It’s a great distinction that ford and Stan want the twins to stay out of what they are doing, not because they are annoying, or something new interrupting his long process, but because they are scared. They want to protect them. Ford and Stan each lost each other and their family to this machine, and they don’t want to lose the twins. As much as each is gruff and may pretend to be annoyed, Stan makes sure it’s clear that he loves them, and whenever he’s mad, it’s either for their safety, or a joking mad wherein he’s sure they know that too

i think its really really important to remember how EASILY stan couldve dropped a "now i have to deal with you BRATS for the summer.." or ford to slip a "dont let these snotty little children near my lab again, stan." but instead they never do that like. idk.

i like how the show makes it a very important and clear point that at least hear, the twins are Loved and Cherished and Wanted. so very wanted.

stan ADORES THEM. in his bones. hes trying to give them freedom but he is so so worried.

ford goes from growling to MELTING on sight "shermie had kids?" they are his babies.

its a very good and nice point like. these children are Loved and Wanted and their guardians are trying so hard and that is the bare minimum. and Not loving your kids is a bad fucked up thing to do with bad consequences.

You know I never got the whole “actually, Frankenstein was the doctor” argument, cause Frankenstein was a last name, so legally Frankenstein’s monster also would’ve been frankenesrein, cause it’s a surname. Like he was victor, why couldn’t that be been John Frankenstein, monster son of mad scientist victor Frankenstein. I understand he(The monster) was unnamed in the original book, which is why the argument of the monster’s name applies normally, but I feel like it’s fair to say that the monster also had the name Frankenstein

When I was young my dad offhandedly told me he thought people treated fish with so much casual cruelty because fish can’t scream.

The words branded themselves across my soul.

As an adult I think he may have been joking. He payed no especial attention to any indignities fish suffered in our household but I could never forget. I saw fish in a different light after that.

Fish kept in tiny bowls, breathing their own poisons, dying by inches. Fish kept in cold tanks, casually disposed of. Fish touted as being short lived when they could outlive the better loved family dog if only they could breathe. Fish casually won and discarded in cheap plastic bags, thrown away a week later.
