9 handler, corporal. protective, high-strung, and unable to let down his guard.

sodwatch -- private. quiet, anti-social, and shy. NOTE: Sodwatch is owned by my buddy, not me.

knifepoint -- private. brash and rebellious, though protective of his younger siblings saccharine and knuckles. he's the oldest of wishbone's kids.

saccharine -- private. clever, witty, and humorous, though with a bad mean streak. she's wishbone's middle child.

knucklehead -- private. sweet, friendly, and a little bit stupid.

eyre brraven (they/them)

#eyre brraven

eyre was born on the planet of aldhani, and inducted into the jedi order at a young age. they were rasied in a creche by master bernie namya (@jaigeye), until later becoming a master named rekaar's padawan.

rekaari was loving, but deeply manipulative and neglectful, leaving himself and eyre with a complicated relationship. they were never able to resolve this, however. rekaari was killed with the large batch of jedi at the beginning of the clone wars in the first battle of geonosis. eyre, 15 at the time, fell through the cracks in the rapidly militarizing jedi order. they were assigned command of a small battalion and flitted rapidly from temporary master to temporary master. the assignments came more and more infrequently, until eventually eyre's battalion existed independently, and eyre with it.

eyre was compassionate, but a poor leader. this left the burden of leadership to their clone commander, caelifer. caelifer assumed it with pride and eyre, understanding of their own failings, did everything they could to support caelifer and affirm his authority. over time, they grew to become close friends, and eyre—though a fallible leader—became a beloved member of their company.

the majority of eyre's company was slaughtered in a singular event when caelifer and eyre recieved faulty information and marched into a trap.

this event drew the attention of the jedi order, who them summoned eyre to present them with knighthood. these tragic events were deemed sufficient as trials. eyre was disgusted by the council's view of their company's deaths as a trial in eyre's own life. eyre left the jedi order.

they spent the next several years drifting in an attempt to find personal meaning outside the jedi order, working odd jobs and travelling around the galaxy. at some point, they encountered a messenger of the Hidden Path, and were encouraged to return to a life of fighting. hesitant, they did so, and became an instrumental member of the underground network and a trusted ally to the rebel alliance.

balqiyros votha (he/him)

balqiyros is a firbolg barbarian. he is my current main d&d character.

Orphaned at a young age, Balqiyros (born Balqīros Čosiq'a) and his younger brother Sylliqir were taken in by a local chapter of the Taetonic Order, and raised in a happy, devout childhood by various devotees. They were given the surname Votha, as is given to all orphaned children raised in the Order. Balqiyros became a devotee to Taeton Zuiesa; a cleric and a healer, and forbidden by his oath to cause harm or take a life.

After he left his life at the temple to explore—his home, the Orillian Coast, and the neighboring region Winterhold—he met a firbolg who would become his wife. Her name was Adisyn, and she was a fighter for freedom in her war-torn home of Winterhold. Balqiyros could never join her in her fight, but he loved her and how she fought for the freedom of her people. He joined her camp, becoming their healer and trusted advisor.

Balqiyros' outlook on life and religion changed. Together, he and Adisyn had a son, Qiymar. He was a bright, kind child, and the light of Balqiyros' life.

Adisyn died in battle when Qiymar was 6. Balqiyros was crushed by her death, but found solace in his god and in his community.

18 years later, as soon as he came of age, Qiymar decided to join the fighting forces. Balqiyros was heartbroken that his son didn't want to follow in his footsteps as a devotee to a peaceful religion, but accepted his decision nonetheless. Bal followed Qiymar to war, determined to protect him.

Qiymar was locked in combat when his enemy struck a fatal blow. Without thought, Balqiyros struck the enemy down, killing him in one fell swoop. He whirled around, dropping to his knees at his son's side, but found no power at the tips of his fingers after a prayer fell from his lips. He had broken his oath killing his son's attacker and lost the ability to save his son's life. Qiymar died in his father's arms. Biologically, he was 16.

For breaking his vows, Balqiyros was expelled from his order. He abandoned his faith in the god he had worshiped for over two hundred years, swearing to never follow a god again. Instead of the grief that had weighed him down after Adisyn's death, Qiymar's death filled him with rage. Balqiyros had given more than two hundred and fifty years of his life to Taeton and asked for nothing, and in his moment of need, there was only silence.

Balqiyros became a barbarian.

With nothing but grief tying him to Pairamatoma, Balqiyros booked passage on a ship to the new world: Tengaldali. He traveled around in solitude for fifteen years, doing odd jobs, before he found himself in the employ of Ellianwen, a wizard in hiding. He appreciated her quietly mirthful nature and grew to trust her, spending five years working for her. At some point, Ellianwen hired a young woman named Wren to join him. He grew to care deeply for her, and though he could never admit it, began to see her as a daughter.

In 741, Balqiyros and Wren encountered a group of adventurers named "Team Friendship". At the behest of Ellianwen, they decided to join the group for a time…

dzhaire (he/him)

dzhaire is a tiefling cleric. he started as my baldur's gate 3 character, but later became a character i played in d&d.

dzhaire's mother was cursed by an evil spirit named the nightfaith. the nightfaith used to be a god of intrigue and sisterhood named anseth, but she killed her twin brother clarion (god of clearheadedness and brotherhood) in a fit of jealous rage and was cast out of the pantheon, cursed to roam the mortal plane as a spirit of nighttime and hunger for the rest of time. the nightfaith has only ever had one cleric at any one point. the nightfaith cursed dzhaire's mother when she offended her, promising that at her happiest moment, the nightfaith's blessing wound find her.

dzhaire was 21 when his younger sister, azheria, had her coming of age ceremony. azheria was the apple of dzhaire's eye; always the only person he would defend. dzhaire was helping azheria get ready when the nightfaith's curse found him. he was possessed by her, and brutally killed azheria. when dzhaire awoke to his sister's corpse and blood on his hands, he ran blindly into the woods and away from his sin. he was found there by the nightfaith, who promised to do away with all his problems. dzhaire, destroyed agreed; forgiveness, for in exchange for everything.

the nightfaith wiped dzhaire's memories of his life before her. he spent 15 years in her service before he was abducted by the nautiloid. her spent months travelling with a group of companions (the ones you know and love—shadowheart, gale, and co). the humanity that they showed dzhaire for the first time he could ever remembered started to make him question the nightfaith's abusive ways. though it took great time and effort, dzhaire broke free of the nightfaith with the help of a frozen remenant of clarion's power. he regained all his memories, but was forced to relive his sister's death and the family he left behind.

it was all moot in the face of the absolute's power, though. dzhaire and his companions defeated the disciples of the dead three. and then he and gale got married and lived happily ever after lol
